Hype Already at a Fever Pitch for WrestleMania XL Following the Royal Rumble

Hype Already at a Fever Pitch for WrestleMania XL Following the Royal Rumble – WrestleMania XL is fast approaching. Now, we have the pieces in place to get truly hyped for the biggest event on the WWE calendar. An incredible showing from two of the biggest and most important superstars in current storylines did what needed to be done to inevitably set up colossal matches at Lincoln Financial Field.

On April 6 and 7, the pay-per-view event will bring an end to some year-long dramas. If all goes to plan, the outcomes of these matches might just hail new champions of the WWE. There’s a lot that could happen, but for now, the pieces are in place. Now, the hype is growing, and fans are craving more wrestling action in the run-up.

Royal Rumble sets our challengers

The Royal Rumble is a tremendous event on its own. Pitting so many fighters against each other in its staggered king-of-the-hill-style format will never not entertain. Some of the very best get unlucky and are sent out really early. Others get lucky with late draws to try to snatch the coveted Royal Rumble crown.

Still, perhaps this year more than many others, much more was on the line in the Royal Rumble. On the Women’s Royal Rumble side, a brutal choice has been placed on the winner, Bayley. She could line up what would be a thrilling shot at the World Championship against Rhea Ripley.

Or, maybe she’ll target teammate IYO Sky for the Women’s Championship. The latter would create a tremendous amount of drama and tee up some enticing storylines in the months to come. Going for the World Championship shot, however, does seem more ambitious and befitting her surge in prominence.

In the Men’s Royal Rumble, as it boiled down to the final two, it’d be fair to say that either one coming out on top would please the fans. CM Punk had returned too much fanfare. Cody Rhodes is held up as the one who can conquer Roman Reigns, finally. In the end, Rhodes came out on top, getting another shot at the Universal Championship.

Getting on the hype train

Weekly and pay-per-view WWE events can only do so much to appease the WrestleMania cravings! Luckily, there’s a lot on that can connect fans to the WWE beyond the TV screen and arenas. Online, the WWE has established itself in the ever-growing space of casino gaming.

Now, fans can spin the reels of WWE Legends: Link and Win as well as WWE: Clash of the Wilds. Clash of the Wilds comes packed with superstars we expect to see at the smash-hit WrestleMania show in April. The WWE is yet to enter the realm of big-hitting jackpot slots just yet, but there’s plenty there to be explored.

For a more traditional way to engage with the huge events on the way, more Road to WrestleMania is fast approaching. On Sunday, February 17 and 18, we get the final installments of the series.

WrestleMania XL promises to be huge, and now’s the best time to jump on the hype train!
