WWE RAW Preview - Bobby Lashley Defends Against Randy Orton

WWE RAW Results (9/13) Boston, MA – We are live from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, as Mr. Money In The Bank, Big E, makes his way to the ring to start the show.

Apparently he has something to say to Riddle, Randy Orton and Bobby Lashley, as they are next on their way to the ring.

Big E starts off by saying he is going to cash in his briefcase tonight. Riddle interrupts and says it is good to have Big E back on Raw and then he asks Big E not to cash in on Randy because they are bros.

MVP tells Riddle to shut up because Big E will not be cashing in on Randy because Randy is not winning tonight. Of all the nights, you chose the wrong night to show up. Usually, he is happy to see Big E here because he dances and moves “his behind” like an idiot. They are not in a laughing mood tonight. They were supposed to be wrestling for the tag titles since they won Tag Team Turmoil. However, Randy politicked his way into changing the match from Extreme Rules to tonight for the WWE Championship.

Randy says it has been 14 long years since they fought inside the ring so why wait two more weeks. Look at the specimen you are. There is no way I could throw you off your game other than change the date of the fight. There was no politicking. Randy says he went to who he had to and asked for what he wanted and he got it because he is Randy Orton.

Big E says there are two big meaty men bumping meat tonight.

Porter asks if you are going to forget about the clown prince with the briefcase. Of the clowns you hang out with, I thought you would be the first to win the WWE Championship. I thought you would be a singles champion when you went to Smackdown. You won the briefcase, but you ran from Smackdown to Raw because you are scared of cashing in on Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar. Do you think Bobby is a push over? After seeing what Bobby does, you will fear Lashley.

Randy says he has proven over the last few weeks, it only takes one RKO to bring Bobby Lashley to his knees. That is what is going to happen tonight when I become the new WWE Champion.

Big E says he can cash in on Randy and become the new WWE Champion.

Bobby says that Randy made the biggest mistake to challenge him tonight. Bobby says he will pummel Randy all over this ring. If Big E comes close to him with the contract, he will shove it so far up his ass, he will smell the fine print.

Big E puts the briefcase in Bobby’s face and Bobby pushes it away. BOOM! Orton with an RKO! Orton runs around the ring as fans go wild. Orton taunts Lashley and exits the ring as his music hits. Big E watches from the corner, focused, as MVP tends to Lashley. Orton looks on from the ramp.

— Charlotte Flair is in gorilla position, awaiting someone to ambush her with a microphone before her match.

— We are back with a look at last week’s Raw Women’s Title Mtach.

Backstage:

Sarah shows up and ambushes Charlotte Flair to ask about Shayna Baszler. Charlotte says that Shayna wants to get to the top. Shayna will never reach her level if she is being held down by dead weight. Charlotte says she is the very best. After it is said and done, this title will be hers and she shall be champion forever.

Charlotte Flair vs. Shayna Baszler

During Baszler’s entrance we see an earlier tonight video. Shayna in the back and Nia Jax shows up and wants an explanation. Shayna says she did what Nia has done to her. She knows that Nia cannot beat Charlotte. Nia says they need to get on the same page, and Shayna walks away.

They lock up and Shayna with an Irish whip and Charlotte with a Flair flip but Shayna with a knee to Charlotte. Shayan misses a baseball slide and Charlotte with a pescado as we go to commercial.

Before we come back, the Draft is coming and it will happen on October 1st and 4th.

We are back and Charlotte walks across Shayna’s chest before going to the turnbuckles for a moonsault but Shayna stops Charlotte and kicks Charlotte for a near fall. Shayna misses a knee in the corner and Charlotte with a rollup for a near fall. Shayna with a Kirifuda Clutch but Charlotte with elbows and a belly-to-back suplex.to get out of the hold. Charlotte misses a boot and Shayna with a German suplex and kick for a near fall. Shayna with kicks to Charlotte and punches. Charlotte with a clothesline. Charlotte with chops. Charlotte misses a boot but hits a spinning back elbow for a near fall. Charlotte goes for a fallaway slam but Shayna lands on her feet and kicks Charlotte.

Charlotte witha back breaker and then she throws Shayna into the turnbuckles. Shayna is sent to the floor and Charlotte goes up top and hits a moonsault.

