The complete eight-man field has been finalized for the first-ever Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream.
Following a series of high-stakes qualifying matches during the special three-hour block of AEW Dynamite & Collision, the final participants have punched their tickets to compete in the first-ever Clockwork Carnage match at AEW WrestleDream.
The Full Field Set for WrestleDream
Reigning AEW World Champion Will Ospreay will put his title on the line against an elite field of seven challengers:
- Samoa Joe
- Mike Bailey
- Kazuchika Okada
- Adam Copeland
- Konosuke Takeshita
- Darby Allin
- Ricochet
Path to the Match & Rules
The final five slots were decided after a grueling series of qualifying bouts on the October 14 broadcast:
- Kazuchika Okada defeated Myron Reed
- Adam Copeland defeated Josh Alexander
- Konosuke Takeshita defeated Brian Cage
- Darby Allin defeated Hechicero
- Ricochet defeated Ace Austin (Samoa Joe and Mike Bailey previously secured their spots earlier in the month).
The chaotic three-hour broadcast culminated in a massive eight-man brawl involving all confirmed participants, setting a volatile tone ahead of Saturday’s pay-per-view.
The Clockwork Carnage match combines elements of a Casino Gauntlet and an Iron Man match. Two competitors start the match, with a new participant entering every three minutes. Any wrestler pinned or submitting during the entry phase is eliminated. Once all eight men enter, a 15-minute scoring period begins where every pinfall or submission counts as one fall, with the wrestler holding the most falls when time expires walking away with the AEW World Championship.
