Thunder Rosa Sidelined Again Due to Undisclosed Injury

Thunder Rosa Sidelined Again Due to Undisclosed Injury – Former AEW Women’s World Champion Thunder Rosa is once again dealing with an injury that has forced her off television, according to a new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. While specifics regarding the nature or severity of the injury have not been disclosed, Rosa is currently inactive, marking another frustrating setback in her AEW career.

This new development follows closely on the heels of her appearance at AEW All In: Texas on July 12, where she took part in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match. That appearance marked her first pay-per-view match in months and was meant to signify her return to regular competition. However, her status now appears uncertain as AEW has yet to provide any official update regarding her condition or a potential timeline for her return.

The report does not clarify whether Rosa’s latest injury occurred during the All In: Texas gauntlet bout. Notably, during that match, fellow competitor Mina Shirakawa suffered a broken hand after delivering a spinning backfist to Rosa. While speculation has arisen regarding the possibility of a connection between the two incidents, there is currently no confirmation that Rosa’s injury stems from that exchange.

This is not Rosa’s first extended absence from AEW due to injury. In 2022, she was forced to step away from competition for over a year because of a serious back injury that ultimately led her to vacate the AEW Women’s World Championship. She did not return to in-ring action until late 2023 and has only recently begun to rebuild her momentum on AEW programming.

Thunder Rosa remains one of AEW’s most popular and decorated female performers, with a reign as Women’s World Champion that helped elevate the division in 2022. Fans had hoped her reemergence in the title scene would lead to new storylines and rivalries, but this latest injury once again puts her career in a holding pattern.

AEW has not issued an official comment regarding her status as of this writing. Everyone at WrestlingAttitude.Com joins the wrestling community in wishing Thunder Rosa a full and speedy recovery.
