Jade Cargill Likely Done with AEW, Heading to WWE – According to a recent report, it appears that Jade Cargill’s time with AEW may be drawing to a close. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has cited sources within AEW, suggesting that Cargill is likely wrapping up her run with the company, with her last appearance possibly occurring during the July 13 tapings.
There’s no official word on if WWE has made an offer but there are “wide rumors” in both companies about her making the jump.
Jade Cargill made her AEW debut in November 2020 and quickly made waves in the wrestling world. Her inaugural in-ring bout alongside Shaquille O’Neal against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on the March 3, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite showcased her immense potential. Cargill then embarked on a dominant singles winning streak and eventually became the first-ever TBS Champion, maintaining her grip on the title for an impressive 508 days.
However, her title reign came to an end when Kris Statlander emerged victorious in an impromptu match at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. Following this setback, Cargill took a hiatus but made a comeback on the September 9 episode of AEW Collision. Her quest for redemption will culminate in a title showdown against Statlander on the September 15 episode of AEW Rampage (spoilers here).
