NXT Results – August 18, 2026 – Welcome to Wrestling Attitude’s live coverage of NXT for August 18, 2026, coming to you from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Cruz Montana asked NXT what’s good and called out Zilla Fatu. He said he came to NXT to take a spot, which meant going straight for the NXT Championship. Montana said Zilla now gets added to that list, and if it wasn’t for him, Montana would be the new Number One Contender. He said he doesn’t care if the world is talking about Zilla — he won’t let him take what’s his. A crew member then informed Montana that Zilla wasn’t at the Performance Center.

Rey Fenix’s music hit and he made his way out. He told Montana he was happy to see him again and said he’s in NXT to find out who his next challenger for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship will be. He added that if someone cost him a title shot, he’d be ready for them too.

Montana said he and Fenix have been through it all across their careers outside WWE, and he respects Fenix for how he carries himself and represents Latino culture. He said the parking lot is the most dangerous place in NXT and promised he’d meet Zilla there.

Fatal Four-Way Number One Contenders Match for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship – EK Prosper vs. La Parka vs. Tristan Angels vs. Romeo Moreno

The bell rang and Angels clotheslined Parka out of the ring. He turned around into a double superkick from Prosper and Moreno, who then went back and forth trading shots. Angels sent Moreno face first into the ring apron, but Parka cut him off with a kick and leveled Moreno with a clothesline. Parka hit a flapjack on Moreno, but Prosper dropped Parka with a clothesline and nailed an Atomic Drop on Moreno.

During the break, Angels whipped Moreno into the ropes and hit a back elbow. He knocked Prosper off the apron and chopped Moreno, then whipped him into the opposite corner and hit a backbreaker. Angels clotheslined Moreno, but Parka fired chops at Angels. Angels answered with a backstabber.

Back from the break, Moreno caught Angels with a kick, but Angels hit an enzuigiri as Moreno sat him on the top rope. Prosper pulled Angels down and superkicked him. Parka followed with a springboard kick to Angels. Moreno intercepted Prosper and Angels with a double kick, but Prosper planted Moreno with a DDT.

Moreno climbed the ropes, but Parka hit a Spanish Fly and went for the pin. Prosper broke it up with a Frog Splash off the top. He ran over Angels with a Shining Wizard. Moreno fell on top of Angels for a pin attempt, but Parka broke it. Prosper then hit a moonsault off the top rope onto Moreno and scored the win.

Winner (and new Number One Contender): EK Prosper

Rey Fenix came to the ring to shake his hand. Prosper and Fenix face off next week for the AAA Crusierweight Championship.

Results for WWE NXT on August 18, 2026, continue after a commercial break.

Backstage: Kendal Grey, Wren Sinclair, Vanity Project, and Shiloh Hill

Back from break, it was announced that Zilla Fatu will be at work tonight because he has to sign his NXT contract.

We went to the Lunchroom Playset, where Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair were testing Grey’s reflexes.

Vanity Project wandered in and started hitting on Grey, which was… odd. Shiloh Hill then walked up. Grey and Sinclair made fun of Vanity Project — except for Myka — who fired back and said Drake needs to win tonight to prove them wrong.

Thea Hail vs. Nattie

The match opened with Thea Hail stepping right up to Nattie, and a shoving match broke out. Nattie slapped on a headlock, smiling as Hail tried to fight her way out. Hail managed to send Nattie off the ropes, but Nattie knocked her down with a shoulder block. Hail fired back with a Thesz press and sent Nattie crashing out toward Lyons and Petrovic. Hail then dove onto all three women at ringside.

Hail dragged Nattie back into the ring and stomped away. She started working Nattie’s arm, but Nattie slipped free and locked in a surfboard. Hail tried to counter, but Nattie’s legs shoved her into the ropes. Nattie hit a snapmare and yanked Hail up by the hair.

Hail countered a suplex into an inside cradle, but Nattie kicked out and floored her with a discus lariat. Nattie applied an abdominal stretch, but Hail planted her foot and shoved her off. Hail looked for the Kimura Lock, but Nattie countered and shot her into the corner.

Hail came back out and they traded rollups. Nattie went for the Sharpshooter, but Hail escaped and hit an exploder suplex into the corner. She followed with a blockbuster — right as Cruz Montana was shown wandering the parking lot in picture‑in‑picture.

Hail hit a headbutt and a powerslam, but missed a springboard. She slipped into a Kimura Lock, but Nattie stood up and slammed her out of it. Nattie locked in the Sharpshooter, and Hail had no choice but to tap.

