WWE announced three big title matches for October 30 episode of SmackDown following a night of intense confrontations and high-stakes multi-man action.
The Undisputed Championship Clash
During the October 23 broadcast, Trick Williams interrupted the reigning champion Sami Zayn during an in-ring segment that also featured Rey Fenix. The heated exchange quickly spiraled into a chaotic tag team encounter, pitting Williams and Fenix against the duo of Zayn and Johnny Gargano.
Before stepping out for his match, Williams met with Cathy Kelley in a backstage interview. Trick used the platform to drop a major bombshell, announcing his official challenge for Zayn’s title next week.
AAA Cruiserweight and Women’s Title Showdowns
The stakes rose even higher during the main event broadcast, where Penta teamed up with Rey Fenix and Trick Williams to battle the combination of Sami Zayn, Johnny Gargano, and Ricky Saints. Following the conclusion of the chaotic war, officials announced that Fenix will defend his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Saints on the upcoming show.
In addition to the men’s title fights, the WWE Women’s Championship will be on the line. Chelsea Green is scheduled to defend her coveted prize against the returning Nikki Bella in a highly anticipated singles encounter.
As noted by WrestlingAttitude.Com, creative and executive teams are reportedly very happy with the current run of Nikki Bella. Internal updates indicate that the company is actively evaluating ways to give Bella a more prominent spotlight on upcoming programming.
A Very Nice, Very Evil Host
In a completely unexpected twist, it has been officially announced that Danhausen will be hosting next week’s broadcast. The special episode is officially being titled Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown.
While the popular star hasn’t been announced for an official match on the show just yet, backstage sources confirm he will have his unique presence felt throughout the entire night.
