NXT Results – July 28, 2026 – Welcome to Wrestling Attitude’s live coverage of NXT for July 28, 2026, coming to you from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida!

Grayson Waller walks to the ring and says he’s ready to shake the whole place awake. He says he reached the main roster only weeks after shattering his leg in Madison Square Garden, and ever since then something has felt off. Maybe he spoke too bluntly. Maybe he didn’t play the game. He says his run has been a joke. He says he dragged around a 240‑pound anchor just to make that guy look important. He calls him a Marty Jannetty who hides from a microphone. He says the man spent a year acting like he was mourning, wearing a goofy hat and hyping someone else instead of himself. Waller says he dressed for a funeral because he was living one.

He says he’s been backstage in the best condition of his life, waiting for a moment that actually matters.

He says the only way to clear his head is to take the NXT World Title. He says that championship has been held by real names. He says people get moved up because he does the heavy lifting. He says he’s not the guy you throw on screen before a commercial. He says he’s coming for the title. He’s coming for Cruz Montana, and he actually likes the name. He says in six weeks the company will find a new toy and Cruz will be yesterday’s news. He says being the top guy in TNA in 2026 is like being the best player at the YMCA.

He says Tony had no challengers left and can go home and take care of his kid.

A production assistant tries to cut him off. Waller refuses. He tells everyone to stop scrolling and pay attention. He says the men’s roster is soft. He says the women are blowing past them, but most of the men think they’re ready for a call‑up. He says maybe ten percent are actually ready, and they’re all women. He says the men want to play wrestler for a few months and impress the girls. He says the indie talent looks great until you hand them a microphone, then everything falls apart.

Waller says Shawn is smiling because he’s speaking the truth. He says the division is wide open and nobody has stepped up. He says he’s grabbing every chance he can because he’s trying to remember who he is.

The mic cuts out. Waller shouts that he doesn’t need it. He says he already took one. He tells everyone their cages have been rattled.

Tavion Heights, Myles Borne & Mason Rook Backstage

Tavion and Myles talk about Grayson Waller’s rant. Tavion tells Myles to handle business tonight, and then they can go after Vanity Project.

Mason Rook walks in and says he’s getting his hands on Kam. Myles reminds him that he already has his match lined up against Kam.

Lizzy Rain vs. Izzi Dame

They lock up and Izzi drives Rain into the ropes. Izzi chops her. They tie up again. Izzi swings and misses, and Rain answers with a chop. Rain grabs a waist lock and moves into a side headlock. Rain matrix‑leans out of a cutter attempt, but Izzi levels her with a clothesline. Rain kicks from the mat. Rain fires more chops.

Izzi whips Rain hard, but Rain floats over and chops her again. Izzi yanks Rain off the turnbuckles and hits another clothesline. Izzi sends Rain into the corner. Izzi hits a suplex for a near fall. Rain rolls her up for a near fall. Rain kicks Izzi’s knee and lands a spinning back heel kick. Rain hits a forearm and a chop. Rain headbutts Izzi. Izzi kicks back, but Rain answers with another kick.

Rain hits a springboard back elbow and Izzi falls to the floor. Rain goes for a dropkick through the ropes, but Izzi blocks it. Izzi sends Rain into the apron and follows with a boot.

Izzi sends Rain back into the ring. Izzi hits a running shoulder in the corner and follows with more shoulders. Izzi hits a short‑arm clothesline. She launches Rain with a release suplex and kicks Rain in the head. Izzi goes for another suplex, but Rain slips into an inside cradle for a near fall.

Izzi rolls to the floor. Rain tries a drop toe hold on the apron, but Izzi stays upright. Rain tries a suplex, but Izzi blocks it and hits another release suplex for a near fall. Izzi applies a rear chin lock. Rain breaks free with a jawbreaker. Izzi hits a clothesline for a near fall. Izzi kicks Rain and goes back to the rear chin lock.

Rain fights to her feet and punches her way out. Rain throws punches and chops. Rain keeps chopping, but Izzi stops her with a backbreaker. Izzi sends Rain to the apron. Rain kicks her and climbs up top. Rain hits a missile dropkick, then a clothesline, then a back elbow. Rain misses a back heel kick but lands a round kick and an Exploder.

Rain chops Izzi in the corner. Izzi shoves her away and hits a codebreaker. Rain fires a rolling elbow and climbs again. Rain leaps over Izzi and boots her. Izzi catches Rain off the ropes and plants her with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.

