Lynch returned to WWE at WrestleMania last year after taking time away in 2024 when her previous contract ended. During that period, she reached an understanding with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque that allowed her to step back before committing to another run. That decision ultimately led to her return under the current deal, which she has now confirmed will be her last.
The 38-year-old also discussed the emotional challenges that come with balancing her career and motherhood. Lynch admitted that the travel demands of WWE have taken a toll, particularly when it comes to time away from her daughter, Roux. She spoke candidly about feeling guilt over extended absences, a factor that has played a major role in her decision-making regarding her future.
Since joining WWE in 2013, Lynch has built one of the most accomplished résumés in the company’s modern era. She is a seven-time world champion and has remained a central figure in the women’s division for more than a decade. Her current reign as Women’s Intercontinental Champion adds another milestone to that legacy.
Lynch is coming off a successful title defense on this week’s episode of RAW, where she defeated Maxxine Dupri to retain the championship, thanks to an unexpected help by Natalya. As her final contract continues, Lynch remains active at the top of the division, with her eventual retirement now officially acknowledged.
