WWE Speed Is Coming To X This Spring – As previously reported, WWE recently filed a trademark application for “WWE Speed” with the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office, and now the purpose behind it has been unveiled.
Last December, WWE initiated the trademark filing for a show concept named “WWE Speed.” This move came after several matches were taped under the “WWE Speed” banner at WWE television tapings, each match allotted only five minutes.
Some of these matches included Bronson Reed vs. Nathan Frazer, which saw “Big” Bronson emerge victorious, and Cedric Alexander vs. Axiom, with Alexander securing the win. Commentary for these matches was provided by Corey Graves and the now-released Kevin Patrick.
During the WrestleMania XL Kickoff Press Event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV, WWE made a significant announcement: “WWE Speed” will debut exclusively on X (better known as Twitter) this Spring.
“WWE Speed is a new weekly video series showcasing up to 5-minute matches which will be distributed exclusively on X,” the announcement stated. “Beginning Spring 2024, WWE and X will deliver the new format for high-paced timed matches showcasing your favorite WWE Superstars!”