Winner: Nattie

After the match, Nattie kept the Sharpshooter locked in. Petrovic and Lyons grabbed Jaida Parker and held her back, forcing her to watch Hail suffer.

Backstage: Lucien Price and Bronco Nima

In the Locker Room Playset, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima talked about Price’s upcoming Speed Title Match against Lexis King. Both men agreed Price should win.

Results for the August 18, 2026 episode of WWE NXT continue after a commercial break.

Lexis King (c) vs. Lucien Price – Speed Championship

The bell rang as the five‑minute time limit started. Price blasted King with a superkick right away and went for the pin, but Stacks and Connors yanked King out of the ring to break it. With four minutes left, King slid back out again to burn time. Price dragged him back in as the clock hit three minutes, whipped him into the corner, and splashed him.

King fired a superkick, but Price dropped him and King rolled onto the apron. Price hauled him back over the top rope, but King caught him with a DDT as the clock neared two minutes. Price answered with a clothesline and a back elbow, then hit a uranage as the clock ticked under one minute.

Price sat King on the top rope, but Connors and Charlie Dempsey tripped Price up. King took advantage and hit the Coronation for the win.

Winner (and still): Lexis King

After the match, Stacks, Dempsey, and Connors beat down Price until Bronco Nima ran out to help. Nima and Price embraced in the ring, looking fully reconciled.

Grayson Waller, Cruz Montana, Tony D’Angelo, and Robert Stone

Grayson Waller was shown walking down the hallway in a very threatening, deliberate stride, mic in hand. Four minutes later, he arrived in the ring and made it clear he was taking over NXT. He followed that by making a questionable remark about “another Samoan” taking bread off his table, then justified it by saying he’s Australian and has been fighting Samoans his whole life.

Waller kept going, making another off‑color comment about Zilla Fatu “taking off the ankle bracelet,” but Tony D’Angelo interrupted. Tony said he didn’t care who the Number One Contender is — he’ll beat them all.

Cruz Montana then returned from the parking lot, apparently tired of waiting for Zilla. He said he would’ve been the Number One Contender if Zilla hadn’t interrupted last week.

Montana suggested he and Waller run it back, and then he’d take out Fatu afterward.

Robert Stone sprinted down to the ring to “do what’s fair.” And of course, that meant announcing a Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship at Heatwave: Waller vs. Montana vs. D’Angelo. And surely no one else will be added… especially not someone who still needs to sign their contract tonight.

Backstage: Lizzy Rain, Shiloh Hill, and Miles Borne

In the Warehouse Playset, Lizzy Rain and Shiloh Hill had a conversation about nothing in particular — which was fine, because Miles Borne needed to talk to Hill. Borne told Hill that if he can beat Jackson Drake tonight, he’ll give him a shot at the North American Title at Heatwave. No one asked him to do this, but he offered it anyway.

The show cuts to a commercial break. We will be back for more WWE NXT results for August 18, 2026.

Robert Stone, Keanu Carver, and Kam Hendrix

Robert Stone was on the phone confirming that Zilla Fatu would be arriving tonight to sign his NXT contract. When he hung up, he realized Keanu Carver was already sitting in his office. Carver complained that yet another newcomer was getting opportunities before him. He then offered Stone a coffee — aggressively enough to make it weird — before Kam Hendrix walked in. Carver left, and the segment abruptly died on the vine.

Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair vs. Kelani Jordan & Kali Armstrong

The story going in: Kendal Grey is still dealing with the effects of her Underground fight with Lola Vice, where she bled from the ear but finished the match. Wren Sinclair has been watching her closely ever since, making sure she’s okay. Meanwhile, Kelani Jordan is challenging Grey for the NXT Women’s Championship at Heatwave.

Sinclair and Jordan opened the match. Sinclair grabbed a headlock, hit a dropkick into the corner, and Armstrong tagged herself in. Sinclair drop‑toed her and sent her into the ropes.

Grey tagged in and leapt over the ropes with a double stomp. She tried an amateur takedown, but Jordan fought back and they traded bridging pin attempts. Sinclair returned for a double team, and the WrenQCC wiped out both Jordan and Armstrong. Grey and Sinclair hit stereo dives from the top turnbuckles to the outside.

Back inside, Sinclair and Grey double‑teamed Jordan, with Sinclair staying legal for a two count. Armstrong kicked Sinclair through the ropes, letting Jordan hit high kicks and face‑bounces in the corner. Jordan and Armstrong isolated Sinclair, tagging in and out quickly while chasing fast pins.

