1/15 TNA iMPACT Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s coverage of TNA iMPACT on January 15, from the the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas.
We are live from the the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas, as AJ Styles makes his way to the ring to start the new era of TNA on AMC.
The crowd began chanting for him. He came out to his old TNA theme song. Hannifan described him as the first face of TNA who was inspired countless others.
The AMC logo was on the mats outside the ring and the barricades.
Styles said he was going to keep it short and sweet and “we got some wrestling to do.” He welcomed everyone to the house that AJ Styles built, but said it is bigger, badder and bolder than ever – and is now on AMC. The fans chanted for AMC. Hey, that never happened on The Walking Dead! Styles asked the fans live to keep that energy and said they are the TNA Nation. He led a TNA chant.
They went into the official opening for the series.
The Hardys & Elijah vs. Order 4 (Mustafa Ali & The Great Hands)
Justin Lyons played the Hardys theme live. They plugged social media creators, including their own BDE, were streaming live at the show.
The bell rings as both teams brawl. Order 4 sends the Hardys to the floor and attack Elijah. He fights back as Ali is on the top rope and used Hotch and Skyler to superplex Ali. Jeff sends Ali to the floor as we go to commercial.
Back from the break, Ali tags in and knocks The Hardys off the apron with Hotch. Elijah catches Hotch with a boot, then sends Ali crashing into the middle turnbuckle face first. Steelz hops up on the apron and into the ring, but Jeff sends Ali crashing into her. Matt then delivers a Twist of Fate to Ali and Steelz, and Jeff flies off the top rope to take out Ali.
Elijah delivers a kick to Skyler’s chest and rocks Hotch with a knee. Matt catches Hotch with a Twist of Fate, and Jeff follows it up with a Swanton Bomb to Hotch for the win.
Winners: The Hardys and Elijah
After the match, Special Agent 0 levels Elijah and runs over The Hardys with a double clothesline. Vincent and Dutch run down to the ring, forcing Special Agent 0 to back down. Vincent and Dutch check on Matt and Jeff…but Dutch lands a Sidewalk Slam on Jeff and Vincent clocks him with a right hand. He grabs a chain attached to the ring post and a lock, then locks Jeff’s earlobe to the chain.
Dutch dumps on Matt, and Vincent flies off the top rope to deliver a Swanton Bomb to Matt. Vincent grabs a microphone and says this will hurt him more than The Hardys before stating that The Righteous will dethrone The Hardys as TNA World Tag Team Champions.
Backstage:
Go backstage with Gia Miller interviewing Frankie Kazarian, who is asked about his title defense against Mike Santana later on in the show… AJ Styles comes in and looks Kaz in the face. Kaz asks Styles if he has anything to say to him, it should be just thank you for the house. Styles looks at the TNA title and says, thanks.
– Back from a break, we get a video package showing old TNA Wrestling footage from the early 2000’s, featuring the X-Division.
– They showed boxer Vergil Ortiz Jr. as well as Eric Young and AJ Francis in the crowd. They showed stars from AMC’s Dark Winds, as well as Candice Michelle and Mara Sade. Ryan Nemeth interjected himself and you know where this is going and soon enough, he was clobbered by the actors.
– They showed the angle where Arianna Grace turned on her father, Santino Marella.
In the Arena:
Marella seemed much happier than he was on last week’s show.
Santino’s music hits, as he comes out and down to the ring. He grabs a mic and says hello to the fans. He says tonight is a special night. Thursday Impact on AMC. A lot of new eyes and a lot of pressure. This is beginning of something incredible. He then addresses his daughter turning on him. He is hurt, angry and confused. He says that this not something you can shake off like a water on a duck. He has a company to run. He says the board has decided he can use some assistance because his heart is not fully into. He says the person is very professional and can contribute to the product. Music hits as he points the screen Daria Rae Suit – the former Sonya Deville comes out and down to the ring.
