Fightful’s report cites multiple wrestling industry sources who have directly asked Kross about his contract status. Each source received the same response: no new deal has been signed. The report also mentions that Kross and his wife, Scarlett, have reportedly told others within the business that WWE has not yet approached them with a new offer.
“Those that we’ve spoken with say Kross claims to them that no new deal has been signed and that his deal is still up in August as of now,” the report states. Fightful further added that they have spoken to at least six contacts across the wrestling industry, all of whom confirmed hearing similar comments either from Kross or Scarlett.
However, WWE’s booking and marketing strategy appears to contradict the idea that Kross could be on his way out. He continues to appear regularly on television, has been featured on recent Premium Live Events, and recently had new merchandise released — typically a sign that WWE sees value in continuing the partnership.
The situation has led to mixed signals. Internally, WWE is said to be handling the matter with discretion, with very few within the company aware of the precise details. Fightful concluded that they don’t expect Kross to publicly address his contract situation until the timing aligns with WWE’s plans, further fueling speculation that a deal may be in the works, just not yet disclosed.
With August approaching quickly, it remains to be seen whether Kross will re-sign with WWE or explore opportunities elsewhere. For now, his future with the company remains officially unconfirmed.
