Bayley Pulled from WrestleMania 41 After Backstage Attack – WWE has confirmed that Bayley will miss WrestleMania 41 due to injuries sustained during a backstage attack prior to Saturday’s event. The former champion was scheduled to team with Lyra Valkyria to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on WrestleMania Sunday.
WWE official Adam Pearce addressed the situation in a backstage segment during the WrestleMania 41 Saturday broadcast. He informed Valkyria that Bayley had been attacked earlier in the day and was not medically cleared to compete. Pearce gave Valkyria 24 hours to find a replacement partner if she still intends to go forward with the title match on Night Two.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were seen arriving at the arena shortly after the announcement. When approached about the situation, both claimed they had no involvement or knowledge of the attack on Bayley, emphasizing that they had just gotten to the venue.
No additional footage of the attack has been released as of now, and WWE has not named any suspects. The development adds a layer of intrigue to the tag title match, as the mystery surrounding Bayley’s attacker could play into future storylines.
As of now, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match is still scheduled for Sunday night, pending Valkyria’s decision and her choice of partner.
