NXT Viewership Hits 2025 Low

NXT Viewership Hits 2025 Low – The July 1 taped edition of WWE NXT on The CW saw a notable drop in overall viewership, drawing an average of 627,000 viewers and a 0.15 rating in the key adults 18–49 demographic. This marked the lowest Tuesday night viewership for NXT so far in 2025, falling from the previous week’s 729,000 viewers and 0.16 demo rating.

The episode featured a heavily promoted main event in which Yoshiki Inamura defeated Jasper Troy to become the new number one contender to NXT Champion Oba Femi. The show also leaned into its ongoing crossover with TNA Wrestling. In the opening match, TNA’s Joe Hendry scored a win over Wes Lee, with TNA World Champion Trick Williams joining the commentary team. Mike Santana made an appearance during the segment, continuing the build to his Slammiversary match.

Other notable segments included Luca Crusifino officially severing ties with The D’Angelo Family and the return of Blake Monroe. Monroe came to the aid of Jordynne Grace, saving her from an attack by the Fatal Influence faction.

Despite the decline in total viewership, NXT showed strong performance with its male audience. The show earned a 0.21 rating among men aged 18–49, which placed The CW as the second-highest-rated network of the night in that demographic. The broadcast also saw growth across its runtime — starting with 612,000 viewers and peaking at 685,000 in the final 30 minutes, which included the Inamura–Troy main event.

The viewership dip occurred during a competitive TV night. NBC’s rerun of America’s Got Talent drew over 3 million viewers, and CBS aired NCIS franchise repeats. On cable, sports coverage provided further challenges — the FIFA Club World Cup aired on TNT, while TBS carried live Major League Baseball. Fox News also maintained its typical dominance in primetime cable ratings.

With Great American Bash approaching on July 12, WWE will look to regain momentum as major title matches and crossover storylines continue to unfold.
