Women’s wrestling legend Mickie James was forced to pull out of her scheduled appearance at Hamilton Comic Con over the weekend after suffering an eye injury at her home farm.
The multi-time champion reached out to fans on social media to address her absence and clarify why she was unable to complete the convention booking:
“Dear Hamilton, I am sorry I could not make it.”
Detailing the incident, James explained that an unexpected mishap on her farm on Friday left her in significant discomfort, making travel and public appearances impossible:
“I clumsily suffered a minor eye injury on Friday at the farm and I can barely open my eye. The airport and flight was brutal. The lights; makeup; and everything are so painful.”
Despite attempting the trip, the pain from bright lights and convention preparation forced her to turn back home. However, the veteran star promised her fan base that she would return to fulfill the booking in the future:
“I couldn’t let you see me in misery so I went back home. I will make it up to you.”
