9/12 WWE SmackDown Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of WWE SmackDown on September 12, from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
We are live from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, as Brock Lesnar makes his way to the ring to start the show. Before Brock can speak, R Truth’s music plays and he raps his way to the ring.
Truth asks what’s up and Brock tells Truth to shut up.
Truth tells Brock he is gonna go a different route. He says he is going to be the first WWE superstar to welcome Brock back to WWE. With that being said, he says he used to be scared of Brock. He says he ain’t scared of Brock no more.
Brock says he doesn’t know who he is and he tells him that he better have a good reason to come out.
Truth says Brock disrespected his boyhood hero for the last 25 years.
Brock asks him how old is he and what is his name.
Truth tells Brock who he is. He says he is done with the disrespect.
Brock says he is looking for John Cena. He asks Truth if he knows where John is tonight.
Truth says he does not.
Brock asks Truth why is he in his ring.
Truth says he is here to defend his older brother and childhood hero.
Truth corrects Brock and says his name is Ron Cena.
Brock wants to confirm that Truth does not know where John is. He asks him why is he here.
Truth says he is here because of the disrespect. He says John went crazy this year and he made a child cry. SuperCena is coming for you and he is fueled with hustle, loyalty, respect, and two drops of that kid’s tears. He won’t be running from the beast, he will be beating on him.
Brock asks Truth if he is John’s brother. Brock says that Truth is missing a tooth. Brock gives Truth an F5 and his pants are ripped.
Backstage:
Sami says it means a lot to do the Open Challenges. He says he is happy that this is his first opponent. He talks about how their paths have been similar. They have never met before but they will give Norfolk a hell of a match. We see that he is facing Rey Fenix.
We Hear from Solo Sikoa
Solo asks if you know what he had to sacrifice to get that title into his hands? He sacrificed love, loyalty, his own flesh and blood. To prove what? For it to be taken out of his hands. He says he lost his bloodline. He lost his ula fala. He lost his US Title. Change is going to happen. He says he will lead this family and take back what he lost. He has been living in the shadows of others for too long. It is time for others to live in his shadow and of his family tree.
Rey Fenix vs. Sami Zayn for the United States Championship
Rey with a side head lock and Sami with arm drags and an arm drag into an arm bar and wrist lock. Rey goes to the turnbuckles with a wrist lock and he hits a springboard wrist lock take down. Sami sends Rey to the apron and Rey with a shoulder and a springboard head scissors and he goes for a suicide dive but he twists in the ropes when Sami moves. Sami returns to the ring. Sami with a wrist lock and take down for a near fall. Rey with chops. Rey with a kick to the midsection and a handspring back elbow. Rey with a rollup for a near fall. Rey with a side head lock and a knee to the midsection. Sami with a springboard leap frog off the ropes and he hits a clothesline for a near fall. Sami suplexes Rey back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Sami with a back elbow and he gets a near fall.
Sami with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Sami with an arm bar and a chin bar combination. Sami with an Irish whip and Rey sends Sami to the apron and Rey with a springboard round kick to knock Sami off the apron. Rey sets for a twisting pescado and he hits it. Rey goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Rey with a forearm and he blocks a Blue Thunder Bomb and then he turns another attempt into a head scissors take down for a near fall. Rey does a wacky swing in the ropes and he hits a super kick for a near fall. Rey goes to the turnbuckles and misses a moonsault when Sami moves. Sami sets for a Helluva Kick and misses when Rey gets out of the corner. Rey with a leaping hesitation DDT for a near fall.
Rey with a chop and he puts Sami on the turnbuckles. Rey sets for a superplex but Sami blocks it. Sami with a punch and a sunset flip power bomb for a near fall. Sami goes up top and Rey with a leaping uppercut. Sami knocks Rey off the turnbuckles and Sami goes for a move off the turnbuckles but Rey with a super kick for a near fall. Rey with kicks to the chest and Rey gets a near fall. Rey goes up top and Sami stops him. Sami with forearms and he gets Rey on his shoulders. Rey with elbows and a double stomp on the turnbuckles for a near fall. Rey goes tot he apron and he hits a double jump moonsault for a near fall. Rey with a front face lock and he goes for a suplex but Sami blocks it. Rey blocks a suplex attempt from Sami. Sami blocks a super kick and Sami misses a belly-to-back suplex. Rey goes for a handspring move but Sami catches Rey and hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.
Rey with a jaw breaker but Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Sami sets for a Helluva Kick. Sami runs into a rolling rana for a near fall. Rey with a runinng kick to Sami from the ropes. Rey misses the springboard round kick and Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Sami sets for the Helluva Kick and hits it for the three count.
Winner: Sami Zayn
– We take a look at B-Fab.
We see her on the phone and Kiana James and Giulia stop by to talk about what happened to Michin. B-Fab says they jumped Michin but she says she has been busy with the Profits. She says she is not busy now. Kiana wants to know why he is talking to her client. Giulia offers her a match for tonight.