Rain hits a forearm and Izzi fires back. They trade shots. Dame gains the edge, but Rain slips out of a power bomb and rolls her up for a near fall. Izzi hits a spear and both fall to the floor. Rain sends Izzi into the ring steps. Rain rolls her back inside and hits a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.

Izzi knees Rain and hits a crucifix bomb for a near fall. Izzi boots Rain and pulls her up, but Rain snaps off a cutter and follows with a flying headbutt. Niko jumps on the apron and blocks a punch.

Izzi boots Rain again. Shea Spears appears at ringside wearing a hoodie and a hat. Rain capitalizes and hits ThunderStruck for the three count.

Winner: Lizzy Rain

Lounge: Romeo, Cruz, Noam & Saquon

Romeo, Cruz, and Noam hang out in the lounge talking about what they can do next.

Saquon walks in. Noam apologizes for last week, but says they handled things fine.

Saquon tells Cruz the last time he saw him, he was beating him all over Madison Square Garden. Saquon says he’s a different man now, and everyone can see what he’s about to do.

Kelani Jordan shows up. He tells Cruz what’s going to happen once he signs the contract. Kelani says he’s never had a title match. Cruz walks away.

Vanity Project Backstage

Vanity Project complain about the tag title scene and the idea that Myles and Tavion could earn a title match.

Jackson says he knows Myles can win tonight and then they’ll have the North American Title too.

Keanu Carver walks in. Vanity Project leave, except for Myka.

Keanu says he wants a match. Stone is surprised it was that easy.

Stone tells Waller to get back inside the building.

NXT Underground Preview

We look at the upcoming NXT Underground match.

Lola says Kendal has no idea how to prove herself in this kind of fight. Lola says a champion can’t just be happy to show up. Kendal might run the division one day, but not while Lola is here. Lola says she has the advantage and she will expose Kendal.

The show cuts to a commercial break. We will be back for more WWE NXT results for July 28, 2026.

Thea & Jaida Backstage

Thea says she’s happy Jaida won and that the right person came out on top.

Jaida says she hasn’t been a good friend to Thea, but she appreciates her support. Thea says she knows how tough it’s been.

Jaida says Nattie made her feel like she was on an island by herself.

Thea tells her they have a tag match next week against Karmen and Nikkita.

Jaida says she appreciates her, and Thea hugs her.

Kam Hendrix vs. Myles Borne — North American Championship

They lock up and Kam breaks clean, then they tie up again. Kam shoves Myles back, but Myles shoots in and hits a double‑leg takedown. Kam kicks the midsection and grabs a wrist lock. Kam works the shoulder and drops Myles into an armbar. Myles twists out with an arm wringer and blocks a punch. Myles keeps the wrist lock while Cruz greets a few new coworkers at ringside.

Kam punches Myles. Myles fires back. Kam kicks him and hits a shoulder tackle. Kam slams Myles and gets a near fall. Kam punches him again, but Myles hits a dropkick that sends Kam to the floor. Myles hits a flip dive onto Kam. Kam rips Myles down on the apron.

Kam breaks the count, pulls Myles out, and sends him into the apron. Myles Irish whips Kam into the ring post and follows with a clothesline. Kam rolls to the opposite side and drops to the floor. Kam returns to the ring. Myles hits punches and a European uppercut, then sends Kam into the turnbuckles. Kam avoids the second attempt, but Myles still manages to send him into the corner again. Myles hits a side slam for a near fall.

Kam hits a back heel kick and a punch for a near fall. Kam kicks Myles in the ribs. Myles whips Kam, but runs into a knee. Kam hits a back‑drop driver into the turnbuckles. Kam kicks him and throws punches. Kam drops a knee on the head and hits a forearm. Kam keeps punching. Kam lifts Myles and hits a wrist‑clutch slam for a near fall. Kam throws more punches.

Kam locks in a reverse chin lock and drops elbows for a near fall. Kam hits a forearm. He clamps on a half‑nelson and chin bar. Kam blasts Myles with a Northern Lariat. He hits another Northern Lariat and gets a near fall.

Myles punches back. Kam answers. Myles fires more shots and hits two clotheslines. Myles hits a back body drop and a hip toss. Myles dropkicks Kam to the floor. They return to the ring and Myles hits a powerslam. Myles goes for Borne Again, but Kam grabs the ropes. Kam gets a near fall.

Mason Rook watches from the back and starts walking toward the ring.

Myles hits another powerslam for a near fall. Kam rolls to the floor. Kam hits a forearm to stop Myles from diving.

Tavion tries to keep Mason from getting involved.

Kam hits a flying kick for a near fall. Kam goes for a belly‑to‑back suplex, but Myles lands on his feet and hits Borne Again for the three count.

