Former WWE Star Confirms AEW Producer Role – Former WWE star and trainer Scott 2 Hotty, whose real name is Scott Garland, has found a new role as a producer in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Garland had previously served as a trainer with WWE from 2016 through 2021, primarily working with the NXT brand at the Performance Center.
Garland requested his release from WWE, which was granted, leading to his subsequent work on the independent wrestling scene. In July, it was reported that he had taken on the role of a producer for AEW.
During an appearance on Wrestling With Johners, Scott Garland confirmed his involvement with AEW in this new capacity. His contributions to AEW’s production team are part of the company’s ongoing efforts to expand its brand and provide high-quality content to its growing fan base across shows like Dynamite, Collision, Rampage, and the recently acquired ROH brand.
“I don’t think it’s a huge secret that I’ve been working for AEW as a producer behind the scenes, as a coach and producer there. I have an opportunity to do more with them on a regular basis. So it looks like at the beginning of the year, I’ll be going pretty hard with them if everything works out the way I hope it does. It’s exciting. It’s bittersweet because I enjoy doing these tours more than anything.”
