Tony D’Angelo and Grayson Waller Trade Verbal Shots

Tony D’Angelo heads to the ring and calls out Grayson Waller.

Waller says he always knew their paths would cross again and points out that both men arrived in WWE around the same time. He reminds D’Angelo that they once fought on the same team in WarGames and questions whether D’Angelo is avoiding him. Waller says he wants the satisfaction of beating D’Angelo one-on-one and calls him the final obstacle he needs to overcome.

D’Angelo fires back by accusing Waller of always looking down on him. He says nobody knew who Waller was before WWE and claims Waller spent more time chasing viral moments than championships.

Waller reminds D’Angelo that he debuted on television first and even had to help show him the ropes during WarGames. He argues that it didn’t matter how talented he was because D’Angelo was always the one receiving opportunities.

The exchange grows more heated as D’Angelo accuses Waller of hiding behind one-liners and internet memes because he craves attention. Waller responds that having a personality is not a weakness and insists he has already beaten D’Angelo mentally. Looking ahead to Halloween Havoc, Waller says all that remains is finishing the job and drowning D’Angelo once and for all.

D’Angelo reminds Waller that WarGames was only his third match in NXT and says everything now comes down to settling things one-on-one. Waller acknowledges D’Angelo’s accomplishments, including victories over Oba Femi, but insists none of that will matter when they step into the ring together.

The NXT Champion says he has restored meaning to the title, while D’Angelo argues that his own championship reign helped establish his legacy. D’Angelo tells Waller that he is still a Division I All-American wrestler and promises to drag him through hell when they meet at Halloween Havoc.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: The Wagner Brothers vs. BirthRight

The quarterfinal match begins with El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and Charlie Dempsey representing their teams. The two engage in a technical exchange early, trading pinning combinations and submission holds as neither man is able to establish a clear advantage. Wagner Jr. eventually gains the upper hand with a pair of arm drags that force Dempsey to regroup.

The pace picks up when Galeno and Lexis King tag into the match. King lands a kick to the midsection and follows with a chop, but Galeno quickly overwhelms him with his power and sends him crashing into the corner back-first. The Wagner Brothers begin working efficiently as a unit, making frequent tags and keeping BirthRight on the defensive.

Wagner Jr. continues to wear down Dempsey before Galeno re-enters the match and crushes King with a running senton. When Dempsey attempts to get involved, Galeno sends him to the floor as well.

With BirthRight regrouping on the outside, the Wagner Brothers look to increase the pressure. However, Grace steps in front of them at ringside, creating a brief distraction. The delay does not stop the former AAA stars. Wagner Jr. uses Galeno as a launching point and springs over the top rope, wiping out King, Dempsey, and Connors on the outside in a spectacular display of teamwork.

A footage from earlier in the day was shown. Izzi Dame and Layla Diggs argued about who doesn’t like Zaria more and they decided to have a match about it.

– Ariana Grace interrupted Vic Joseph from outside (?) and we had a brief promo from Lexis King and Charley Dempsey about how Birthright is going to win the Dusty Classic.

– Back from break a vignette for Chantel Monroe aired. She is “pure entertainment and loves attention.”

The Wagner Brothers continue to build momentum as El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. catches Charlie Dempsey with a right hand before making the tag. Galeno enters and immediately takes control, driving Lexis King into the corner with a step-up knee strike. He then turns his attention to Dempsey, unloading in the opposite corner before crushing him with a standing splash.

Galeno follows with a cover on King, but BirthRight stays alive as King kicks out. Looking to put the match away, Galeno heads to the top rope. Before he can connect, King avoids disaster by getting his knees up.

The action outside the ring then takes an unexpected turn when Zilla Fatu appears and attacks Connors at the base of the entrance ramp. Grace attempts to stop him with an open-hand strike, but Zilla remains standing.

Back inside the ring, the distraction works in the Wagner Brothers’ favor. Wagner Jr. tags Galeno back into the match, and Galeno immediately capitalizes. He soars off the top rope with a Frog Splash on King and secures the three-count.

Winners: El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno

Zilla Fatu Sends a Message

After the bell, Zilla continues the chaos. He throws Connors from the ring, knocks King off the apron, and plants Dempsey with a Samoan Drop before leaving BirthRight laid out.

Dion Lennox Has a Plan

The show then heads backstage, where Dion Lennox speaks with Osiris Griffin and Cutler James. Lennox warns that there will be casualties moving forward and says he already has a plan. He vows to drag Cruz Montana back to the dark place he once came from, hinting at further issues between the two sides.

Tavion Heights Calls Out Myles Borne

Tavion Heights heads to the ring and revisits the issues that have led to his rivalry with Myles Borne. Heights recalls Borne wrapping a steel chair around his ankle and targeting the injury despite previously apologizing to him at Heatwave. Heights admits that he believed the apology at the time, but says Borne only doubled down on his actions afterward.

Heights says trusting Borne was his mistake, but promises he will not make the same mistake twice. He also points to last week’s Number One Contender’s Match, saying he made sure he had a front-row seat to watch Borne crack under the pressure against Tony D’Angelo.

