Hangman Page made his return on 7/11 episode of AEW Collision and used the moment to outline a new direction for his career. The former champion, who had been away since March, opened the show in his home state of Virginia with a reflective promo about what comes next.
Page spoke about his gardening hobby, using it as a metaphor for his future. He explained that planting seeds does not always guarantee growth, but it is still worth the effort. The message made it clear he is ready to move forward, even without knowing exactly how things will unfold.
New Focus After World Title Stipulation
During the promo, Page addressed the stipulation from his loss to MJF at Revolution. Because of that defeat, he can no longer challenge for the AEW World Championship.
Instead of dwelling on that limitation, Page shifted his focus to other opportunities. He referenced current champions such as TNT Champion Kevin Knight and International Champion Kyle Fletcher, hinting that he could pursue different titles moving forward.
He closed by saying that he has defined himself one way for the past seven years, but now it is time to find something new.
“For seven years, for seven years, I have defined myself with the one goal that I held above all others—the one goal that I held above all others: to chase, to win and to hold the World Championship. But now I am faced with the question, ‘Who is Hangman without the World Championship?’ And the honest truth is that I don’t know, but we are damn sure going to find out, aren’t we?”
Page was last seen on March 15 at AEW Revolution, where he lost to MJF in a Texas Death Match with the career-altering stipulation. The situation has drawn additional attention following Kenny Omega’s recent win over MJF on Dynamite under a similar condition.
With his return now complete, Page appears ready to begin a new chapter, with a different focus and fresh goals in AEW.
