10/24 NXT Halloween Havoc Night 1 Results

10/24 NXT Halloween Havoc Night 1 Results – We go to our hosts Shotzi and Scarlett in the ring.  Scarlett says they don’t want to keep you waiting or you might lose your heads.  Shotzi mentions that we are starting with the Devil’s Playground match.

Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James in a Devil’s Playground Match

Kiana swings and misses with her purse and then she sends Perez into the turnbuckles.  Kiana with shoulders in the corner and she runs into a boot.  Perez with a Thesz Press off the turnbuckles.  Perez with a satellite head scissors but Perez is sent to the apron.  Perez with a shoulder and a back drop to send Kiana to the floor.  Kiana catches Perez on a suicide dive and Perez escapes and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Perez avoids being sent into the ring steps and she hits a sunset flip off the ring steps for a near fall.  Perez with another rollup for a near fall.  Perez hits Kiana with the swing a few times.  Perez tries to suplex James onto a slide but Kiana blocks it and suplexes Perez on the floor.

Kiana goes to her bag and she gets a laptop and hits Perez with it.  They return to the ring but Perez rolls to the other side of the ring.  Perez sends Kiana into the announce table but James sends Perez into the ring steps a few times.  Perez with punches and chops.  Perez sends James into the ring steps and she gets a near fall.  James with an elbow to the midsection and a forearm to the back.  KIana goes under the ring for a trash can lid and she hits Perez with it.  Kiana with a back drop driver onto the apron.  Kiana pulls one of the swings off and takes the chain.  She wraps the chain around Perez’ wrist and whips her into the ringside barrier.  Kiana sends Perez into the ringside barrier again using the chain.  Perez with punches and Kiana with a kick.

Kiana tries to choke Perez with the chain and has it under her nose.  Kiana pulls Perez shoulder first into the ring post a few times.  Perez blocks a third attempt and she pulls Kiana into the ring post.  Kiana hits Perez in the ribs with a trash can.  Perez uses the swing set to kick Kiana and she follows with a corkscrew uppercut.  Perez returns to the ring and hits a suicide dive.  Perez takes a part of the picket fence and hits James with it and then breaks it over her back.  Perez with a side Russian leg sweep onto the slide.  Perez gets a near fall.  Perez misses with the trash can and Kiana punches Perez.  Perez goes to the ringside barrier to try for a head scissors but Kiana blocks it and hits a power bomb onto the trash can for a near fall.

Kiana gets the see saw and hits Perez in the midsection and back with it.  She chokes Perez with it against the ring post.  She misses when Perez moves.  Perez with a back heel kick.  James escapes Pop Rox and sends Perez into the ringside barrier and over the ringside barrier.  KIana with boots to PErez.  Kiana sets for a suplex off the ringside barrier but Perez blocks it.  They exchange forearms.  Perez goes for a side Russian leg sweep off the ringside barrier but James stays on the barrier.  James misses a moonsault and Perez hits James with the bag.  Perez with Pop Rox onto the purse for the three count.

Winner:  Roxanne Perez

After the match, Perez empties the contents of the purse and we see pieces of brick.

– Vic asks Hayes if he attacked Trick Williams last week and Hayes ducks the question.  He says they both wanted the title but to attack his best friend is crazy.  Vic asks about facing Dragunov again and what does he have to do differently as challenger. 

Hayes asks how do you beat one of the best?  That is what he has to ask himself.  It is not a physical or mental thing, it is an emotional thing.  He has to know what is his motivation.  Not just the NXT Title, but the title of HIM.  How can he be HIM without a title?  Did he come here to be second best?  There are no ifs or doubts.  There are no asterisks.

Vic asks what if Trick was in that four way last week.  Would Hayes still be the number one contender? Hayes says absolutely.  When push comes to shove, he has to do what he has to do.  Hayes leaves the interivew but Vic says he has more questions.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with Scarlett and Shotzi at the Ouija Board with MetaFour.  Scarlett says Noam will be on a big journey for fame and prizes.  Noam mentions what he did with Frazer.  She tells him to hold what he cherishes closely. Noam says it is all hocus pocus and nonsense. We see Akira Tozawa take the Heritage Cup when they weren’t looking.

Lexis KIng vs. Dante Chen

King with a wrist lock and he works on the shoulder.  Chen with a reversal.  King backs Chen into the ropes and connects with a forearm on the break.  King with a kick to the ribs.  Chen puts King in the corner but King punches Chen.  King rakes the eyes.  Chen blocks a suplex and Chen lands on his feet on a suplex attempt by King.  Chen with a back elbow and uppercut followed by a drop kick.  King kicks Chen in the head a few times and Chen goes down.  King with a splash into the corner followed by punches and then he chokes Chen in the corner.  Chen with a punch to the midsection and head.

