WWE’s Lola Vice to Team with TNA’s Santino Marella at AAA Verano de Escándalo – The WWE-AAA-TNA crossover continues to gain momentum as yet another interpromotional match has been announced, this time featuring the unlikely pairing of WWE NXT’s Lola Vice and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella.
Set to take place on Friday, July 11 at Verano de Escándalo, the duo will team up to face AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions Mr. Iguana and La Hiedra in a mixed tag match. While the bout will see the current champions in action, it has not been officially designated as a title defense.
This announcement adds another layer to WWE’s ongoing integration of AAA talent and branding following its acquisition of the lucha promotion in April. Lola Vice recently competed at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event, while Mr. Iguana’s eccentric in-ring style drew attention from a new audience during that same show.
In another high-profile crossover match, WWE’s Angel and Berto are set to defend the AAA World Tag Team Championships against Laredo Kid and the newly-signed Octagon Jr., who recently made headlines after officially joining WWE.
The event, however, is currently not slated for broadcast in the United States, which could limit immediate viewership but underscores the strategic development of regional events under the WWE-AAA banner.
