Drew McIntyre Discusses Russell Crowe’s Ideas for a Potential WWE Storyline
The dialogue between the two entertainment figures reportedly goes far beyond casual industry networking. McIntyre shared that the acclaimed actor has shown genuine enthusiasm for stepping directly into the wrestling world to launch an on-screen alliance, even floating ideas for a massive showcase appearance.
- McIntyre revealed that the actor initiated multiple conversations about an on-screen collaboration, noting, “Russell was legitimately talking about he wanted to do something a couple of times. Oh, he got all excited about us doing something together in the same team and talked about, like, WrestleMania or whatever.”
- The creative concepts pitched by the Hollywood star reportedly involve establishing a villainous tandem, complete with an auxiliary character brought in to handle managerial duties.
While the mutual desire to collaborate is evident, realizing such a crossover requires navigating the corporate realities of sports entertainment. McIntyre pointed out that any potential arrangement hinges heavily on executive sign-off and budgetary negotiations.
“He’s willing to do it. I mean, I have to talk with the bosses about the numbers because I’m sure he’s not cheap,” McIntyre remarked.