King with a knee to the midsection and a kick to the back.  King with a Northern Lariat.  King with a reverse chin lock.  Chen with punches and a running clothesline.  Chen with a reverse atomic drop and a boot to the head.  King sends Chen to the apron and hits a hanging swinging neck breaker for the three count.

Winner:  Lexis King

– We go to Chase U’s locker room and Andre says they bring home tag team gold tonight.  Jacy says it will be different tonight. Tony and Channing show up and Andre says they will see them later.  Tony says they couldn’t face better opponents. Duke wants to know what that meant.

NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament semifinals: Arianna Grace vs. Kelani Jordan

They lock up and Grace with a knee to the midsection.  Jordan blocks a punch and Grace backs away when Jordan tries for a punch.  Jordan with a drop kick and Grace goes to the floor.  Grace misses an elbow drop when Jordan rolls out of the way.  Jordan with a wrist lock and she works on the shoulder.  Jordan with a leg drop to the arm.  Jordan continues to work on the arm.  Grace pulls Jordan to the mat by the hair.  Jordan with an Irish whip and a drop kick.  Jordan with an Irish whip and Grace blocks a drop kick and she catapults Jordan’s throat into the bottom rope.  Grace chokes Jordan in the ropes and then pulls her away from the ropes.  Grace gets a near fall.  Grace slams Jordan face first into the mat.  Grace with an Irish whip and running hip into the corner.

Grace with a suplex for a near fall.  Grace with an arm bar and chin bar.  Grace with an elbow to the back of the head.  Jordan blocks a suplex a few times and Jordan with a suplex of her own.  Grace with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.  Grace with an arm bar and chin bar.  Grace with knees to the midsection and Jordan rolls through when Grace tries to send Jordan face first into the mat.  Jordan gets a near fall.  Jordan with a cross body for a near fall.  Jordan with a slingshot sunset flip for a near fall.  Grace with a double leg take down and jackknife cover for a near fall.  Jordan with a back slide for a near fall.  Jordan with clotheslines and a back elbow.  Jordan with a flip leg drop for a near fall.  Grace sends Jordan throat first into the ropes.  Grace with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Grace puts Jordan on the turnbuckles and sets for a belly-to-back superplex.

Jordan blocks it and connects with back elbows.  Grace pulls the hair to stay on the turnbuckles but falls to the mat.  Jordan with a split legged moonsault for the three count.

Winner:  Kelani Jordan (advances to Finals)

–We go to Von Wagner’s therapy session and Stone asks how is he doing.  Stone is told that he is improving but it is slow. Von wants to know why Stone is challenging Bron to a match.  Stone says he has no regrets.  He knows he will get his ass kicked, but if he can get one shot in, it will be worth it. Von asks if Stone meant it when he said he was his friend. Von says as much as he would love to be out there next week, he is not ready to be at ringside. Stone says next week is for Von.

We go to commercial.

– Shotzi and Scarlett are back to ask if the people are ready for more Halloween Havoc.  Scarlett mentions their Chamber of Horrors show on Youtube. The Creeds come out with Ivy Nile.  Julius says last week Angel and Humberto cost them a shot at the titles.  Brutus says they want to smash them next week. Shotzi says she saw what happened.  She says this shouldn’t be a normal tag match. Scarlett says they should let the wheel decide. The wheel lands on Tables, Ladders, and Scares.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Tony D’Angelo & Stacks vs. Chase U

Chase and Channing start things off and Channing with a series of arm drags.  Chase with arm drags to Channing and he says this is a teachable moment.  Chase with a side head lock and Duke goes over the top rope and so does Chase.  Channing with a pescado onto Duke and he knocks Chase off the apron.  Tony with a biel to Channing to send him over the top rope onto Andre and Duke.  Tony sends Duke back into the ring and applies a front face lock.  Tony runs Duke’s eyes across the top rope.  Channing with a punch and Tony with a knee lift.  Channing gets a near fall.  Channing with short arm clotheslines but Duke stays on his feet.  Duke with a clothesline of his own.

