8/25 WWE RAW Live Results – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude’s live coverage of WWE RAW for August 25, from Birmingham, England.
Raw opens with a video, recapping the main event of last week’s show.
Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring to start the show.
Roman appreciates the crowd’s chants and then he wants Birmingham to acknowledge him.
Roman says it feels like old times. You still sound the same, loud as hell. Roman says he has big plans for tonight, the rest of this year, and for next year. He says if he is being real, he says he has to be honest to himself. Roman says you acknowledged him, but there is something he has to acknowledge before he moves on. You sound and feel like old times, but it isn’t old times any more. He says he isn’t the same man he used to be. Roman says maybe he can be, but Cody predicted it a year and a half ago, and the crowd boos and he says the response is interesting. He says Seth and his group followed through on the things Cody said. They took everything from him.
Roman responds to the nasty words in the crowd’s chants and he says he has been feeling like that for a long time. He does not have a lot of things he used to have. He does not have a Bloodline. Roman says he is proud of Jey. Anyone questioning him about being in the match in Paris, you are wrong. Jey won their match and earned the pinfall. He has the rematch clause so he should be fighting for the title. Roman says his time will come.
They took the wise man, they took the titles, and the disrespect continued and they had to find something of his to take. Roman addresses Bronson Reed.
Paul Heyman interrupts and he comes out with his Foot Locker employee of the month, Bronson Reed. Paul introduces Bronson. Paul says Bronson said it was five years ago this week that Brock Lesnar’s advocate became Roman’s wise man. Five years ago, this duo created a Bloodline and owned everything there was to own in the WWE. They changed this industry together. Now, look at you. Standing all alone in the ring by yourself. Paul tells Roman he misses him. He says he loved him five years ago and he loves him now. Paul says that is why he came out to disrespect him.
Paul says he didn’t do this out of malice, but out of the love he spoke about before he was so rudely interrupted by these people not touch enough to live in Manchester or rich enough to live in London. What you need is the tough love he offered to you. Roman needs the tough love that he can give Roman. Paul says he will not be the one to deliver that tough love in Paris . . . but he is.
Roman tells dumb ass he will kiss his ass because he will whoop his ass.
Bronson tells Roman at Clash in Paris, it isn’t about receipts, it is about disrespect. He says he is the one who will kick Roman’s ass. He says he knows Roman is educated, but it is time for a history lesson. Your tribe from Samoa is civilized. Reed says his tribe was not civilized and they were sent to Australia. You paid for your tattoos and Reed says he earned his. Reed says he is the Samoan that your dad and uncle warned you about and in Paris, you will learn why.
Roman asks if Reed is Samoan. He says that means your ass belongs to him. Roman says maybe they start this over and he gives Reed another chance since they are the same family. He tells Reed to come to the ring, give him back his shoes, apologize to these people for wasting their time, acknowledge him, and don’t disrespect him any more.
Reed puts his shoes around Paul’s neck and he tells Roman he does not want him to come to the ring because he will make Roman acknowledge his Tribal thief.
Roman says Reed won’t have to come up here because he is going down there.
Roman and Reed meet in the aisle and they exchange punches. Reed sends Roman into the ring post and they go into the ring. They throw punches and security makes their way to the ring to do their best to separate them. Reed gets away and hits a splash on Roman and his pile of security. Reed goes for the shoes but Roman kicks Reed away. Reed with a back senton and then he goes to the turnbuckles but he punches a member of security and officials come to the ring to hold their hands out like Reed is from Jurassic World. Roman with a Superman punch to Reed on the turnbuckles. Roman escapes to the floor and he hits a splash off the ring steps onto Reed and security. They throw punches up the aisle as they go to the back.
– Finn Balor and JD McDonagh walk in the back and we see Dom Mysterio talking to El Grande Americano. Dom says everything is under control and he will catch up with them later.
