Darby Allin’s AEW Return Considered Imminent – Darby Allin is expected to make his return to All Elite Wrestling soon, according to a new report from Fightful Select. The former TNT Champion has been absent from AEW programming throughout 2025 as he pursued his highly publicized goal of climbing Mount Everest.
Originally scheduled to attempt the climb in 2024, Allin’s expedition was delayed due to an injury, pushing the journey into this year and keeping him sidelined for several months. Despite speculation that he might return in time for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, that target proved unrealistic. However, sources within AEW now indicate that Allin’s comeback is “imminent,” and there is growing expectation that he will be involved in the AEW All In: Texas pay-per-view on July 12 in some form.
The report adds that Allin is said to have come back from Everest “relatively unscathed,” and he’s reportedly in good physical condition. While there are currently no confirmed creative plans for his return, several insiders stated they would be “shocked” if he does not appear at All In, even if only in a limited capacity.
Darby Allin’s absence has been felt in AEW, where he had consistently been one of the company’s most high-profile and unique performers. His last match was in late 2024, and his offbeat promos and death-defying style have remained popular among fans.
All In: Texas, set for July 12 at Globe Life Field, is shaping up to be AEW’s biggest domestic event ever, and the return of Darby Allin would add another major name to the card.