Duke with a swinging suplex for a near fall.  Chase tags in and he gives Channing a drop toe hold and Duke with an elbow drop.  Chase gets a near fall.  Channing with an Irish whip and Channing catches Chase when he tries to float over and he kicks Chase in the midsection.  Tony tags in and kicks Chase.  Tony with a suplex and he sends Chase into the turnbuckles.  Chase with elbows and punches to get out of the corner but Tony with a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall.  Tony with a waist lock.  Chase with elbows to get out of the hold and he chops Tony.  Tony with a side head lock and Channing tags in.  Tony with a hot shot and Channing kicks Chase as he hits the ropes. 

Channing gets a near fall.  Channing with a front face lock.  Chase tries to get to the corner to make the tag but Channing stops him and he slams Chase.  Channing misses an elbow drop and Chase punches Channing.  Tony tags in and he stops Chase.  Chase with an enzuigiri and Duke tags in.  Duke with punches and forearms to Channing followed by an overhead belly-to-belly throw.  Duke with jabs to Channing and then to Tony.  Duke with a U Elbow to Tony and then he drops Channing onto Tony.  Duke with a side slam to Channing for a near fall.  Duke sets for an Razor’s Edge but Channing escapes.  Duke with chops in the corner followed by an Irish whip.  Channing floats over and Duke with a side slam for a near fall.

Chase tags in and they set for the Fratliner but Channing escapes and Duke runs into a boot.  Tony tags in and punches Duke and Andre.  Tony with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Duke and a spinebuster to Chase.  Channing tags in and they hit a running corkscrew back elbow and German suplex combination and they hit it a second time for a near fall.  Tony tags in and Tony gets Chase on his shoulders.  Duke stops Channing and Channing comes off the apron into an uppercut.  Chase with a side Russian leg sweep and it is time for the C-H-A-S-E-U stomp.  Chase goes up top and Tony stops Chase .  Duke holds on to Chase and Chase with a head butt.

Channing kicks Duke and hits a DDT on the apron.  Channing tags in and they hit a superplex and divinG head butt combination for a near fall when Duke German suplexes Tony onto the cover to break it up.  Tony with a double leg take down to Duke and Channing with a super kick to Chase.  Tony tags in and they go for Bada Bing Bada Boom.  Duke breaks It up and Chase with a sunset flip on Tony foR a NEaR FAll>  ChasE with a swinging neck breaker.  Jacy gives Chase a crowbar but he gives it back.  Tony with a side head lock and he knocks JaCy off the apron.  Chase with a rollup for the three count.

Winners and NEW NXT Tag Team Champions:  Andre Chase and Duke Hudson

– We go to the latest from Nathan Frazer. He says this is the speed round. He says it appears Dom doesn’t like him and Frazer says he doesn’t like Dom.  Frazer says Dom has a face that likes to be slapped. He says Dom is champ only because of THE Judgment Day.  He mentions that Rhea saved Dom.  Frazer says he didn’t have a good match last year at Halloween Havoc but he came back stronger and faster.  He says next week, he is going to face Dom for the North American championship, if Mami lets him have his balls back.  This year’s Halloween Havoc will be his greatest triumph.

– We get picks from people for the Women’s Title Match.

Back to commercial.

– We are back and McKenzie is with Baron Corbin. Corbin says he was a half second away from winning but he doesn’t like triple threat matches.  He did the hard work and someone took the glory.  He says he did everything in his power to win. McKenzie asks Corbin if he attacked Trick. Corbin says if he was going to do it, he would do it to his face.  He says it could have been Dijak or Axiom.  It could have been Wes Lee.  What about Melo?  None of that is his concern.  All he cares about is Ilja and his title.  If he survives next week, he better have his head on a swivel.

Gigi Dolin vs. Blair Davenport in a Lights Out Match

Gigi with a baseball slide to Blair on the floor followed by a cross body off the apron.  Blair with forearms and a knee to the head to send Gigi to the floor.  Blair goes to the floor and she goes under the ring for a chair.  Gigi with a kick and a forearm.  Gigi sets up the chair on tHe floor and sends Blair into it.  Gigi with a punch to the midsection and a kick to the ribs.  Blair sends Gigi into the ring steps a few times.  Blair tries to stomp on the head on the steps but misses.  Gigi with a forearm and a thrust kick.  Blair with a punch and Gigi with a forearm.  Gigi puts Blair in the chair and connects with forearms.  Gigi with Meteora off the apron.  Gigi looks under the ring and she gets a chair.  They return to the ring and Gigi with a forearm and she puts the chair in the turnbuckles.  