Winner: Myles Borne

After the match, Mason goes after Kam while Vanity Project jump Tavion and Myles. Myles and Tavion fight them off and send them to the floor.

Emily, Lizzy Rain & Tristan Angels Backstage

Emily asks Lizzy what comes next. Lizzy says she always feels drained after a match and she picked up a lot from watching Shiloh.

Tristan walks in and tells Lizzy she might want to rethink who she chooses as her role models.

Bronco Nima & Lucien Price Backstage

Bronco and Lucien are in the room when Angel and Humberto show up. They tell Bronco everything is about them now. Lucien isn’t thrilled to see them.

Backstage — Stone, Waller, Zaria, Wren

We return from commercial. Stone tells Waller he needs to meet with him as soon as he gets back inside.

Zaria asks Stone who her next title challenger is.

Wren walks in and asks the same question. She says she can be Zaria’s next opponent.

Stone says Wren can defend the Speed Title against Zaria, and if Wren wins, she earns a shot at Zaria’s championship.

Uriah Connors & Channing Lorenzo vs. Lucien Price & Bronco Nima

Uriah and Nima start the match. Nima sends Uriah to the mat, and Uriah tags in Channing. Channing throws a punch, but Nima knocks him down with a shoulder tackle. Nima tries a slam, but Channing slips out. Uriah tags back in, and Price enters. Price hot‑shots Uriah on the ropes and gets a near fall.

Uriah chops Price and immediately regrets it. Price chops him even harder. Nima tags in. They hit a double back elbow, and Nima gets a near fall. Channing makes a blind tag, clips Nima’s leg, and he and Uriah hit forearms. They try a double suplex, but Nima suplexes both of them instead.

Channing gets thrown into the corner. Price sends Uriah into the opposite corner and splashes him. Uriah dodges a chop, but Nima sends him to the floor. Price knees Channing. They Biel Channing over the top rope and drop him onto everyone on the floor.

Price hits a clothesline on Channing in the corner. Nima tags in and they hit a pair of forearms. Nima whips Channing and kicks Uriah, then hits an accordion backbreaker. Nima goes for a boot, but Uriah pulls Channing out of the way. Channing hits a codebreaker. Uriah tags in and punches Nima. Channing tags back in and kicks Nima in the corner. Uriah tags in and chops Nima. Channing tags again. Uriah hits an elbow and Channing follows with a knee for a near fall.

Channing applies a reverse chin lock. Nima snap‑mares out and punches him. Channing kicks Nima and knocks Price off the apron. Uriah tags in. Channing hits a springboard back elbow. Uriah hits a swanton for a near fall. They put Nima on the turnbuckles and try a double superplex, but Nima blocks it. He kicks Channing away and stomps him off the turnbuckles.

Price and Channing tag in. Price runs wild and splashes both Channing and Uriah.

Angel and Humberto walk toward the ring.

Uriah hits a superkick on Price. Uriah and Channing hit a high‑low combination for the three count.

Winners: Uriah Connors and Channing Lorenzo

After the match, Lucien is not happy to see Angel and Humberto.

We Hear From Kendal Grey

Kendal says this is the biggest match of her career and stepping into an Underground fight changes everything. She says she has been training with her head down and pushing herself harder than ever.

Her father talks about how she prepares and what she needs to do to survive this kind of match.

Kendal says she knows she’s the underdog, and that’s exactly why she accepted the challenge. She says she brought in extra help, and we see her training with Julius Creed. Kendal says she wouldn’t be in WWE without Julius guiding her early on.

Tristan Angels vs. Shiloh Hill

Hill blocks a punch and hits a headbutt. Angels boots him as Hill charges into the corner. Hill hits a back body drop and a clothesline. Angels fires a double throat thrust. Hill answers with an elbow and a shoulder breaker for a two count.

Angels sends Hill into the turnbuckles and drops him to the mat. Angels hits an elbow to the back of the head and follows with a chop. Hill hits a facebuster and knocks Angels down. Hill hits a flying shoulder tackle and Angels rolls to the floor. Hill follows.

Angels tries to whip Hill into the apron. Hill tries to swing on the apron, but Angels stops him and hits a hanging neckbreaker. Angels slams Hill’s head into the apron and kicks him. Angels gets a near fall.

Angels hits a suplex and gets a near fall. He locks in a reverse chin lock. Hill backs Angels into the turnbuckles, and Angels climbs onto Hill’s back. Hill drops straight down to break the hold. Angels rolls to the apron. Angels drops Hill on the top rope and hits an elbow. He gets a near fall, then another. Angels applies a Japanese strangle hold. He sends Hill down and hits a forearm for a near fall.