Armstrong knocked Grey off the apron and speared Sinclair in the corner. She held Sinclair while Jordan axe‑handled her from the top. Sinclair threw wild punches trying to reach Grey. Armstrong locked in an elbow hold, then slammed Sinclair and set her up for Jordan’s springboard moonsault — but Sinclair dodged and finally reached Grey.

Grey exploded in with suplexes on both challengers. She hit gutwrenches and Germans until her balance gave out. She still managed an ankle lock on Armstrong, but Armstrong sent her headfirst into the turnbuckle.

Armstrong went for a powerslam, but Grey rolled through and tagged Sinclair. Sinclair hit clotheslines and went for a DDT, but Jordan escaped. Armstrong tagged in, though Jordan ignored it and tried a cover anyway. The referee sent Jordan out, letting Armstrong take over.

Sinclair blocked a piledriver and went for a submission, but Jordan broke it up. Grey flew across the ring and knocked both Jordan and Armstrong to the floor. Jordan tripped Grey, sending her headfirst into the steps.

Back in the ring, Armstrong hit a huge Kali Connection on Sinclair and scored the pin.

Winners: Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong

Saquon Shugars & Dion Lennox – Sit‑Down Interview

We went to a sit‑down satellite interview with Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox, and things got heated fast. The two men immediately slipped into a verbal confrontation, with Lennox telling Shugars he’s always been in his shadow. Shugars fired back by challenging Lennox to a Steel Cage Match.

Lennox accepted — but raised the stakes. He said he wanted weapons thrown into the mix.

Shugars told Lennox he’ll learn exactly what this is next week. He promised to beat Lennox and said he’s a diamond created by carrying the pressure of DarkState’s dead weight on his shoulders. Lennox promised that two men will walk into the cage, but only one will walk out.

We will return after a break with more results from the August 18, 2026 episode of WWE NXT.

Jackson Drake (w/ Vanity Project) vs. Shiloh Hill

The bell rang and Drake locked up with Hill. Hill drove a shoulder into Drake’s midsection in the corner, but Brad Baylor took a cheap shot from the outside. Drake distracted the referee, letting Baylor and Ricky Smokes beat Hill down on the floor.

During the break, Drake hit a double stomp and cranked Hill’s neck, then landed a dropkick. Back from commercial, Hill fired up with a clothesline and a big boot, followed by a slam and a standing flip. He hit the ropes, but Baylor and Smokes dragged him out of the ring. Myka Lockwood tried distracting the referee, but the ref caught Baylor and Smokes in the act and ejected all three members of Vanity Project.

Hill then launched over the top rope and wiped out Baylor and Smokes before Lockwood carried them to the back.

Inside the ring, Hill hit a flying shoulder tackle and climbed the ropes. Drake was knocked into the referee by accident, but the ref recovered just in time to miss Naraku sliding out from under the ring. Naraku sprayed red mist into Hill’s eyes while Hill was still perched on the ropes. Drake capitalized, hitting a 450 Splash for the win.

Winner: Jackson Drake

Robert Stone’s Office

We went back to Stone’s office, where Kali Armstrong and Zaria were waiting. Stone told Armstrong that if she can defeat Zaria next week, she’ll be added to the NXT Women’s Championship match at Heatwave.

Zilla Fatu Contract Signing & NXT Championship Chaos

Back from break, Zilla Fatu finally showed up to work — late, despite NXT sending a car for him — to sign his contract and officially become an NXT Superstar. And absolutely, definitely, totally not to be added to the Heatwave title match. No way. Impossible. Couldn’t happen.

Robert Stone stood in the ring and introduced Fatu. Zilla walked out wearing one of The Rock’s old shirts, complete with a surprisingly great theme song built around a chantable “Zilla” hook. Also, he looks like a very jacked Bruno Mars. Not relevant, but impossible not to notice.

Tony D’Angelo appeared on the Balcony Above The Wall People Get Thrown Through Playset, watching as Fatu took the mic. Fatu said he was excited to finally sign his WWE/NXT contract and made it clear his goal was to prove he’s not just another “nympho baby” — presumably meaning nepo baby.

Grayson Waller then stormed in from the entrance ramp, and Cruz Montana stomped in through the crowd. Stone tried to calm things down, announcing that per the contract, Fatu’s first NXT match would be a title match.

And of course, because this is wrestling, everyone immediately started fighting and yelling instead of agreeing to anything.

The fireworks factory finally exploded: Heatwave will now feature a Four-Way for the NXT Championship — Fatu vs. Waller vs. Montana vs. D’Angelo. Meaning Tony D’Angelo doesn’t even have to get pinned to lose the title. A classic swerve.

The show closed with everyone shouting at each other from different corners.
