FOX Nation Partners with Hulk Hogan & Eric Bischoff’s Real American Freestyle – FOX Nation has entered the live sports world in a major way, announcing a new partnership with wrestling legends Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to exclusively broadcast “Real American Freestyle” (RAF), a groundbreaking freestyle wrestling league co-founded by Hogan, Bischoff, Chad Bronstein, and Izzy Martinez.
The streaming platform will air the promotion’s debut event, RAF01, live from the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, August 30th. FOX Nation has also secured rights to broadcast the second RAF event, scheduled for this fall at a yet-to-be-announced venue.
RAF aims to professionalize freestyle wrestling by merging elite athletic competition with top-tier sports entertainment. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Real American Freestyle team as they build a visionary brand that redefines the future of wrestling,” said FOX Nation president Lauren Petterson. “Fusing elite athleticism with unmatched entertainment, it’s an honor to be part of the new era of the world’s oldest and most iconic sport.”
Commissioner Hulk Hogan praised the partnership: “Real American Freestyle is creating something that’s never been done before, and we needed a partner that understood that and could build with us. FOX Nation is synergistic with our brand, they appreciate the importance of bringing this sport to the masses.”
Eric Bischoff, RAF’s Chief Media Officer, added, “FOX Nation immediately understood the vision we had for Real American Freestyle, making them the perfect partner for this historic media rights deal and the first of its kind in the sport.”
RAF01 will feature high-profile bouts including:
- Bo Nickal vs. Jacob Cardenas
- Yianni Diakomihalis vs. Bajrang Punia
- Darrion Caldwell vs. Real Woods
- Austin Gomez vs. Lance Palmer
- Kennedy Blades vs. Alejandra Rivera
- Sarah Hildebrandt vs. Zeltzin Hernandez
The main card headliner is still to be announced.
The commentary team for RAF01 includes Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, former MMA fighter and analyst Chael Sonnen, and world champion wrestler Bubba Jenkins.
RAF is also working in collaboration with UFC, USA Wrestling, NIL collectives, and the NCAA to offer a wide platform for both rising stars and veteran athletes. As part of its community commitment, RAF will donate proceeds from each ticket sold to Cleveland State University to help fund athletic and academic programs.