Nia Jax makes her way to the ring and Shayna uses the distraction to send Charlotte into the ring steps.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Charlotte with a clothesline. Charlotte with forearms and chops. Shayna avoids a short arm clothesline and Shayna with a German suplex. Shayna pulls down the knee pad and she goes for a slam but Charlotte clips Shayna. Charlotte with a knee bar in the ropes and then she taunts Nia. Charlotte puts the leg on the ropes and Charlotte misses a knee. Shayna with a jumping knee and NIa gets on the apron and Charlotte with a running boot for the three count.

Winner: Charlotte Flair

After the match, Alexa Bliss makes her way to the ring with Lilly and a present. Alexa says hello to Charlotte and she says they brought a gift for Charlotte to thank her for accepting the title match at Extreme Rules.

Charlotte says that Lexi doesn’t know her tastes. She does not collect dolls… she collects CHAMPIONSHIPS. Sometimes, girls need to leave their dolls at home.

Alexa tells Charlotte to let her hair down and have some fun. She says that Lilly says everyone likes a gift. Charlotte says no and Alexa does not take no for an answer. Charlotte finally takes the gift and she shakes it and Charlotte says it is not ticking. Charlotte opens the gift and it is a Championship Lilly.

Alexa says the doll’s name is Charlie. Alexa says they wanted Charlotte to have something to play with when she takes the title from Charlotte at Extreme Rules. She says everyone deserves a friend, even a narcissistic bitch like Charlotte.

Charlotte says she is a narcissist and it has matching accessories. You are crazy to think I am going to lose the title. You are crazier to think I want this doll. Charlotte tells Alexa that she will have Mattel send her a Charlotte Flair Action Figure.

Charlotte throws Charlie at Alexa and Alexa attacks Charlotte. Charlotte misses a boot and Alexa knocks her off the apron. Charlotte gets back into the ring and Alexa with Code Red.

— We have a video package for Randy Orton.

— Drew McIntyre makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Drew McIntyre and The Viking Raiders vs. Veer, Shanky, and Jinder Mahal

The Viking Raiders’ music plays and they walk briskly to the ring and then Veer, Shanky, and Jinder stop the assault.

Veer and Erik start things off. Erik with forearms. Veer with an Irish whip and Erik floats over but Veer with a Thesz Press. Mahal tags in and hits a short arm clothesline. Mahal with a slam and Veer tags back in and he misses a forearm. Veer misses an elbow drop. Drew and Mahal tag in and Drew with clotheslines and he knocks Shanky off the apron. Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Veer on the floor. Drew with an Irish whip and he is sent to the apron. Drew with an elbow and he leaps over Mahal. Drew with a spinebuster but Shanky tags in and Drew with a Michinoku Driver to Shanky.

Drew with a Claymore for the three count.

Winners: Drew McIntyre and The Viking Raiders

Backstage:

Big E is in the back with his briefcase and he is with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Woods tells Big E he deserves it. Big E points out that they are doing it in Kofi’s home town. Big E asks Kofi for advice. Kofi says Big E has everything it takes to be the face of WWE and be a great champion. Kofi says that Big E knows what to do. Woods tells Big E he is a bit tense so he needs to lighten up a little.

— Damian Priest makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

— We see Reggie in the back and R Truth kicks him but Reggie runs away. Truth grabs his jacket and Reggie runs away. The rest of the 24/7 Red Shirts are unsuccessful. Drake Maverick stands there and Truth says the plan didn’t work. Drake says the plan wasn’t the problem, the problem was the problem. Truth and Tozawa argue as they prepare for the WWE Films rebooting of Rush Hour.

— Damian Priest says he is scheduled to defend his title against Sheamus at Extreme Rules. Tonight, he gets to defend his title against a man he respects in Jeff Hardy.

Damian Priest vs. Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship

Before the match starts, Sheamus makes his way to the ring.

Priest with a punch to Hardy but he misses an arm drag. Hardy misses a kick and so does Priest. They go back and forth and then decide to stop before they make contact. Priest with a back elbow. Hardy with a drop kick to the knee followed by a reverse atomic drop and double leg take down. Hardy with a leg drop and splash followed by an elbow drop. hardy sends Priest to the floor. Priest misses a leg sweep from the floor and Hardy with a clothesline off the apron. Priest with a boot to knock Hardy off the apron. Priest with a springboard senton onto Hardy and then Priest and Sheamus have some words as we go to commercial.

We are back and Hardy with elbows from the turnbuckles but Priest boxes the ears. Priest sets for a belly-to-back superplex but Hardy is able to counter into a lateral press for a near fall. Hardy and Priest exchange forearms. Hardy with a rollup for a near fall. Priest kicks Hardy away and connects with punches but Hardy with a flying clothesline for a near fall. Hardy with a shoulder in the corner but Priest with an Irish whip and Priest runs into a boot. hardy with a splash from the turnbuckles for a near fall.