– The Wyatts interrupt the feed. Bo asks where do the Profits go from here? In Paris, we tried you, we tested you, and you failed. You are not at war with flesh, but the principality. Rowan says it pains him to see things tearing at the seams. You don’t realize what you have until it is gone. You have a tough choice ahead of you. Bo says they are not the one to blame. They sowed the seeds. Where do the Profits go from here?

Giulia (with Kiana James) vs. B-Fab
Fab drops Kiana on the top rope. Giulia kicks Fab off the apron. Giulia sends Fab into the ringside barrier a few times. Giulia sends Fab back into the ring and Kiana kicks Fab and then holds her for the running kick. Giulia sets for a curb stomp and . . .
Michin’s music plays. Kiana goes to confront her but Michin hits KIana with the kendo stick a few times.
Michin misses Giulia and she goes to the floor.
– Drew McIntyre works out in GYM as he prepares for Randy Orton.
– Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill walk in split screen.
We go to commercial.
– We are back with the announcement of Wrestlemania 43 in Riyadh in 2027.
We Hear from Aleister Black
Aleister Black says after he tricked you into putting his heel in your jaw, he had him with his venom. He tells Priest he is both sick and pure. You can continue to fight by your code and he can be the sickness. If you can show how destructive, the consequence is yours. You can die by that code. Violence against violence and Black says he shall be your prophet.
WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs Jade Cargill
Jade misses a bicycle kick and Tiffany with punches. Jade tosses Tiffany into the ropes. Jade blocks an arm drag and Tiffany with a drop kick. Tiffany goes for a handspring move into the corner but Jade catches her. Tiffany escapes but Jade with a power slam for a near fall. Jade goes for a suplex but Tiffany with a knee to stop it and Tiffany with a rollup for a near fall. Jade goes through the ropes to the floor and Tiffany with a pescado. Tiffany goes up top and Jade with a forearm to stop her. Jade with a superplex. Jade stretches Tiffany in the ropes and connects with forearms. Jade with a chop and kicks in the corner. Jade chokes Tiffany. Jade sends Tiffany into the turnbuckles. Jade sends Tiffany to the floor. Jade goes to the floor and she sends Tiffany into the ringside barrier.
Jade sends Tiffany back into the ring. Jade with a kick to the back. Jade with a reverse chin lock. Tiffany sends Jade into the ropes and Tiffany with a running hip to the back. Jade with a Black Hole Slam for a near fall. Jade returns to the reverse chin lock. Tiffany with elbows and Jade catches Tiffany on a cross body attempt. Jade with a fallaway slam. Jade misses a splash into the corner and Tiffany with a spinebuster. Tiffany with a clothesline but Jade stays on her feet. They both go for clotheslines at the same time. Jade blocks a rolling Alabama Slam but Tiffany blocks a power bomb into a rana. Tiffany with a handspring back elbow followed by a drop kick.
Tiffany goes up top and hits a swanton for a near fall. Jade with a super kick and Tiffany goes to the floor. Tiffany trips Jade on the apron and Tiffany goes for a baseball slide but Jade catches Tiffany and Jade drops Tiffany face first on the apron. Jade misses a bicycle kick and Tiffany gets Jade up for a Finlay Slam and she goes for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever but Jade crotches Tiffany. Jade with Three Seconds Around the World for a near fall. Jade sets for a choke slam and Tiffany with a victory roll for a near fall. Tiffany floats over and she gets Jade up for an Alabama Slam and she hits it. Tiffany misses the Prettiest Moonsault Ever but she over rotates and lands on her feet and rolls through. Jade with a bicycle kick and both women are down.
They exchange forearms and then each get a chance for many forearms. Jade is sent to the apron and she brings Tiffany to the apron. They exchange forearms. Jade with a thrust kick but she misses a shoulder when Tiffany moves and Jade hits the ring post. Tiffany with a drop kick. Tiffany goes up top for a moonsault onto Jade on the floor but Jade moves. Jade picks up Tiffany like a blocking dummy and runs Tiffany through the ringside barrier.
The referee makes the ten count.
Double Count Out
After the match, Nia Jax attacks Tiffany and Jade. NIa with a Samoan drop on the floor. Nia with a head butt to Tifffany followed by a pop up head butt. Nia pulls Tiffany into the corner for an aNIAlator.
Backstage:
Nick Aldis leaves his office and Chelsea and Alba are waiting for their tag title match. What are they waiting for? Nick says Charlotte’s injury is legitimate. Chelsea claims that it is collusion. She notes that Charlotte is protected. If Nick doesn’t do what she wants, everyone will know her wrath. Nick says that Chelsea and Alba can face the winner of Tuesday’s tag title match. Miz shows up and Nick says Carmelo talked to him about title matches.
– We take a look at John Cena and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza. Did you know it will be on ESPN in the US?
