Penta turned an unexpected main event opportunity into a ticket to Money in the Bank, replacing a kidnapped Solo Sikoa to win a high-stakes Triple Threat Qualifier on the September 21 episode of WWE RAW.
The main event was originally scheduled to feature Sikoa, Dominik Mysterio, and Dragon Lee in a battle for a spot in the upcoming ladder match. However, before Sikoa could make his entrance, he was ambushed and abducted backstage by The 946—the powerhouse trio consisting of Royce Keys, Bronco Nima, and Lucien Price. With Lee and Mysterio awaiting an opponent in the ring, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce stepped out to declare Penta as Sikoa’s last-minute replacement.
Penta capitalized on the sudden main event slot in dramatic fashion. In the closing sequence, the Mexican star neutralized Dragon Lee on the outside by driving him into the apron with a devastating Mexican Destroyer. Mysterio immediately targeted Penta upon re-entry, landing a reverse 619 followed by a frog splash for a narrow near fall.
Penta quickly recovered, countering Mysterio’s offensive push and spiking him with a springboard Mexican Destroyer to secure the pinfall victory.
With the win, Penta joins a loaded field for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match that already features Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker, and Trick Williams.