Santino introduces her. Santino welcomes her to TNA. Daria grabs a mic and thanks Santino and the fans. Daria says she has been watching from a far over the years and tells Santino that he is the pillar of the company and keeps smiles on peoples faces. The fans thank Santino. Daria says this is one of the best crowds she has been in front of. Daria says the one thing this company does not need is Santino and doesn’t need his stupid jokes. The company needs structure, professionalism. Daria tells Santino to shut up as he tries to interrupt her. Daria says she has done this before and she can do the job better than Santino can. Daria tells the fans to shut up when she is talking. The fans boo her. She says after her first official business she signed a new Knockout to TNA… Elayna Black! (Formerly Cora Jade in NXT).
Backstage:
AJ Styles found Mike Santana backstage and said he needed to do what he did best tonight, win. Santana thanked him and hugged him.

In the Arena:
Back from the break, Perez Hilton is introduced by the concierge with M and Heather By Elegance. He introduces Mr. Elegance. He says hello AMC. He says he has been chosen and has an incredible transformation. Music for The Inspiration hits, as they make their way down to the ring.
TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Match
The Inspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) vs. The Elegance Brand (M by Elegance and Heather by Elegance)
Perez Hilton was with the Elegance Brand. Hilton knocked the crowd. They introduced “Mr. Elegance.” It was Andreas Ziegler aka “The Hunter” AJZ. He cut a promo but The IInspiration came out and the match began…only to then go to commercial.
Back from the break, Cassie and I think M is down…Jessie is in and Heather, okay…is tagged in. Jessie takes down Heather as Cassie comes in. They double team Heather, sending M to the floor. Jessie covers Heather as the Personal Concierge pulls Jessie off Heather. Jessie back in the ring. M is tagged in. The IInspiration takes out the Personal Concierge. The ref doesn’t see a chop block by M and Heather send Cassie to the floor and M rolls up Jessie to get the win.

Heather, M, the Personal Concierge, Mr. Elegance and Ash by Elegance celebrate while Carlos Silva hands the titles to the new champions.

– Indi Hartwell says she’s been in limbo. She’s here to fulfill her childhood dream…and The Elegance Brand showed up and mocked her. Hartwell said she was going to talk to Santino.
– They aired a video package on The Knockouts division.
In the Arena:
Santino Marella introduced Knockouts Champion Lei Ying Lee. Lee has signed a contract for an Open Challenge at Genesis (Dani Luna is unable to enter the country) and out came NXT’s Zaria with Sol Ruca. Ruca said they were here to scout the Knockouts Tag Team Championship but when she heard about the Open Challenge, she couldn’t resist. Lee is a warrior, but they have a warrior of their own and said Zaria should take the Open Challenge. The crowd chanted for Zaria. Zaria signed the contract. The pop for Ruca and Zaria was almost as big as The Hardys.

Backstage:
Santino Marella informed Cedric Alexander that they had a problem with visas and Leon Slater won’t be at Genesis. It will instead be Moose vs. Joe Hendry vs. Cedric at the PPV and Cedric will get his X-Division Championship match down the line.
In the Arena:
The System came out to cut a promo on stage. JDC said he’s proud to end his career with TNA. He said next week, he’ll be in the ring retired to announce the newest member of The System. He said tha he loves Eddie Edwards as a brother and has nothing but respect for him as a man and a wrestler but he’s not going out like a punk. Eddie either pulls the trigger, or JDC will on Saturday.
In the Arena:
TNA President Carlos Silva came out and brought out DIXIE CARTER. She was booed by a big portion of the live crowd. She asked how many have been watching all these years. She thanked the fans and said it was a sentimental night for her and thanked everyone…and out came Bully Ray. He shook Carlo’s hand and faced off with Dixie, who he legitimately hurt when putting her through a table. She looked nervous and then hugged him.
TNA Championship Match
Kazarian vs. Mike Santana
Bully joined the commentators. Mike Santana entered from the crowd.
