Britt Baker Thanks Fans for Support Amid AEW Absence – Former AEW Women’s World Champion Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. has broken her silence on social media, taking a moment to thank her loyal supporters during what has been an extended absence from television. In a recent post on X, Baker acknowledged that social media often attracts “trolls” but emphasized her appreciation for the “real fans” who continue to stand by her.

Once the centerpiece of AEW’s women’s division, Baker’s role on television has diminished significantly over the past two years. Her last match came in November 2024, marking the end of a year in which she wrestled just five times. This was a stark contrast to her breakout year in 2021, when she captured the AEW Women’s World Championship and competed in 30 matches, establishing herself as one of AEW’s top stars.

Despite her lengthy absence, Baker has been clear that she has not retired from in-ring competition. Back in August, she addressed her status directly, assuring fans that she fully intends to return. AEW President Tony Khan also commented on her situation, noting that he “likes Britt a lot” and hinting that her return to TV will come when the timing and creative direction make sense.

While her reduced presence has led to speculation, Baker has continued to make headlines behind the scenes, and her name remains one of the most recognizable in the AEW women’s division. For now, she appears focused on staying connected with her fanbase and embracing the positive support she continues to receive.

The AEW women’s division has evolved significantly in Baker’s absence. Kris Statlander currently holds the AEW Women’s World Championship, while Mercedes Mone reigns as TBS Champion, highlighting a generational shift at the top of the division. Baker’s eventual return could provide a major boost, adding star power and history to an already competitive roster.
