Rumor Killer on WWE’s WrestleMania Plans for Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and The Rock – The anticipation surrounding WWE’s WrestleMania 40 Kickoff Event is building, with rumors suggesting potential blockbuster match announcements. One of the most anticipated matchups is The Rock vs. Roman Reigns, with The Rock possibly replacing Cody Rhodes as Reigns’ opponent for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
While there’s speculation about Rhodes potentially challenging Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 40, Dave Meltzer clarified on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE’s plans for these three men won’t involve a triple threat match, as some had speculated. Instead, there’s anticipation that WWE could schedule separate matches involving these superstars, potentially spread across both nights of WrestleMania 40.
“Whatever they’re doing, whether it’s a three-way which I was told, it was not going to be, but whether it’s them doing two matches, where Roman wrestles twice, or how they make this thing work. I was told it will likely be completed by the end of the press conference if that is the plan.”
Whether it’s Rock vs. Reigns and Rhodes vs. Reigns on different nights or in some other configuration, fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation from WWE regarding the main event lineup for the historic event.
