Even while facing major sports competition, the June 16 episode of WWE NXT saw a noticeable increase in viewership on The CW.
The show averaged 610,000 viewers, marking an 11.3% increase compared to the previous week. In the key 18–49 demographic, NXT maintained a 0.09 rating, matching the prior week’s performance and tying its strongest showing in that category since May 5.
The improvement came despite heavy competition from a FIFA World Cup match broadcast on Fox, which drew more than nine million viewers and a 2.99 rating in the 18–49 demo, making it the most-watched program on television that night. Against that backdrop, NXT finished last among network programming in both total viewership and the key demographic.
Year-over-year comparisons still show a decline for the brand. Compared to the same week in 2025, total viewership was down 7.6%, while the 18–49 rating dropped 43.8%.
Despite the strong external competition, the weekly increase suggests a modest rebound for NXT, particularly in maintaining consistency within its target demographic.
