WWE is in the process of overhauling its mobile broadcast infrastructure, replacing a production fleet that has been in service for more than ten years, according to Fightful Select.
To modernize its weekly touring setup, the company plans to deploy three state-of-the-art mobile command centers. Moving from city to city, these units will serve as the primary hub for all live television operations, housing the control systems responsible for switching camera angles, managing instant replays, cueing entrance media, and rendering real-time graphics.
Manufacturing of the specialized vehicles is currently underway at Pennsylvania-based N.E.P. Integration. Individual units carry an estimated price tag between $12 million and $15 million, bringing WWE’s total capital investment in the tech overhaul to between $36 million and $45 million.
