Update On WWE "Hiring Freeze"

Update On WWE “Hiring Freeze” – Last week, we noted how WWE reportedly shifted away from making any additional signings after Vince McMahon returned and helped negotiate the sale, which eventually became the merger with Endeavor, leading to rumors of a “hiring freeze.”

In an update, the Wrestling Observer reports that there is no hiring freeze going on, and WWE remains in talks with significant performers, although Dave Meltzer didn’t mention who these wrestlers are.

Meltzer wrote, “There is also no hiring freeze as has been reported in many places. WWE is still business as usual when it comes to hiring and in talks with new significant performers.”

WWE had the chance to recently sign a few notable wrestlers, such as Brian Cage and FTR, who opted to stay with AEW. In the case of Jay White, he went with AEW instead beside a strong interest by WWE and that Vince McMahon’s return spoiled their plans to sign The Switchblade.