Hill tries a snap mare but Angels escapes. Hill punches him. Angels whips Hill. Angels blocks a boot and hits a hanging backbreaker. Hill punches. Angels punches back. Hill hits a forearm and a boot. Hill slams Angels and hits an inward senton for a near fall. Hill puts Angels on the turnbuckles and climbs up.

Angels chops Hill down. Hill catches Angels coming off and hits a powerslam for a near fall. Hill goes to the turnbuckles. Angels hits the ropes and crotches him. Angels hits a step‑up enzuigiri. Angels goes for a superplex, hits it, and gets a near fall. Angels slaps Hill over and over. Hill slaps back and clotheslines Angels over the top rope.

Angels sends Hill into the announce table. Angels sends Hill into the ring steps. Angels sets for a curb stomp on the steps, but Hill moves. Hill powerbombs Angels onto the announce table and gets a near fall. Angels slips out of a belly‑to‑back suplex and rolls Hill up with a hand on the ropes, but the referee stops the count.

Hill blasts him with a pop‑up forearm and hits a shoulder in the corner. Hill finishes it with a neckbreaker off the turnbuckles for the three count.

Winner: Shiloh Hill

– Next week, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights face Vanity Project for the tag titles.  Thea Hail and Jaida Parker face Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons.  Wren SInclair faces Zaria for the Speed Title.  Kendal Grey versus Lola Vice in an Underground Match.

Cruz Montana Speaks

Cruz Montana walks through the crowd and steps into the ring.

He asks the crowd what’s good. He says he prides himself on being real, and these are words he never thought he would say. Cruz Montana is a WWE Superstar. He says there were plenty of nights when he didn’t think he would see tomorrow. He grew up in some of the toughest neighborhoods in New York, and every day was a fight just to make it out.

He says he’s not a saint. He made mistakes. Most of the time, he was fighting the man in the mirror. He thought the dream was dead. He had to choose between being another guy with wasted potential or becoming the man his daughter would be proud to call her father.

They told him he hit his ceiling as a tag wrestler. He says that stuck with him. He fought through some of the toughest battles of his life and went through a long losing streak. Then he started winning again, and it wasn’t about validation. It was about getting a second chance.

He says he loves and appreciates everything TnA did for him. Tonight, he stands here as a WWE Superstar, and nothing was handed to him. He won’t let his past decide his future. He says he’s at the start of the chapter he’s chasing. He came here with a mission — to prove he can stand with the best in WWE. He says he’s not here to fill a spot. He’s here to take the spot. And that spot is the NXT Championship.

He tells Waller that was the cut promo, and now he’ll say what he needs to say straight to his face.

Tony D’Angelo’s music hits, and Tony walks to the ring.

Tony welcomes Cruz to NXT. Since Cruz interrupted him last week, Tony says he wanted to give him a proper introduction. Tony reminds him he is the NXT Champion. He says he has watched some of the hottest names walk into NXT and talk about changing the brand and changing the business. Tony says he believes everything Cruz said, except for one thing. Cruz wants the champion’s spot. Tony says that spot is taken until further notice. You can be the realest, the nastiest, and the baddest, but you will not be champion.

Cruz says he’ll show Tony exactly how he plans to take that spot.

Waller blindsides Cruz from behind and kicks him. Tony punches Cruz. Waller moves, and Cruz accidentally clotheslines Tony.

NXT Preview – July 28, 2026

Tonight’s WWE NXT features the return of Cruz Montana, formerly Mike Santana, one week after his first appearance as a contracted wrestler. Montana stepped onto the scene last Tuesday and immediately called out NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo following D’Angelo’s successful defense against Naraku. Montana now looks to continue making noise as he settles into the NXT roster.

NXT North American Champion Myles Borne puts his title on the line against Kam Hendrix. Borne secured a future NXT Tag Team title opportunity for himself and Tavion Heights last week, but tonight his focus shifts back to singles gold. Hendrix steps into a major opportunity as he looks to shake up the North American title picture.

Lizzi Rain goes one‑on‑one with Izzi Dame. Both women continue building momentum in the division, and tonight’s match gives each a chance to climb the ladder.

Shiloh Hill and Tristan Angels continue their feud after Hill’s destroyed tooth became the spark for their rivalry. The tension has grown each week, and tonight they meet again as the issue becomes more personal.

Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM face Uriah Connors and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo of BirthRight. Both teams look to strengthen their standing in the tag division, and tonight’s match adds another chapter to their ongoing battle for position.
