IShowSpeed could be stepping into the ring once again, as he is reportedly being lined up for a match at WrestleMania 42. According to the Wrestling Observer, the current plan calls for Speed to compete in a six-man tag team match.
The proposed bout would see IShowSpeed team with new World Tag Team Champions Logan Paul and Austin Theory to face LA Knight and The Usos.
This potential match stems from events that unfolded on the March 30 episode of WWE RAW at Madison Square Garden. During the World Tag Team Championship match, Speed became unintentionally involved in the finish. As Knight attempted to stop Paul from using brass knuckles, Speed fell over the barricade and accidentally struck Knight with the weapon. Paul then capitalized, using the knuckles to knock out Jimmy Uso, allowing Theory to secure the pinfall and win the titles.
Following the match, Paul Heyman stated that The Vision would have Speed’s back moving forward, especially with tensions rising against The Usos.
Despite the six-man tag being the current direction, plans are not fully locked in. Meltzer noted that WWE has a backup option if Speed is not ready to compete. “If Speed isn’t ready, they could do a tag match with Knight and Speed in the corners, but right now, it’s the trios match that is on the match listing,” he reported.
Speed has limited in-ring experience, having only competed once before. He made a surprise appearance in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble, replacing Akira Tozawa before being quickly eliminated by Bron Breakker.
In recent weeks, Speed has remained involved in WWE storylines, including a segment on the March 23 episode of RAW where he was cursed by Danhausen.
WrestleMania 42 is scheduled to take place on April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the event is expected to feature a packed card that could include up to 16 matches.