Gigi sends Blair into the chairs in the turnbuckles and follows with a slam for a near fall.  Gigi with a rollup for a near fall.  Gigi with a crossface.  Blair hits Gigi with a trash can lid and she suplexes Gigi into the chair in the turnbuckles.  Blair chokes Gigi in the corner.  Blair gets a kendo stick and hits her with it.  Blair gets a near fall.  Blair chokes Gigi with the kendo stick.  Gigi backs Blair into the turnbuckles to escape.  Blair goes to the turnbuckles and Gigi kicks Blair and hits a hanging superplex.  Gigi goes under the ring and she gets the biggest pop of the night for pulling out a table.  GIgi puts the table in the ring.  Gigi kicks Blair and then sets up the table.  Blair sends Gigi into a chair with a drop toe hold and then into the ring post.  Blair removes the table from the ring and then she uses her belt to whip Gigi.  

Gigi rolls to the floor to avoid Blair.  Blair gets a trash can and brings it into the ring.  She also puts a chair in the ring.  Gigi has a strap and she whips Blair with it.  Gigi with an STO for a near fall.  Gigi slams Blair’s head into the chair and then gives Blair some Kawada kicks.  Blair throws a chair at Gigi and connects.  Blair with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Blair goes to the floor and she pulls out a table.  Blair sets up the table on the floor in front of the announce table.  Gigi hits Blair with a trash can and Blair hangs in the ropes.  Gigi with a drop kick and a running drop kick to Blair against the ropes.  Gigi with a Black Hole Slam onto the trash can for a near fall.

Gigi with a forearm and Blair sends Gigi into the ring steps.  Blair adjusts the announce table.  Blair puts Gigi on the announce table but Gigi with a knee and she tries for a half and half through the table but Blair counters into a Broken Arrow through the table.  Blair with the Bea Trigger for the three count.

Winner:  Blair Davenport

– We go to Vic Joseph’s interview with Ilja Dragunov from yesterday.

Vic asks Ilja what is it like to be the champion and not chase the title. Ilja says it was his destiny to be the champion and those weren’t hollow words.  He says his life was rough.  He moved from Russia to Germany and they had nothing.  That is what brought him to NXT.  He says he is proud to be champion.  Ilja says his son held this title belt for the first time and his son had pride for his father.  He wants to be a great champion.

Vic asks Ilja about his match next week and his mindset as champion. Ilja says his attack doesn’t change as champion.  It might intensify.  He knows the pain to get the title.  This will be another classic where he will bend, but he won’t break.  Hayes will break just like he did at No Mercy. Ilja asks Vic what does he have to do different to retain. Ilja says he does not adjust for his opponent, Hayes will have to adjust to face him.  Hayes is not focused like he has been in the past.  The intangibles will be the deciding factor.  

– We see Hayes watching in the back and Scarlett and Shotzi, dressed like the twins from The Shining, say that they know who attacked Trick.

– Sarah asks Tiffany about the semifinals. Tiffany says she doesn’t care who wins the tournament because she cares about who wins the title. A Tiffany wannabe shows up and that annoys Tiffany and she goes after her.

Lola Vice vs. Karmen Petrovic in a Breakout Tournament SemiFinal Match

Karmen with a kick to the leg and a front face lock into a waist lock.  Lola with a punch and Karmen kicks Lola away and follows with a sliding kick to the knee.  Karmen with a spinning round kick for a near fall.  Lola sends Karmen to the apron and Lola kicks Karmen off the apron on a springboard move.  Lola with a waist lock take down.  Lola uses her hip to send Karmen to the mat.  Lola with an axe kick for a near fall.  Karmen with a kick to the head but Lola with a series of kicks for a near fall.  Lola with an arm bar.  Karmen with a back heel kick and a forearm.  Karmen with another back heel kick.  Karmen with a running forearm and a discus clothesline.  Karmen rolls into the corner and kicks Lola.  Karmen with a running thrust kick for a near fall.  Lola goes to the floor and Karmen with a suicide cross body.

After the match, Kelani and Lola do the ‘prematch hype pose’.

– We see Chase and Duke in the back with Jacy and Thea. Duke says they need to start traveling wtih the titles and it will put them over the weight limit. Jacy says she said it would be different this time because they are winners.

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven show up and they are tired of the news. Jacy and Thea have some words for Chelsea and Piper.  Jacy says they don’t go here. Green says she is going to file a formal complaint. Jacy says that they are going to ask for a tag title match because it is about time you defended the tag titles.

– Lyra Valkyria walks in the back and so does Becky Lynch.

