WWE veteran Nattie has shared high praise for rising NXT star Jaida Parker, comparing her raw intensity to that of Jacob Fatu ahead of their high-stakes collision this weekend.
Speaking on Busted Open, Nattie revealed that her current run in NXT was self-initiated. The multi-time champion personally requested permission from NXT head Shawn Michaels to work with Parker, citing a unique competitive edge that sets the young talent apart from the rest of the roster.
“A lot of things were accomplished tonight, and this is exactly why I asked Shawn Michaels to please (let me) come and work with Jaida Parker in NXT,” Nattie said. “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: not a single soul asked me to come to NXT. It’s not like ‘Oh, she’s being asked to go down there because she’s trying to take someone’s spot.’ I said to Shawn, ‘I want to work with Jaida because I see something in her that is so special.'”

Nattie further detailed what drew her to Parker, noting that her aggression and presence mirror some of the most dominant competitors in professional wrestling today.
“She’s got this dog in her that I’m like—I’ve got to test the Nattie character out against her,” she explained. “I feel like, and I’ve said this before, I feel like she’s the female Jacob Fatu. She’s got this edge about her that’s very different from the other girls, and that’s not me saying anything negative about any of the other girls because I loved the match I had with Kendal, I loved the match I had with Thea Hail, and I love the work I’ve done in NXT.”
Nattie has recently integrated herself heavily into the NXT brand, aligning alongside Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons while maintaining a focal feud against Parker.
Rubber Match Set for NXT Heatwave
The personal rivalry between the veteran and the rising star will come to a head on Sunday, August 30, at NXT Heatwave, where the two meet in a Submission Match.
The bout serves as a rubber match for their summer-long conflict. Nattie initially defeated Parker via submission on June 16, but Parker rebounded on July 21 by forcing a referee-stoppage victory over the veteran. Following a heated verbal exchange on the August 25 episode of NXT, the submission stipulation was made official.
