Alex Kane Wins MLW World Title – In the main event of MLW Never Say Never, Alex Kane challenged Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.
The two powerhouses battled it out in a hard-fought match, and they threw everything they had at each other. Hammerstone nearly won the match with the Nightmare Pendulum, but Kane rolled out of the ring.
In the closing minutes, Mr. Thomas interfered, but his involvement nearly cost Kane, as the challenger accidentally knocked him off the apron, and Hammerstone gained the upper hand. However, Kane persevered, and when he locked in a chokehold, the champion had no choice but to tap out.
After the bell, Kane celebrated with Bomaye Fight Club.
Hammerstone had a lengthy reign as the champion; he won the gold by defeating Jacob Fatu in a Title vs. Title match at MLW Fightland 2021. The loss ended Hammerstone’s reign at 641 days.
Kane earned the title shot by winning the 40-man Battle Riot in April. He is a former MLW National Openweight Champion.
