The 2025 Continental Classic officially kicks off tonight, promising a showcase of elite talent across both the Blue and Gold Leagues. In the opening Blue League bout, Death Riders leader Jon Moxley will collide with Macsara Dorada, setting the tone for the tournament’s intensity. Meanwhile, the Gold League begins with two marquee clashes: Darby Allin faces JetSpeed’s Kevin Knight, and reigning Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada squares off against his Don Callis Family stablemate Kyle Fletcher in a battle that could reshape the faction’s internal dynamics.
The Gold League field is stacked with star power. Alongside Okada, Fletcher, Knight, and Allin, the bracket also features Death Riders standout PAC and Knight’s JetSpeed partner “Speedball” Mike Bailey. The Blue League is equally formidable, boasting IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita of the Don Callis Family, Claudio Castagnoli of the Death Riders, Roderick Strong, and Orange Cassidy, in addition to Moxley and Dorada. With such diverse lineups, the Continental Classic is primed to deliver unpredictable outcomes and fresh rivalries.
The AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament also continues tonight with semifinal action. Sisters of Sin—Julia Hart and Skye Blue—will meet Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron of Babes Of Wrath. Hart and Blue advanced after defeating Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata in the quarterfinals, while Babes Of Wrath shocked the field by eliminating Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena and TBS Champion Mercedes Moné. With a finals berth on the line, both teams will be fighting to cement their place in AEW history.
Adding to the night’s drama, Samoa Joe will celebrate his stunning victory at Full Gear. Joe ended “Hangman” Adam Page’s 133-day reign as AEW World Champion in a brutal Steel Cage encounter. The turning point came when HOOK revealed himself as the newest member of The Opps, entering the cage and striking Page with the championship belt to secure Joe’s win. Now aligned with HOOK, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata, Joe will host a celebration marking the beginning of his reign and the dominance of The Opps.
