William Regal Responds to Chris Jericho’s NXT-USA Network Tweet, SmackDown Viewership

– This week’s WWE SmackDown episode drew 2.142 million viewers.

This is down 1% from last week’s 2.164 million viewers for the post-SummerSlam show, which was the best SmackDown viewership since the Superstar Shakeup edition on April 16, which drew 2.219 million viewers. It is the third best SmackDown viewership since the Superstar Shakeup.

To compare, Monday’s RAW drew an average of 2.534 million viewers, down from last week’s 2.729 million viewers for the post-SummerSlam episode, which was the best viewership since the RAW Reunion special on July 22, which drew 3.093 million viewers.

– As noted, former WWE Superstar and current AEW wrestler Chris Jericho is one of the talents who has responded to the news of NXT moving to USA Network.

Jericho also siad the following on Twitter: “Congrats to @WWENXT for making the big move to the @USA_Network! Runners always race faster when somebody is right behind them. Gonna be fun to see which team the world decides to join! #ChooseJericho @AEWrestling @AEWonTNT”

Jericho then also added, “Oh by the way… @WWENXT on @USA_Network? #YoureWelcome #IndustryChanger”

It seems these tweets went unnoticed by NXT’s General Manager William Regal. Regal, who feuded with Jericho during his WWE career, replied, “Yes,thank you Chris. From us both being on NXT in 2010 until today, being a mentor, announcer and GM, NXT has given huge opportunities for many talent who would never of got a chance before, to be real game changers. And it’s all down to you.Thank you so much”
