LA Knight Attacks IShowSpeed During Livestream as WrestleMania 42 Feud Escalates

The WrestleMania 42 storyline involving IShowSpeed and LA Knight took a dramatic turn outside of WWE programming on Thursday, when Knight interrupted Speed’s live stream and physically attacked him.

The segment followed directly from this week’s episode of WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden, where Speed accidentally struck Knight with brass knuckles during The Vision’s World Tag Team Championship victory over The Usos.

During Thursday’s stream, Speed attempted to apologize, insisting he never intended to get involved in the situation. However, the apology did not go as planned. Knight appeared and escalated the situation, throwing Speed into his streaming setup. The attack left Speed visibly shaken and in tears.

The moment also tied into a challenge Speed had set for himself during the broadcast, where he vowed not to end the stream until someone made him laugh or cry. That condition was met in a way that blurred the line between entertainment and storyline, as the confrontation played out live for viewers.

Before the physical altercation, Knight revealed that he had arranged for Speed to appear on the April 6 episode of RAW in Houston to address the situation further, suggesting the feud will continue to unfold on WWE television.

The current expectation is that the rivalry will culminate at WrestleMania 42, where Speed is set to team with World Tag Team Champions Logan Paul and Austin Theory against Knight and The Usos. However, according to Fightful, WWE is also considering adjusting the match format to a traditional tag bout, with Speed and Knight positioned in their respective teams’ corners if Speed is not deemed ready for full in-ring competition.

Speed’s involvement with WWE began on the March 23 episode of RAW, where Danhausen “cursed” him backstage. Since then, Speed has leaned into a bad luck storyline across both WWE programming and his social media platforms.

With tensions continuing to rise both on-screen and online, the feud between Speed and Knight has quickly become one of the more unique builds heading into WrestleMania 42.