Dragon Lee vs. JD McDonagh
They lock up and JD misses a chop and Lee chops back. They exchange chops and slaps. Lee with a kick and a dragon screw. Lee with a kick and a leg sweep. Lee with a slingshot drop kick. Lee charges into the corner and JD with a drop kick to the knee. Finn gets on the apron and the referee sees him and she sends him to the back. Finn apologizes and Lee with a flip dive onto JD. Lee sends JD back into the ring and he goes up top and Lee comes off and is met with a drop kick. JD with forearms and he chokes Lee in the corner. JD gets a near fall. JD with a hard Irish whip. JD with a belly-to-back suplex. JD with a chop in the corner.
JD gets a near fall. JD with forearms and a suplex. JD goes to the turnbuckles and Lee crotches him and kicks JD. JD with head butts and he hits a superplex but he over rotates and lands on his head. They exchange punches and Lee with a German suplex and super kick. Lee with a poisonrana to JD and Lee is caught in a Spanish Fly for a near fall. Lee with punches and a kick. Lee floats over but JD stops him and JD goes for a power bomb and Lee counters into a sit out power bomb of his own. Lee goes up top and JD tries to stop him but Lee stops JD and Lee hits a double stomp for a near fall when JD gets his foot on the ropes.
Dom comes to ringside to help JD and AJ stops Dom and sends him into the ring post and over the ringside barrier into the crowd. Lee with a running forearm and Operation Dragon for the three count.
Winner: Dragon Lee
Backstage:
Jackie is with LA KNight and she asks him about his match with Bron tonight and what CM Punk did to him last week. Knight tells Jackie to think about what happened last week and he wonders if it was an ‘accident’ or was it on purpose? Punk could have slowed down but give him the benefit of the doubt. Punk didn’t try to help him. Knight says they should work together, but not now. You are a hungry man and it is feast or famine on Sunday. Knight says everyone else is going to bed hungry. Paul sees that Knight is the only one in the match who needs to wrestle tonight.
We Hear from Rusev:
Rusev tells Sheamus he has been trained and conditioned to crush. He is a super athlete. Malice is found. Trained by monsters and then they are let go. When he came back, he will not listen to people to tell him who to hurt. He will hurt who he wants and he chooses Sheamus. He will face Sheamus in a match full of cowards. Rusev says it is impossible to be good when you are destined to be great.
Backstage:
Raquel and Roxanne are talking and Finn yells at Dom for not having JD’s back. Dom says Finn got sent to the back. Raquel says Liv wouldn’t like this. Dom says since he knows AJ the best, why not take care of him tonight. Finn says he will take care of it and he will do it himself.
Penta vs. Kofi Kingston
They lock up and Kofi backs Penta into the corner and misses a punch. Penta with chops. Kofi with an Irish whip and Penta floats over. Penta with a head scissors and clotheslines. Kofi’s knee gives out and he avoids a power bomb and goes to the apron. Kofi punches Penta from the apron and he sends Penta into the turnbuckles. Kofi with Shadows Over Hell for a near fall. Kofi punches Penta. Kofi goes for a hesitation splash but Penta gets his feet up and stops Kofi. Penta clotheslines Kofi over the top rope and Kofi leaves the ringside area to avoid a dive by Penta. Waller takes Penta’s attention but Penta kicks Kofi when he returns to the ring. Penta with a chop against the ropes. Penta does the slow strut. Kofi trips Penta against the ropes and sends him into the apron and then into the front row.
Kofi chops Penta and gives him a head butt. Kofi with another chop. Kofi with a European uppercut and he breaks the count. Penta with a super kick and he charges at Kofi but Kofi with a back body drop onto the announce table. Penta struggles to get back to his feet as the referee makes his count but Penta beats the count at nine. Kofi kicks Penta and stomps on the chest. Kofi with a reverse chin lock. Kofi pulls at the mask and returns to the chin lock. Penta with punches and Kofi with a knee Penta with a kick and a thrust kick to the back of the knee followed by a wraparound bulldog. Penta with a leg sweep and a hesitation headstand kick in the corner for a near fall.
