Eddie Kingston’s Next Challenger Revealed – Eddie Kingston’s next challenger for the Ring of Honor World Championship has been determined after a Proving Ground match on the latest episode of ROH TV. Following Kingston’s victory over Serpentico, Angelico came forward to challenge Kingston to a future title match, which Kingston accepted. The exact date of the championship match is yet to be announced.
Kingston recently defended his ROH title successfully against Katsuyori Shibata, Komander, and Minoru Suzuki after defeating Claudio Castagnoli in a double title match at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 20, where his NJPW Strong Openweight Championship was also on the line.
Angelico has had a 1-3 record in singles matches in AEW and ROH this year, with his first singles victory coming against Marty Casaus on a recent episode of ROH TV. As a part of the Spanish Announce Project tag team, Angelico has a 3-9 record in tag and trios bouts in ROH and AEW this year.
In other ROH news, a singles match has been confirmed for the upcoming episode on Thursday, October 19, featuring Tony Nese and Ethan Page. After the events of this week’s show, where Mark Sterling offered Page a spot in Nese’s Premier Athlete brand, Page declined and instead challenged Nese to a match.
Josh Woods, another client of Mark Sterling, will also be in action on the next week’s show in a Pure Rules match against Pat Buck.
Next week’s announced card:
- Ethan Page vs. Tony Nese
- Pure Rules match: Josh Woods vs. Pat Buck