Before Heights can continue, Myles Borne rushes the ring and attacks him from behind. The two immediately begin trading punches before the fight spills out of the ring and into the Performance Center parking lot. Security and officials swarm the area and eventually separate the two men, but the hostility between them continues to escalate.

Vanity Project Learns Its Next Challenges

Later, Vanity Project enters Robert Stone’s office looking for answers regarding the recent issues involving Mini Vikingo. Stone informs the group that Mini Vikingo has not been medically cleared to compete.

Despite the update, Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes remain confident about their chances against Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

Before the group leaves, Stone has additional news. He informs Jackson Drake that he will defend the NXT North American Championship next week against EK Prosper, setting up a title match for the upcoming episode of NXT.

Layla Diggs vs. Izzi Dame

The match stems from a confrontation earlier in the day, and both women come out looking to prove a point. Izzi Dame establishes control immediately, overpowering Layla Diggs in the opening exchange and grounding her with a headlock. Diggs escapes and matches Dame hold for hold, but Dame quickly shifts her focus to Diggs’ surgically repaired shoulder, driving her into the turnbuckles shoulder-first.

Diggs battles through the pain and creates some momentum with a shoulder tackle of her own. She avoids a big boot and sends Dame to the floor, looking for an aerial attack, but Dame intercepts her with a forearm strike. Diggs recovers moments later, rolling Dame back into the ring and connecting with a powerslam followed by a standing moonsault for a two count.

Dame regains control with a backbreaker and continues targeting the shoulder. She slows the pace with submissions and power offense, repeatedly forcing Diggs onto the defensive. Even so, Diggs continues fighting back and eventually strings together a series of strikes, a high knee in the corner, and a facebuster to put Dame on the ropes.

Diggs appears close to victory after landing a frog splash from the top rope, but Dame survives the cover. The two then exchange momentum with near falls as the match enters its final stages. Dame scores with a crucifix bomb, while Diggs repeatedly finds counters whenever Dame looks ready to finish things.

After several reversals, Dame heads to the top rope but jumps directly into a kick from Diggs. Diggs climbs up for Cherry on Top, but Dame avoids the move. As Diggs lands, Dame drills her with a running knee strike and finally puts her away.

Winner: Izzi Dame

Zaria Gives Izzi Dame What She Wants

Following the match, Zaria makes her way to the ring carrying a microphone. Clearly frustrated, she says the situation between herself and Dame has gone on long enough and calls out the recent string of embarrassing photos and personal attacks.

Zaria tells Dame that digging up old high school pictures is not how someone earns a shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship. She then cuts straight to the point and gives Dame the championship opportunity she has been seeking.

Dame says she does not need the title, but accepts the match anyway before leaving the ring, making the championship showdown official.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Creed Brothers vs. Hank & Tank

The quarterfinal matchup begins with Tank and Julius Creed squaring off in a physical but evenly matched exchange. Neither man can gain a clear advantage as they repeatedly counter one another’s holds. Julius eventually backs Tank into the corner, allowing Brutus Creed to enter and help his brother gain control.

Hank receives a blind tag and immediately changes the momentum, helping his team isolate Brutus with quick tags and frequent double-team offense. The Creed Brothers eventually halt the rally when Brutus counters and drops Hank hard to the mat, allowing his team to take over.

The former NCAA standouts begin cutting the ring in half, preventing Hank from reaching his corner. Despite the pressure, Hank manages to create an opening and tags in Tank, who targets Brutus’ arm and briefly swings the momentum back in his team’s favor.

The match continues to shift back and forth as both teams exchange power offense. Julius and Brutus repeatedly use quick tags to wear Tank down, landing gutbusters, slams, and stiff strikes while keeping Hank out of the match. Tank absorbs the punishment and continues searching for an opportunity to make a tag.

That opening finally arrives when Julius misses a strike, allowing Tank to reach Hank. The fresh competitor storms into the ring and clears house, taking out both Creed Brothers. Hank and Tank begin building momentum and force the highly decorated team onto the defensive.

The closing sequence sees chaos erupt around ringside. Brutus pulls Hank to the floor to stop a double-team maneuver, but Tank neutralizes him. While the referee’s attention is elsewhere, Hank slips back into the ring and assists his partner. Tank follows up with the cover and secures the upset victory.

Winners: Hank & Tank

BirthRight Complains to Robert Stone

Backstage, members of BirthRight confront Robert Stone over Zilla Fatu’s actions earlier in the night. The group voices its frustrations, while Stone listens to the complaints.

The segment then shifts when Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey walk by on their way to Sinclair’s NXT Women’s Championship contract signing. Sinclair says she has business to attend to, while Grey expresses confidence ahead of the upcoming signing.

Before they leave, Chantel Monroe briefly approaches them. The interaction does not last long, however, and Sinclair and Grey continue toward the ring as preparations begin for the contract signing.