Kofi escapes the Penta Driver and Kofi with a forearm. Kofi with a knee to Penta. Kofi sets for the Boom Drop and hits it. Kofi sets for Trouble in Paradise. Penta with a super kick and a lungblower when he floats over in the corner for a near fall. Penta sets for the Destroyer and Kofi counters with a back body drop. Kofi with a Fameasser for a near fall. Penta puts Kofi on the turnbuckles and he chops him. Penta is knocked to the apron and he goes for a head scissors into the ring but Kofi blocks it. Penta with a suplex and a Penta Driver for a near fall. Penta super kicks Waller when Waller pushes Kofi out of the way. Penta with a flip dive onto Kofi and Woods.
They return to the ring and Penta goes to the turnbuckles. Waller distracts Penta and Kofi pulls Penta off the turnbuckles and hits Trouble in Paradise for the three count.
Winner: Kofi Kingston
Backstage:
Rhea is in the back and Iyo stops by to talk. Iyo thanks Rhea for having her back last week. She says she respects Rhea but Asuka and Kairi are her family and they don’t like her getting in their business. She says they need to keep their distance for a while. Rhea says she respects Iyo and if that is what she wants, she will do it. Iyo thanks Rhea for understanding. They hug but Asuka and Kairi are in the background and Asuka freaks out. Iyo wishes Rhea luck tonight.
Backstage:
Byron Saxton is with Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. He asks Roxanne about her confidence tonight against Rhea. Roxanne says her confidence is never higher. She says she beat Iyo and Rhea has never done that. After tonight, they will get the tag titles back. Byron asks about the issues with the group. Raquel wants to know what he is fishing for. She says Liv is alright and they are alright. Raquel says they have a match to dominate.
Backstage:
Stephanie Vaquer is with Adam Pearce. He tells her that she is the number one contender but with the title being vacant, Paris cannot happen. He needs a week to finalize the details and he will tell her when the match happens. Stephanie says she wishes she would be wrestling in Paris but she is ready.
In the Arena:
Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring.
Becky says it is a bit of a mixed response and she says you can boo her, but this place was a big part of her journey. Thirteen years ago, she had her tryout in Birmingham. She says it was a dump then and it is a dump now. Speaking of dumps, Nikki Bella thinks she can call her out to her ring. She is not some loser like Aston Villa or Birmingham City.
Nikki’s music interrupts the rambling.
Nikki says if you aren’t a dog, why are you acting like a little bitch.
Becky wants to know what is Nikki saying to her.
Nikki says Becky should be defending her title against her.
Becky says she calls the shots and she is not giving out title matches to Broke Neck Barbie.
Nikki says she kicked Becky’s ass and she is the reason why Becky is able to make history.
Nikki says you and the better twin blazed the trail and brought in a new audience. Becky says she doesn’t care. She didn’t want to respect Nikki, she wanted to replace her and she did a good job.
Nikki says Becky wants to replace her because she didn’t want to face her. She says Becky was in the corner as Charlotte’s side kick.
Becky says she is no one’s side kick or shadow.
Nikki says she cares about the people and they made you relevant. She says Becky reeks of desperation
Becky says this is typical British behavior trying to hold down the Irish.
Nikki asks if Becky has lost her balls. She says Becky has no class. You might be a champion but you are another ‘c’ word . . . a coward.
Becky says that is worse than the other C word. She says she is not a coward. She can have her match in Paris at Clash because she is not wrestling in Birmingham. The only good thing to come out of Birmingham died a month ago. Ozzy Osbourne made the right decision to move to LA because if she lived in Birmingham, she would have died too.
Nikki says Becky’s name will never be as big as Bella. Nikki takes the title and says she will be the new champion.
Nikki blocks a kick and she sends Becky to the mat. Becky kicks Niki away and Nikki escapes a uranage. Becky escapes a TKO and goes to the floor.
Backstage:
Jackie is with CM Punk and she brings up her conversation with LA Knight. Punk says he is not trying to be anyone’s friend. It is every man for himself, but leading into the match, he wanted everyone on the same page so they all go there but Jey and Knight didn’t want to do that. Punk says he didn’t intentionally send Knight through a table. Punk says he is not hungry, he is obssessed. He had the title ripped out of his hands by Seth Rollins. He will be the champion on Sunday. If he has to beat and cripple all of you, he will do it.