We go back to 2000 with footage from OVW. We see the early days of Brock Lesnar and John Cena on the main roster in 2002. We take a look at John’s transition into the Doctor of Thuganomics. We see the build to John winning the US title at Wrestlemania 20 while Brock left the company.
Backstage:
Vero Rodriguez is with Rey Mysterio.
Rey talks abot the Mega Championship Match and Dom Mysterio shows up. Dom says he will be the first Mysterio to be Mega Champion. Dom says after he wins, he tells Rey he can come out and raise his hand and put the title around his waist. Rey says if Dom wins, he will do it. Finn Balor shows up and he says the best way to show that he is the best luchador is to win the title alone.
Backstage:
Cathy Kelley is with Sami Zayn.
Sami says Rey is a future star and he cannot say enough good things. Carmelo Hayes stops by and he says they don’t always get along, but since you are giving out opportunities, he’s got next. Sami tells Melo not to miss. Hayes turns around and Miz is there.Miz mentions that he heard Nick talked to him about a title match. Miz is shocked that Hayes is going for the US Title. Miz tells Hayes he is here to guide him to the tag titles. Hayes says he can guide him to the US title and they can win the tag titles.
Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre
They lock up and Drew with a kick on the break followed by a punch. Drew sends Randy into the turnbuckles and Drew with an Irish whip and Randy with a clothesline out of the corner because you don’t Irish whip Randy Orton. Randy goes to the turnbuckles to punch Drew. Randy clotheslines Drew over the top rope to the floor. Drew takes his time getting back into the ring. Randy with punches. Drew with a back elbow for a near fall. Drew goes for a double wrist lock. Drew pulls Randy to the mat and he applies an arm bar. Randy with punches. Drew with a head butt. Randy with thumbs to the eyes and Drew punches Randy and Orton goes to the floor. Drew follows and Randy avoids being sent into the announce table.
Randy wtih another thumb to the eyes and he sends Drew into the ringside barrier. Randy with a European uppercut and they return to the ring. Drew rakes the eyes. Randy with a suplex and it is Garvin Stomp time. Randy finishes it with a leaping knee drop but Randy has trouble getting back to his feet. Drew kicks Randy in the knee and Drew clips the leg. Drew with a running back elbow into the corner. Drew tries to hyper-extend the knee. Drew continues to work on the knee. Drew with a figure four leg lock. Randy tries to roll over to reverse the hold and Randy gets over. Drew gets to the ropes to force a break. They exchange punches and Randy with a belly-to-back suplex.
Randy goes to the floor and he sends Drew’s head into the announce table and then he sets for a back drop driver onto the table but Drew rakes the eyes and Drew with a back drop driver onto the announce table and he clips Randy again. Drew gets back into the ring to break the count. The referee continues his count on Randy. Randy beats the count back into the ring. Drew with elbow drops to the leg. Drew with a figure four to the leg. Drew puts the leg on the rope and Drew stands on the leg and drops down on the knee. Randy and Drew exchange punches. Drew with a kick and he slams Randy into the ropes. Randy goes to the loor and up the aisle to get feeling back into his leg.
Drew punches Randy as they get back into the ring. Orton with a thumb to the eye and he sends Drew into the turnbuckles. Randy with a European uppercut. Drew with a hard Irish whip. Drew sets for a figure four but Randy kicks Drew over the top rope to the floor. Drew gts back in and Randy with two clotheslines and then he ducks a clothesline and Drew knows the sequence so he avoids a power slam. Randy sends Drew to the apron and Drew drops Randy on the top rope. Drew charges at Randy and Randy hits the power slam. Drew goes to the apron and Randy sets for the IEDDT but Drew gets away. Randy goes to the floor and he hits a back drop driver onto the announce table.
Randy with another back drop driver. They return to the ring and Drew with a Claymore but Randy goes to the floor. Drew sends Randy back into the ring but Randy with an RKO ut Drew rolls to the apron and falls to the floor. Drew pushes Randy into the apron and then rolls Randy back into the ring. Randy kicks Drew when he gets back in the ring and Randy with an IEDDT. Randy is bleeding from the forehead and he sees Drew bent over in the ring. Randy backs up and the referee stops him. Randy has some words for the referee and then he misses the kick. Drew pushes Randy to the referee and Randy stops short. Drew with a Claymore for the three count.
Winner: Drew Mcintyre
After the match, Drew sets for the Claymore through the announce table, but . . .
Cody Rhodes’ music plays and he goes after Drew. Cody with punches and a Cody Cutter.
Cody takes a mic and he tells Drew that it is going to be the two of them at Wrestlepalooza.

Drew McIntyre returns to singles action for the first time since teaming with Logan Paul in a losing effort against Cody Rhodes and John Cena on August 8. He’ll face longtime rival Randy Orton in a rubber match, with each man holding a win over the other from their encounters on March 28 and July 12. Their feud has escalated through backstage attacks and pointed video messages, and tonight’s clash could settle the score—or ignite it further2.