Priest with forearms and punches. Hardy with a kick and Priest responds with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Priest goes up top and Hardy stops him. They fight on the turnbuckles and Hardy sets for a superplex but Priest kicks Hardy from the apron. Priest with a springboard leg lariat for a near fall. Hardy with a rollup for a near fall. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate but Priest counters with Reckoning for the three count.

Winner: Damian Priest

After the match, Sheamus attacks Priest in the ring and then Sheamus with a Brogue Kick to Hardy. Sheamus sets for a Brogue Kick on Priest but Priest hits a Brogue Kick of his own.

Backstage:

Nikki A.S.H. is in the back with Rhea Ripley and she thinks they need to come up with a celebration. Rhea says she has to focus on Natalya tonight and winning the titles. Natalya and Tamina show up. Natalya says that you freaks will never win the title. Rhea tells Natalya to get used to being the former tag team champions. Natalya says her and Tamina dominate eras. Nikki says she will show them what she can do.

All four women fight in the back and Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville break it up. Sonya says Nikki and Tamina will have a match before Rhea and Natalya’s match. Back to commercial.

Backstage:

Randy Orton is in the locker room and Riddle is trying to figure out the title belt logistics. Randy puts on his headphones. Big E shows up in Randy’s locker room. Big E wishes Randy the best of luck tonight because he will be watching very very very very closely.

Nikki A.S.H. vs. Tamina

Tamina knocks Nikki down and then tosses her across the ring. Tamina kicks Nikki and tosses her across the ring again. Tamina with forearms and an Irish whip but Nikki floats over and hits a drop kick to the knee. Nikki with forearms but Tamina with a clothesline. Tamina with a punch and snap mare for a near fall. Tamina with a reverse chin lock.

Nikki with kicks but Tamina with punches. Tamina with an elbow drop. Tamina with a slam but she misses an elbow drop. Nikki with elbows and kicks to the leg. Tamina sends Nikki into the corner but Nikki kicks Tamina. Nikki with a splash into the corner and a head scissors take down. Nikki goes to the turnbuckles for the punches of ten but Tamina stops her at nine so Nikki finishes the job. Tamina with a palm thrust to the throat. Tamina with an Irish whip and Nikki with a boot.

Nikki goes to the turnbuckles and hits a tornado DDT for a count of two but the ref see a three (and Mike Rome announces Tamina as winner).

Winner: Nikki A.S.H.

After the match, Tamina attacks Nikki and they go to the floor. Natalya hits Rhea from behind and then Tamina sends Nikki into the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

Natalya vs. Rhea Ripley

We are back and the match is joined in progress. Natalya with punches and kicks followed by a forearm. Rhea escapes a slam attempt and gets a near fall with a rollup. Natalya goes for a cross arm breaker but Rhea blocks it and gets a near fall with a rollup. Rhea with a side head lock and take down. Natalya with a head scissors. Natalya with a side head lock take down and Rhea with a head scissors and Natalya escapes. Rhea with a float over on an Irish whip and Natalya calls Rhea a bitch. Natalya blocks a hip toss and Natalya with a rollup for a near fall. Rhea with a crucifix for a near fall.

Rhea catches Natalya and sets for a power bomb but Natalya counters with a head scissors take down. Natalya with knees in the corner and she sends Rhea to the mat. Natalya poses but Rhea with punches. Rhea with a forearm and Natalya punches back. Natalya goes for a side Russian leg sweep but Rhea blocks it. Rhea with a shot to the throat and a boot that sends Natalya to the floor. Rhea goes for a drop kick but Natalya moves and Rhea hits Tamina and the ring steps. Natalya with a discus clotheslline followed by an elbow drop on the floor.

They return to the ring and Natalya goes for the sharpshooter but Rhea kicks Natalya away. Natalya sends Rhea to the floor. Natalya with a suplex on the floor.

Natalya poses and we go to commercial.

We are back and Natalya with an abdominal stretch. Rhea with an arm drag take down followed by short arm clotheslines. Rhea with a ripcord head butt and Rhea is staggered as well. Rhea with a snap mare and drop kick to the head. Natalya pusehs Rhea away but Rhea with a kick. Rhea misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the turnbuckle. Natalya with a slingshot atomic drop and then she hits a drop kick for a near fall. Natalya with a waist lock and Rhea with a standing switch. Natalya with elbows but Rhea with a boot to block a discus clothesline. Rhea with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Rhea with a reverse cloverleaf and Rhea gets a near fall. Natalya with a German suplex.