We go to commercial.

– We are back and MetaFour yell at security. Lash shows them a photo of Tozawa with the trophy. Noam says Tozawa told him to get it and Dar is sad because of where the trophy is.

– Bron Breakker shows up to talk to Hayes. Hayes says people should be talking about his focus on getting his title back instead of Trick. Bron says they were the talk of the industry a few weeks ago.  They are going to fight for the top spot for decades.  He proved that he will do anything.  Bron says Hayes proved that he will do anything by taking out his friend.  Bron tells Hayes that if he has that intensity next week, he will win.  Bron says he will put Stone in the hospital.

– Next week, Angel and Humberto face The Creeds in a Table, Ladders, and Stairs match.  Nathan Frazer faces Dominik Mysterio in a North American Title Match.  Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail face Piper Niven and Chelsea Green for the Women’s Tag Titles.

NXT Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch vs. Lyra Valkyria

Jade Cargill arrives on the HBalKony in her own throne to watch the main event.

They lock up and Becky goes for a uranage but Lyra escapes.  Lyra misses a back heel kick.  Becky with a side head lock take down.  Becky with a shoulder tackle but Lyra trips Becky on a drop down and gets a near fall.  Becky with a double leg take down and a jackknife cover.  Lyra bridges to kick out.  Lyra goes for a back slide but Becky blocks it for a moment.  Lyra gets a near fall.  Becky with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Lyra with an arm drag and Becky with an arm drag.  Becky with an arm drag and Lyra goes to the floor.  Becky with a baseball slide.  Becky with a forearm to the back and then she sends Lyra into the apron.  Lyra with a head butt to the midsection.

Lyra with a kick to the midsection.  Lyra sends Becky into the apron and then back into the ring.  Becky with a kick and she goes for DisArmHer but Lyra escapes it.  Becky send Lyra into the ropes and gets a near fall.  Becky sends Lyra into the turnbuckles a few times.  Lyra blocks being sent into the turnbuckles and she sends Becky into the turnbuckles followed by kicks to the midsection.  Lyra with a cross body for a near fall and Becky bridges out of the ocver.  Becky with an elbow and a cross body but Lyra bridges as well.  Both go for cross body presses at the same time and both go down.  Becky and Lyra exchange forearms.  Becky with many forearms and a kick.

Becky avoids a shoulder but Lyra blocks a kick.  Lyra with forearms to Becky in the ropes and Lyra goes to the turnbuckles for a guillotine leg drop of her own and hits it for a near fall.  Lyra gets Becky on her shoulders but Becky escapes.  Lyra with a snap mare and she blocks a uranage attempt.  Lyra with an enzuigiri but Becky sends Lyra to the apron.  Lyra with a forearm and a missile drop kick.  Lyra gets a near fall.  Lyra misses a spinning back heel kick.  Becky tries for DisArmHer but Lyra gets a near fall with a rollup.  Becky goes to the turnbuckles and hits Diamond Dust for a near fall.  Bekcy goes for the uranage but Lyra blocks it.  Becky goes for a cross arm breaker but Lyra gets a near fall with a rollup.  Becky returns to the arm bar and Lyra counters into a rollup for a near fall.  Lyra with a Lotus Lock and Becky leans back to get a near fall.

Lyra with a fisherman’s buster for a near fall.  Lyra misses a frog splash and Becky applies DisArmHer.  Lyra gets to the ropes to force a break.  Becky with a running forearm into the corner and kicks.  Lyra blocks a springboard side kick and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall.   Lyra pulls Becky into position and she goes up top.  Becky with a forearm to stop Lyra.  Becky and Lyra exchange punches on the turnbuckles.  Becky with forearms to the back and she sets for a superplex and hits it and rolls through into a DDT.  Becky gets a near fall.  Becky with punches and she goes to the turnbuckles.  Lyra stops Becky and sets for a superplex.  Becky comes under and sets for a power bomb but Lyra with punches and she flips to the mat.  Lyra with a spinning back heel kick for a near fall.  

Lyra gets Becky on her shoulders but Becky escapes a blocks a kick.  Becky with a uranage for a near fall.  Becky tries to pick up Lyra and Lyra with kicks to the head.  Lyra misses a spinning back heel kick.  Lyra rolls through to counter a uranage for the three count.

Winner and NEW NXT Women’s Champion:  Lyra Valkyria

After the match, Becky presents the title belt to Lyra and she hugs the new champion.

We see Jade stand up on the HBalKony as we go to credits.
