Jey Uso Placed in Concussion Protocol After Match at WWE Wrestlepalooza – Jey Uso is dealing with a potential concussion following his tag team bout at Saturday’s WWE Wrestlepalooza from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. According to Bryan Alvarez, Uso was placed in concussion protocol after suffering a scary incident during the match that saw The Usos take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Alvarez reported that the injury occurred when Jey struck Breakker with a steel chair, only for it to ricochet off Breakker’s back and hit Jey in the head. “Jey busted himself open, he hit Bron with the chair and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday,” Alvarez explained. “He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”
The use of chairs was made legal just before the match when LA Knight was revealed as the surprise special guest referee. Knight and Jey’s ongoing feud added extra tension to the contest, with their dissension visible throughout. Moments after the injury spot, Breakker delivered a massive spear that sent both Usos crashing through a table. Bronson Reed followed up with his devastating Tsunami splash on Jey, securing the victory for his team.
The night also featured another high-profile loss for their ally Seth Rollins. Rollins and Becky Lynch were defeated by AJ Lee and CM Punk, marking Punk’s first in-ring appearance in more than a decade.
As of now, WWE has not provided an official update on Jey Uso’s status, but the concussion protocol will determine when he can return to action.
