WWE SmackDown and AEW Collision Ratings for January 9 and 10 – WWE SmackDown saw a decline in viewership for its January 9 episode, according to Programming Insider. The show averaged 990,000 viewers on USA Network, down from the 1.175 million viewers recorded on January 2. The episode also posted a 0.26 rating in the 18–49 demographic, which was slightly lower than the 0.28 demo rating from the previous week.
Several factors likely contributed to the lower numbers. The January 9 episode aired from Germany and was taped earlier in the day, while also being made available live on Netflix. The unusual scheduling and international broadcast setup may have affected overall viewership on USA Network.
Despite the drop, SmackDown still finished second for the night on cable television. The show was only beaten by the College Football Playoff Semifinal between Indiana and Oregon, which dominated the night with 17.164 million viewers and a 2.17 rating in the 18–49 demographic.
SmackDown also generated strong engagement on YouTube. The most viewed video from the episode was Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match, which drew 1.2 million views.
