Eric Bischoff Thinks Karrion Kross Could Be TNA-Bound – On a recent episode of his 83 Weeks podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff shared his thoughts on Karrion Kross’ uncertain future following his departure from WWE. Bischoff responded to Kross’ comments about his contract situation, where the former WWE star revealed he was given just 24 hours to decide on a new deal. The reported offer only covered him, while his wife and on-screen partner Scarlett’s status was to be determined later.
Bischoff expressed both his admiration for Kross and disappointment with how things played out. “I’ve always liked Karrion Kross as a performer, as a talent, and I also like him as a person. We’ve gotten to know each other just a little bit, not close, but a ton of respect for him in a lot of ways… I’m disappointed. I’m disappointed for Karrion. Obviously, I am for the wrestling fans who obviously had an appetite and wanted to see more of Karrion.”
However, Bischoff advised Kross to be careful when discussing contract matters publicly, suggesting that it could affect his long-term prospects. “I get a little uncomfortable when I see talent, I don’t want to say burning bridges, but when you start talking about contract negotiations publicly. It doesn’t really serve you all that well,” Bischoff said. He added that if he were Kross’ agent, he would advise him to remain focused and use opportunities outside WWE to prove why letting him go was a mistake.
Looking ahead, Bischoff predicted that Kross could find a new home in TNA, a promotion he feels is building real momentum. “I hope he ends up in TNA. TNA has got some shit going on. They’re making good moves. Their audience is growing. I said it here a month or two ago. They’re one major TV deal away from being the number two wrestling promotion in the country, in the world, for that matter… If I had to bet money, I’d bet we see him in TNA first.”