Wren Sinclair’s Contract Signing Ends in Chaos

Wren Sinclair heads to the ring for the scheduled contract signing ahead of her NXT Women’s Championship match against Kelani Jordan at Halloween Havoc. Sinclair wastes little time calling for Jordan to come to the ring and sign the contract.

Instead of a standard signing, Jordan interrupts with a surprise. She reveals that she brought a gift for Sinclair and proceeds to drag a beaten Kendal Grey onto the stage. The sight of Grey immediately changes the tone of the segment, leaving Sinclair focused on her fallen friend rather than the contract.

Zilla Fatu Wants Charlie Dempsey

Backstage in Robert Stone’s office, Zilla Fatu continues pushing for a fight with Charlie Dempsey. Fatu even suggests bringing back the Halloween Havoc Wheel to determine the stipulation. Stone listens as Fatu makes his case before the conversation comes to an end.

Saquon Shugars Draws Criticism

Elsewhere, several NXT Superstars are discussing EK Prosper’s upcoming title opportunity when Saquon Shugars grabs everyone’s attention by watching NXT on his iPad at full volume.

Sean Legacy tells Shugars that he has too much talent to be wasting it the way he has been. Shugars immediately fires back, warning Legacy to stop talking behind his back. The exchange creates more tension within the locker room before the two go their separate ways.

Cruz Montana Attacked Backstage

Emily Agard is stationed outside Cruz Montana’s locker room when Osiris Griffin and Cutler James arrive. The pair enter the room and attack Montana, carrying out the plan that had been teased earlier in the night.

The assault does not last long before other members of the locker room hear the commotion and rush in. Officials and fellow wrestlers quickly separate the men, but the attack leaves Montana laid out and further escalates the issues between the two sides.

Naraku Delivers a Chilling Warning

A pre-recorded message from Naraku airs, targeting Shiloh Hill. Naraku runs through the various mist attacks that have already been used, including the red, green, orange, and blue mists. He then introduces a new threat, warning Hill about the black mist and claiming it is far more dangerous than the others. Naraku closes by ominously stating that the black mist will kill Shiloh Hill.

Izzy Rain Challenges Chantel Monroe

Later, Izzy Rain discusses Naraku’s warning with Shiloh Hill. After Hill leaves, saying he is heading back to the lab, Chantel Monroe approaches. The interaction quickly turns confrontational, with Rain growing frustrated and challenging Monroe to a match next week.

Cruz Montana vs. Dion Lennox

The night’s main event is fueled by weeks of bad blood between Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox. Both men waste no time getting physical, trading punches as soon as the bell rings.

Montana gains an early advantage with clotheslines and chops, but Lennox responds with a suplex and a spinebuster for a pair of near falls. Cruz battles back with a senton, a cannonball in the corner, and a sit-out powerbomb, but Lennox refuses to stay down.

The fight spills to the outside, where Lennox sends Montana into the steel steps and exposes part of the arena floor. He attempts to capitalize, but Cruz counters and sends him into the ring post instead. Back inside the ring, the two continue exchanging heavy offense, with neither able to put the other away.

As the match progresses, Lennox repeatedly targets Montana while taunting him. Cruz answers with a springboard crossbody, a superkick, an enzuigiri, and a rolling stunner, earning several close calls. Lennox survives and responds with a lariat and a sit-out slam before once again turning the confrontation personal.

The verbal shots push Montana over the edge. He abandons wrestling altogether, throwing Lennox onto the announce table and unloading with punches. The attack escalates when Montana drives Lennox through the LED board with a spear, forcing the referee to bring the match to an end.

Result: No Contest

Montana Loses Control

Even after the match is stopped, Montana continues the assault. Security rushes to ringside in an effort to restore order, but Montana remains focused on inflicting damage.

Lennox continues talking from the floor, prompting Montana to slam him onto the exposed concrete. He follows with a curb stomp and then grabs the steel steps, looking to deliver even more punishment.

At the last moment, Cutler James dives on top of Lennox and absorbs the impact from the steel steps himself. Moments later, authorities arrive and finally restrain Montana, bringing the chaos to an end as officials place his hands behind his back.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals

Two quarterfinal matches headline the tournament action. Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes of Vanity Project begin their Dusty Classic run against Chazz “Starboy” Hall and Mini Vikingo. Vanity Project received a bye into the quarterfinals, while Hall and Vikingo punched their ticket by defeating BirthRight’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and Uriah Connors earlier in the tournament.

Nathan Frazer and Axiom also return to tournament action tonight. They face Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno in a matchup featuring four of NXT’s most experienced competitors. Frazer and Axiom advanced with a win over DarkState’s Osiris Griffin and Cutler James, while Dar and Moreno moved forward by defeating Los Americanos’ Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano.

Cruz Montana vs. Dion Lennox

Cruz Montana faces Dion Lennox in a match fueled by growing hostility. Last week, Lennox attacked Montana backstage and then took things a step further by calling Montana’s mother while Montana was on the phone with her. The incident pushed the rivalry to a new level, and Montana now gets a chance to respond inside the ring.