Rhea avoids the sharpshooter and gets a near fall with a rollup. Rhea sets for Riptide but Tamina gets on teh apron. Nikki trips Natalya and then Rhea drop kicks Tamina through the ropes. Natalya with a rollup and her feet on the ropes for a near fall when Nikki pushes Natalya’s feet off the ropes. Rhea with a head butt and reverse cloverleaf and Natalya taps out.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

After the match, Ripley stands tall as Nikki joins her. We go to replays. Natalya and Tamina raise the titles in the air as Nikki and Ripley look on from the ring.

– We get a replay from tonight’s opening segment. Still to come, Randy Orton challenges for the WWE Title.

— We go back to the ring and out first comes Mansoor and Mustafa Ali. Their partners are out next – The New Day’s Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Back to commercial.

— Charlotte Flair walks in the back and Sarah ambushes Charlotte but Charlotte pushes Sarah away. She says she will destroy Alexa and Lilly at Extreme Rules. Charlotte takes Charlie and throws it away.

Mansoor, Mustafa Ali, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods vs. AJ Styles, Omos, MACE and T-BAR

T-Bar says the weak will be preyed upon by the strong. Mansoor and Mustafa Ali will be teaming with the New Day to try to rise up against us but they will fall to the slaughter.

AJ and Mansoor start things off and they lock up and AJ with an arm bar. Mansoor uses the ropes for an arm drag. Mansoor with another arm drag and Mansoor with a drop kick. Mansoor with shoulders in the corner and Kofi tags in and he kicks AJ. Woods tags in and it is time for the unicorn stomp. Mansoor joins in the fun and then Kofi tags in. Ali wants to get involved but he is not allowed to play in the unicorn games. Ali tags in and AJ counters with a suplex of his own. T-Bar tags in and he runs into a boot. T-Bar misses a clothesline but he does not miss with the boot.

Mace tags in and they knock Kofi and Woods off the apron. T-Bar takes care of Ali while Mace pulls Mansoor off the apron. Mace sends Ali back into the ring and he gets a near fall. Ali with punches and Mace with a belly-to-back suplex. Mace sends Ali over the top rope to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and T-Bar with a rear chin lock on Mansoor. T-Bar with a double sledge to the back. Mansoor with an enzuigiri and STyles tags in and he stops Mansoor from making the tag. Mansoor misses an enzuigiri but hits a second one. Woods tags in and he hits a side Russian leg sweep while Kofi hits a missile drop kick for a near fall. AJ with an Irish whip and Kofi with a pendulum kick. Kofi with Shadows Over Hell and then Woods kicks T-Bar from the apron. Woods with a tornado DDT to T-Bar. Kofi sends Mace ot the floor. Mansoor with a suicide dive to Mace. Styles catches Kofi on Trouble in Paradise and AJ with an ushigoroshi but Ali makes the save. Mace takes care of Ali and Mansoor with a reverse DDT on Mace. T-Bar tosses Mansoor over the top rope. Woods with a super kick to T-Bar. AJ with a Pele Kick to Woods. Kofi with a rollup for a near fall. Ali tags in and connects with an elbow.

Ali with a tornado DDT and Omos tags in. Ali begs for mercy and then Omos sends Ali into the turnbuckles and follows with a clothesline. Omos grabs Ali by the throat and Ali with a sleeper. Woods and Kofi grab Omos by the leg and Omos takes care of all of them. Omos with a vertical choke slam on Ali for the three count.

Winners: Omos, AJ Styles, Mace, and T-Bar

— We take a look at Bobby Lashley.

Backstage:

Kevin Patrick ambushes Bobby Lashley and asks about Big E being a distraction. Porter says Big E is not a distraction but an annoyance. Porter says Bobby will inflict as much pain as is possible on Randy Orton. Randy will join the list of people who tried to take the title from Bobby and have failed. If Big E wants to cash in the briefcase and add his name to the list, it is his choice. Only one man is leaving the ring as champion.

Big E starts to boo what was just said. Big E says he is playing, but he is not playing when it comes to cashing in his briefcase.

— Recently married Doudrop makes her way to the ring and we see recent history with Eva Marie. She dances in the ring as we go to commercial.