We Hear from Sheamus
Sheamus welcomes Rusev back to WWE. He says he cringed when he heard about it. He says you lost your love for the game. He cringed at what Rusev has said. Things changed over the last few weeks. Their matches and battles have reopened a fire and the world knows who the real Rusev is. They could steal the show on Sunday. You won back his respect, but remember he had to drag it out of him. He wants Rusev to bring his A Game and bring back the old Rusev because he made Rusev relevant again.
Rhea Ripley vs. Roxanne Perez
Perez rolls away from Rhea and she slaps Rhea in the face. Perez with a sleeper and she gets on Rhea’s back. Rhea backs Perez into the corner but Perez with a boot and forearm. Perez sends Rhea face first into the turnbuckles and she punches Rhea. Rhea pushes Perez away and she hits a drop kick. Rhea with forearms. Perez gets to the floor when the referee pulls Rhea out of the corner. Perez sends Rhea into the apron but Rhea does the same. Rhea picks up Perez and drops her face first on the mat. Perez escapes RipTide and gets to the floor. Rhea goes to the floor but perez gets back into the ring. Perez is caught by Rhea on a cross body and Perez escapes. Raquel tries to run interference but Rhea with a head butt. Rhea has some words for Raquel and Perez with a suicide dive.
Perez slams the leg into the apron. Perez clips the leg and hits a kneeDT. Perez tries to wring the leg into the post but Rhea sends Perez into the post. Perez escapes a power bomb on the apron. Rhea misses a kick and she gets caught in the turnbuckles. Perez with a knee drop to the leg followed by a sliding forearm. Perez with a double jump moonsault for a near fall. Rhea with a forearm and she gets Perez up for a Gory Special but Perez counters with a sunset flip for a near fall. Perez puts more pressure on the leg and stomps on it on the ropes. Perez gets a near fall. Perez puts the leg in the ropes and adds more damage to the knee. Perez with an uppercut into the corner and a second one.
Perez with a snap mare and she gets a near fall. Perez with a step over toe hold. Rhea kicks Perez to get out of the hold. Perez with a tornado DDT. Perez goes for the double jump moonsault but Rhea gets her knees up to stop Perez. Rhea with a series of short arm clotheslines and a back heel kick. Rhea sets for a Razor’s Edge but Raquel grabs Perez to get her free. Rhea grabs Raquel by the ahir and Perez stops Rhea. Perez with a Frankensteiner and Scorpio Rising for a near fall. Perez slaps Rhea a few times. Rhea grabs Perez but Perez slaps Rhea and kicks the leg. Rhea with a head butt and a Razor’s Edge. Rhea with a drop kick and she gets a near fall. Perez kicks Rhea away and Rhea goes for a drop kick but Perez moves and Rhea hits Raquel. Perez with a drop kick to the knee when Rhea gets back into the ring.
Perez misses Pop Rox. Rhea blocks a side Russian leg sweep and Rhea with a head butt and RipTide for the three count.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
After the match, Raquel attacks Rhea from behind and then kicks Rhea Rhea with a round kick to Raquel and a head butt. Perez stops Rhea from hitting RipTide on Raquel. Raquel with a clothesline and then Perez with punches.
Iyo Sky’s music plays and she makes her way tot her ing and Iyo with shotei to Raquel and a flapjack to Perez. Iyo with a round kick to Perez. Iyo is sent to the apron and Rhea head butts Raquel and Iyo hits a springboard drop kick.
Iyo asks Rhea about her knee.
Backstage:
Bronson Reed snarls while Seth cackles. Seth tells Paul he was right about this one. Paul says Seth was right about this one. Seth agrees that he was right because he knew first hand what Reed can do. Seth tells Reed he is going to destroy Roman Reigns in Paris. Seth tells Bron he is going to make sure that LA Knight doesn’t make it to Paris. Seth cackles and says this is the vision. It is everythng they dreamed of.
