Update on Rey Mysterio’s In-Ring Return – Rey Mysterio finds himself once again on the sidelines due to a knee injury, adding to a long history of struggles with his knees. This latest setback comes after Mysterio underwent his tenth knee surgery last November, highlighting the toll that his storied career has taken on his body.
The injury occurred following Mysterio’s loss of the United States Title to Logan Paul at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. He was subsequently written off television on SmackDown after an attack by Santos Escobar, who accused Mysterio of siding with Carlito over him.
Having battled with the injury for the past three months, there are plans for Mysterio’s return to coincide with a potential group vs. group feud involving him and Carlito against Escobar and his faction.
According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by Dave Meltzer, Mysterio’s comeback appears imminent, with expectations pointing to his return within the next few weeks.
“Mysterio’s return now looks to be in a few weeks. He was hoping for late January but is pretty close to being ready to return.”
As fans eagerly await his return, Mysterio’s resilience and determination continue to shine through despite the setbacks.