Doudrop vs. Eva Marie

Eva avoids Doudrop when the bell rings and Eva with punches and a side head lock. Doudrop with a shoulder tackle and she misses the back senton when Eva moves. Eva gets a near fall. Doudrop blocks an Irish whip and Doudrop with an Irish whip. Doudrop misses a splash into the corner and Eva sends Doudrop into the turnbuckles many times. Doudrop with an elbow and back elbow. Doudrop with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Doudrop gets Eva up but Eva with a rake of the eyes and she tries for a rollup and Doudrop feels something behind her. Doudrop with a back senton and a splash for the three count.

Winner: Doudrop

Backstage:

Karrion Kross is in the back and he says he is not telling you anything you don’t already know. Deep down, most of you don’t know who you really are. However, you have an idea of who you want to be. No one finds their true nature unless they are suffering, or inflicting the suffering. The suffering I have inflicted is insatiable. The list grows. Do I enjoy every second of my opponent’s agony? What if I don’t know what my ultimate plan is. There is one certainty. I will hurt everyone until I get everything I want. I am not here to get lost in the shuffle. Step by step, I will pulverize everyone around me like clockwork until they learn to fall and pray.

— Randy Orton (and Riddle) makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

— We are back and next week, Nia Jax will face Shayna Baszler.

Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship

Orton goes to the floor and Lashley follows and Orton goes back to the floor to get into Lashley’s head. Orton gets back in the ring and then Lashley focuses on Riddle and Orton hits Lashley from behind and sends Lashley into the ring steps, the ring post, and the ring side barrier. Orton sends Lashley into the announce table and they return to the ring and Orton gets a near fall. Lashley with shoulders in the corner. Lashley misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the ring post shoulder first. Orton sets for an IEDDT but Lashley gets back into the ring and he sends Orton over the top rope to the floor with a back body drop. Orton avoids a clothesline and hits a back drop driver onto the ringside barrier. Orton clotheslines Lashley over the ringside barrier.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Orton punches Lashley on the turnbuckles. Orton with a superplex but he cannot capitalize immediately and he can only get a near fall. They go to the floor and Lashley gets Orton up and runs him into the ring post. Lashley knocks Orton off the apron onto the ringside barrier.

Lashley with a shoulder into the corner. Lashley with a neck breaker for a near fall. Orton with elbows and Lashley goes for a flatlliner but Orton with more elbows. Lashley is unable to hit a spinebuster and Orton with two clotheslines and a clothesline into the corner. Orton with punches on the turnbuckles. Orton with a power slam for a near fall.

Orton with the IEDDT on Lashley. Orton turns around for the RKO set up. Lashley avoids the RKO and Lashley with a spear for a near fall. Lashley goes for the Hurt Lock but Orton blocks it. Orton continues to block the Hurt Lock and Orton with an elbow and RKO but Lashley rolls to the ropes and Porter pulls Lashley to the apron. Riddle and Porter have some words. Orton takes Porter’s cane and he hits Porter with an RKO. Orton gets back into the ring but Lashley is there with a spear for the three count.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

After the match, Lashley stands tall as the music hits. Riddle checks on Orton but Lashley grabs him and tosses him to the floor. Lashley follows, scoops Riddle and runs him into the ring post. Riddle is laid out at ringside now. Lashley grabs Orton and slams him through the announce table with a big Spinebuster. Orton is laid out in the debris. Lashley may have hurt his knee putting Orton through the table. He limps around and into the ring after a referee checks on him. Lashley enters the ring as Big E runs down with his Money In the Bank briefcase to a huge pop. The referee takes the briefcase and makes the announcement to Rome.

Big E vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship

The referee backs Big E off as he tries to restore order before the bell. WWE Champion Bobby Lashley sits down in the corner and is pleading, pointing to his hurt knee. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Big E is yelling at Lashley to fight. Apparently Lashley refuses to defend due to his knee. Big E slaps Lashley and here we go. Lashley goes to work on Big E, unloading and taking it to the corner.

Fans chant loudly for Big E. Big E comes back and takes out Lashley’s knee. Lashley blocks the Big Ending and delivers a Spear for a close 2 count. Fans continue chanting for Big E. They trade counters again and Big E hits the Big Ending in the middle of the ring for the pin to win the title.

Winner and New WWE Champion: Big E

After the match, the crowd goes wild as Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods join Big E in the ring. He raises the WWE Title in the air as pyro explodes around the arena. We see Lashley limping up the ramp. Big E hits the turnbuckles to pose, raising the title in the air as fans go wild. RAW goes off the air with Big E celebrating with the title.