Backstage:
Iyo is with Rhea and Rhea says so much for keeping their distance. She thanks Iyo and leaves. Asuka yells at Iyo and Kairi tries to hold her back. Asuka wants to know what Iyo is doing with Rhea. Asuka tells her to stop talking and Iyo tries to say something but Asuka will not listen to her. Iyo tells Kairi to listen to her and Kairi does not say anything before walking away.
AJ Styles vs. Finn Balor
Finn with kicks and he sends AJ to the floor. AJ blocks a kick and AJ with punches. Finn kicks AJ on the break and Finn with a side head lock and AJ with a Phenomenal Drop Kick. Finn goes to the floor and AJ with a slingshot forearm to the floor. AJ with a chop and he sends Finn back into the ring. Finn with chops and AJ returns the favor. Finn with an Irish whip and AJ with a boot and forearm. Finn stops a springboard move and Finn drop kicks AJ off the apron. Finn kicks AJ when AJ gets back in the ring and the referee warns Finn. Finn with a chop. AJ with chops and he goes for a sunset flip, but you don’t sunset flip Finn Balor, and he rolls through and hits a drop kick. Finn chokes AJ in the ropes. Finn sends AJ into the turnbuckles and he punches and kicks AJ. Finn poses on the turnbuckles over AJ. Finn with a snap mare and reverse chin lock.
AJ with elbows and he tries to get Finn up but Finn counters and gets a near fall. AJ with a back breaker to counter a cross body by Finn. Finn misses an elbow in the corner and AJ tries to get Finn up but Finn escapes. Finn goes for a GTR but AJ escapes and hits a Pele Kick and a sliding forearm. AJ with a leaping clothesline followed by an Ushigoroshi for a near fall. Finn blocks a Styles Clash and he sends AJ to the apron. AJ wtih a forearm and he misses a springboard move. Finn with sling blade and drop kick to send AJ into the turnbuckles. Finn goes up top and he misses Coup de Grace when AJ moves. AJ goes for the Calf Crusher but Finn rolls through. AJ with a Styles Clash for the three count.
Winner: AJ Styles
Backstage:
Jey is talking to someone and he talks about everything going on and he doesn’t know who to trust. Roman says he feels him. He wants to know why Jey is so uptight. You have been doing this for twenty years. He tells Jey he has helped everyone and do it for yourself. It isn’t about being one of the boys and being friends. It is locking in the legacy.
- It is time for the contractually obligated Interstital segment with the New Day and Grayson Waller. Kofi says a celebration is in order because against the odds, he beat Penta. He has avenged Woods and made Penta pay for his sins. Woods tells everyone to shut up when they are speaking. For three weeks in a row, Penta has illegally assaulted them. He ruined his mourning hat and hurt his neck. You cheered. Kofi says y’all are booing them like they want to be here. Kofi says they get to go back to the US in a few days while you have to continue to live in this piss stained excuse of a city. You got to lay eyes on them. You should be thankful for that. You should thank God for that.

We Hear from Bayley (and her voices)
Bayley doesn’t hear any voices today. She says she doesn’t know what she needs. She hears voices telling her to listen to her heart and that is why she became a champion. She says Bayley has been to Wrestlemania before. You know what that feels like. Then she hears the voice of doubt. No one talks about you any more. Is this how you get to the top. Bayley says she goes through this all the time while she hears the voices argue. They fight over what they did. Bayley wants it to stop.
– Lyra tells Pearce she is concerned about Bayley. He says if he hears anything, he will let Lyra know.
Backstage:
Dom and JD want to talk to Adam about AJ. Pearce says he gave him a match against Finn. Dom says AJ has been stalking him and it needs to end. Pearce says Dom is right. It has to end. Next week on Raw, AJ Styles faces Dom Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship.
– Roman Reigns attacks Bron Breakker in the back and then hits a Superman punch on Reed. Pearce tells Bron to get to the ring.
