Mike Santana Gone from AEW

Mike Santana Gone from AEW – Mike Santana has parted ways with AEW, marking his exit from the company. Santana initially debuted on the premiere episode of AEW Dynamite alongside his tag team partner, Ortiz. However, their partnership eventually dissolved on-screen due to a falling out between the two.

Santana’s tenure with AEW faced a significant interruption when he sustained an injury during the Blood and Guts match on June 29, 2022. He remained sidelined for over a year until his return to action at the Stadium Stampede match at ALL IN: London. Despite his comeback, Santana’s involvement in AEW remained limited. He made a singular appearance on an episode of Rampage in September and was featured in some vignettes. Reports surfaced indicating Santana’s dissatisfaction with his portrayal and positioning within AEW.

On his podcast, Konnan disclosed Santana’s sentiment that he should have been higher up on the card. Now that Santana has parted ways with AEW, he becomes a free agent, leaving open the possibility of him appearing elsewhere. While there is no confirmation of interest from promotions like TNA or WWE at this time, it’s conceivable that Santana will resurface in the wrestling scene in the near future.
