ESPN President Praises WWE Partnership – ESPN President Burke Magnus has offered a strong vote of confidence in WWE as the two sides continue building their growing broadcasting partnership. With ESPN now carrying multiple Premium Live Events and preparing for its first-ever WrestleMania broadcast, Magnus described the relationship as productive, smooth, and built on clear communication. His comments came during an appearance on the SI Media with Jimmy Traina podcast, where he discussed how the collaboration has evolved in recent months.

Magnus spoke highly of WWE President Nick Khan and the entire WWE leadership team, noting that their prior work together created a solid foundation for this new level of cooperation. He explained that although ESPN and WWE had collaborated in smaller ways in the past, the current partnership has revealed how dedicated WWE’s staff is to promoting the brand and its talent. According to Magnus, that effort is a major reason why the early stages of the relationship have run so well.

“It’s gone great so far,” Magnus said. “We’re very familiar with Nick Khan and the team over there. We’ve had engagement with them for years in much smaller ways. They are fantastic to work with. They really hustle on behalf of their property. Those appearances don’t just happen unless you have a league to make those people available. The superstars are highly engaged in promoting themselves, the broader WWE, and their stories. It’s been really good so far.”

Magnus then shifted his focus to ESPN’s first wave of WWE Premium Live Events. The network has already aired two shows, including one held in the Middle East that required broadcasting in an unusual time slot. He also referenced the recent Wrestlepalooza event, noting that it was a fresh experience for ESPN viewers. With Survivor Series taking place this weekend in San Diego, Magnus believes the event will offer valuable insight into how the partnership is performing as they move closer to their biggest test yet—WrestleMania.

“We’re looking forward to WrestleMania this year, which would be our first,” Magnus said. “We’ve had two PLEs to date, one was in the Middle East, so it was on an off-hour. Wrestlepalooza was new. Survivor Series this weekend is going to be a really good measuring stick for how it’s going. In terms of the interaction between the team at WWE and us, it’s been great.”