LA Knight vs. Bron Breakker
Knight attacks Bron and punches him. He sends Bron into a storage case as they go to the ring. Bron kicks Knight and Knight Irish whips Bron into the tron. Knight sends Bron into the ringside barrier. Bron with punches but Knight with a kick. Knight with punches as they head to the ring. Knight sends Bron into the ring steps. Knight sends Bron into the ring. Knight throws his jacket at Bron. Knight Irish whips Bron into the ringside barrier. Bron avoids being sent into the apron but Knight with elbows. Knight with an Irish whip into the ring post. Knight with kicks. Knight tries to send Bron into the announce table but Bron with a low blow and he sends Knight into the announce table. Bron goes for the broad jump clothesline off the apron and Knight punches Bron. Knight slams Bron’s head into the announce table.
Knight sends Bron over the announce table. Knight with a clothesline off the table.
The match officially starts and Knight with kicks in the corner. Knight with a running knee into the corner. Knight with a neck breaker for a near fall. Knight chokes Bron in the ropes. Knight with a running knee to the head. Knight sends Bron into the turnbuckles. Bron with shoulders in the corner. Knight and Bron exchange punches. Bron with a side head lock and Bron with a WARP clothesline. Bron punches Knight. Bron chokes Knight in the ropes. Bron with an exploder and the shirt comes off. Bron throws the shirt ar Knight and hits a German suplex. Bron misses a punch and Knight with jabs and a discus clothesline. Knight with a side Russian leg sweep and a clothesline that sends Bron over the top rope to the floor.
Knight with a drop kick through the ropes. Bron sends Knight into the announce table. Bron sends Knight into the apron and ring steps. Bron kicks Knight. Bron with a hard Irish whip. Knight goes after Paul and Bron hits him from behind. Bron with a knee to the head and punches. Bron with a reverse chin lock. Knight with elbows and he misses a clothesline. Knight with a rollup for a near fall. Knight goes for the leaping neck breaker but Bron holds on to the ropes. Bron sends Knight into the turnbuckles and puts him on top for a Frankensteiner. Knight with punches and Bron leaps oup and hits the Frankensteiner for a near fall. Bron sets for the spear and Knight kicks Bron. Knight is stopped by Bron and Bron with a press slam attempt but Knight counters into a DDT.
Bron with a punch and Knight punches back. They go back and forth. Knight with a flying clothesline and he hits the jumping neck breaker. Knight with a kick but Bron escapes a DDT. Bron goes for a press slam but Knight gets to his feet and he hits a reverse DDT. Knight goes to the turnbuckles for the Catchphrase elbow but Bron moves. Bron avoids a BFT and hits a flying clothesline. The straps come down nd it is spear time. Knight with a boot to the head for a near fall. Bron with a back elbow and Knight puts Bron on the turnbuckles and he punches Bron. Knight climbs the turnbuckles and sets for a superplex but Bron knocks him off. Knight leaps up and hits a superplex. Knight with the Catchphrase elbow drop. Knight sets for the BFT and . . .
Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Knight swings at Seth but Seth stays on the floor. Knight jogs around the ring to chase after Seth. Bron with a spear on the floor and he hits the WARP spear for the three count.
Winner: Bron Breakker
After the match, Seth attacks Knight and punches and kicks him.
Jey Uso’s music plays and he comes to the ring at a nice casual pace.
Jey sends Bron to the floor and he punches Seth many times. Jey with a super kick to Seth. Jey sets for a spear on Seth but Bron gets back into the ring to distract Jey. Seth with a Pedigree to Jey. Bron punches Jey and Seth attacks Knight.
CM Punk’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring and Bron waits for him. Punk punches Bron. Bron is sent into the ring post by Punk. Punk gets on the apron and Seth is ready for him. They throw punches and Punk with the advantage. Punk with kicks to the leg and Bron pulls Seth to safety.
Punk sees Knight and Jey down in the ring.
Punk walks over Knight to help Jey up.
Knight wants to know what just happened and they push each other.
Knight pushes Jey while Seth gives alternate commentary.
Punk pushes Knight into Jey when Knight goes for a BFT. Punk gets Knight up for a GTS but Knight escapes and he walks into a super kick. Jey gives Punk a super kick and we hear cackling.
We go to credits.
