Wardlow’s Condition Reportedly Less Positive Than Indicated – As noted, Wardlow has encountered an injury scare during Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite match, where he emerged victorious against Komander.
During the bout, Wardlow appeared to be favoring his knee after receiving a pair of dropkicks. Despite this, he soldiered on, shaking his knee loose to alleviate any discomfort. However, the situation escalated when he executed a powerbomb on Komander towards the end of the match, with his knee giving out slightly and the move appearing awkward.
Following the match, Wardlow was visibly frustrated, muttering expletives and slamming his hands on the ring steps while limping. Despite these concerning signs, Wardlow took to Twitter to reassure fans that he was fine.
However, reports from Wrestling Observer Radio indicate that Wardlow may not be as fine as he claims. According to Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer, Wardlow’s condition is not as positive as he has indicated, suggesting that the injury scare may be more serious than initially believed.
Alvarez: “Wardlow says he is fine. I have been told that it’s not fine.”
Dave Meltzer: “I was told that he was hurt.”
Alvarez: “I was told he’s getting checked out tomorrow. They think it’s possibly a torn meniscus, but that he dodged a bullet, and it wasn’t much worse, and he’ll probably be alright. But he definitely is not fine. Something went wrong.”
As fans await further updates, concerns for Wardlow’s well-being persist, and we hope for a speedy recovery if indeed he is facing an injury setback.
