LA Knight to Defend WWE United States Championship on March 28th SmackDown – During the March 21st episode of WWE SmackDown, LA Knight’s next challenger for the WWE United States Championship was determined after a chaotic match between Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman. Before the match, Strowman announced that the winner would earn a shot at Knight’s title. The battle between Strowman and Fatu was hard-hitting, but the action took a turn when Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga interfered, attacking Strowman. The referee called for the bell, ending the match in a disqualification.
LA Knight then rushed to the ring, helping Strowman fend off Sikoa, Tonga, and Fatu. Following the commotion, the broadcast team confirmed that Strowman would face Knight for the United States Championship on the March 28th episode of WWE SmackDown.
Backstage, Fatu expressed his frustration with Sikoa, and tensions between the two were clearly rising, leading Fatu to walk off in anger.
This will be Knight’s first title defense since he captured the United States Championship on the March 7th episode of SmackDown, where he defeated Shinsuke Nakamura to begin his second reign as champion.