Back from a break, we get a big ‘TNA’ chant. Santana goes for a spin the block, but Kaz ducks it. Santana takes down Kaz, who is quick to get back up. Santana connects with a big elbow on Kaz and then sends him to the floor. Santana leaps over the ropes and lands on Kaz on the floor. Santana charges at Kaz, but he sent into the barricade, as both men are down.
We go to commercial.
Back from the break, the action is back in the ring. Kaz drops Santana with a backstabber. Kaz covers Santana, but he kicks out at two! Kaz slaps Santana and jaws at him. Kaz slaps Santana again, but it fires him up! Santana sends Kaz down. Kaz is in the corner, as Santana chops him. Santana blocks a kick from Kaz. Kaz runs the ropes, as Santana connects with a superkick!…Santana then drops Kaz with a rolling buck fifty and covers the champ, but its not enough to keep him down…Kaz is up on the top rope. Kaz and Santana exchange blows. Santana drops Kaz with a Spanish Fly from the top rope! Santana then connects with a code red on Kaz and covers him, but the champ kicks out at two!
Kaz is down in the corner as Santana goes for a cannonball, but Kaz gets his knees up and then hits an angels wings on Santana and covers him for only a two count. Kaz goes for a chicken wing, but Santana counters and rolls up Kaz for just a two count. Santana is dropped with a sling shot cutter and then Kaz hits Santana with a big leg drop! Kaz covers Santana for only a two count! Kaz goes to the floor and grabs the World Title belt. The ref grabs the belt…Both men exchange slaps in the center of the ring. Kaz goes to kick Santana and instead hits the ref, who goes down. Santana hits Kaz with a spin the block and covers Kaz, but the ref is still down, so he can’t make the three count. Kaz grabs the title belt and nails Santana with it while the ref is still down. Kaz hits Santana with a fade to black on the ring apron. Kaz rolls Santana in the center of the ring and covers him, but Santana kicks out at two! Santana then comes back and hits Kaz with a spin the block and covers the champ who kicks out at two!… Kaz goes for spin the block, but Santana ducks and then hits Kaz with a spin the block and covers him for the win!
Winner and NEW TNA World Champion: Mike Santana
After the match, TNA President Carlos Silva hands the title belt to Santana, who will defend the title against Kaz in a rematch. Santana kisses the belt and celebrates as the show goes off the air.
– Here is what’s in store for tonight’s show –
Frankie Kazarian will put the TNA World Championship on the line tonight as he defends against former champion Mike Santana. The rivalry between the two has intensified over the past several weeks, ever since Kazarian cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet opportunity — which he co‑won with Nic Nemeth at Bound For Glory on October 12 — to dethrone Santana on the November 13 episode of Thursday Night iMPACT. Santana has been laser‑focused on reclaiming the title he lost, and tonight he finally gets his chance.
The IInspiration — Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee — will defend the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship for the first time since retaining against Victoria Crawford and Tessa Blanchard at Final Resolution on December 5. Their challengers are The Elegance Brand’s M By Elegance and Heather By Elegance, the very team McKay and Lee dethroned for the titles back on October 2. With the former champions looking to regain their gold and The IInspiration continuing to build momentum, this rematch carries major stakes for the Knockouts tag division.
Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy team with Elijah in a Six‑Man Tag Team Match against Order 4’s Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler. This bout marks Elijah’s first match since teaming with Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs to defeat Trick Williams, Dezmond Xavier, and AJ Francis on the June 17 episode of WWE NXT. Meanwhile, Ali, Hotch, and Skyler already hold a victory over The Hardys and Cedric Alexander from Turning Point on November 14, giving Order 4 a psychological edge heading into tonight’s clash.
Additionally, TNA legend and current WWE star AJ Styles is set to appear on tonight’s show as Thursday Night iMPACT makes its AMC debut. With Styles’ history in TNA and his global star power, his appearance adds an extra layer of excitement to an already stacked card.
