Countdown to Genesis
TNA International Championship Match – Stacks vs. Eric Young vs. BDE vs. KJ Orso
Orso is the former Fuego del Sol in AEW, who has appeared quite a bit in GCW in recent years.
Everyone started brawling. Stacks backdropped Orso. Young and BDE battled on the floor. Orso ducked a clothesline and nailed a twisting DDT for a two count. Orso went for a Sliced Bread but was sent into the buckles. He nailed a headscissors, sending them both over the top to the floor. BDE hit a tope on Stacks. Orso them nailed one on Young. Everyone battled back into the ring. BDE and Orso worked over their opponents in the corner. Young and Stacks came back with clotheslines. Stacks dumped Orso over the top to the floor. BDE battles Young and Stacks in a two on one situation. Orso returned to hit some nice moves and near falls. BDE nailed a springboard stunner on Stacks. Young nailed a piledriver on Orso but Stacks picked the bones and scored the pin.

Tessa Blanchard & Mila Moore vs. Indi Hartwell & Vicious Vickie Venuto.
Venuto is from New Jersey and is a regular on a lot of Northeast independents. She had a strong showing last year vs. Tessa Blanchard for Awesome Championship Wrestling.
Venuto and Tessa started out. She caught Blanchard with a roll up and worked over her arm. Hartwell tagged in and nailed a suplex. Hartwell nailed a big boot and Venuto covered Tessa for a two count. Tessa cornered her and drilled Venuto with a series oif kicks. Moore tagged in and continued the stomping. She began working over the back of Venuto’s leg. Blanchard and Moore tagged in and out, working her over. Tessa stomps on her arm and kept working on the leg. Venuto was beat down for some time. Moore looked very good and aggressive here. Venuto tried to fight her way out but was cut off again by Tessa.
Hartwell finally got the hot tag and battled Tessa. Moore interfered and was hit with a spinebuster. Venuto tagged in and went to the top but Robert Stone distracted the referee, allowing Victoria Crawford to knock her off the top. Indi went after her, getting into it with The Elegance Brand, who were at ringside. They prevented her from returning to the ring. Tessa nailed a DDT on Venuto for the pin.

They showed a highlight package of the TNA on AMC premiere.
AJ Francis vs. Rich Swann
Swann started fast, hitting a rana and some offense into the corner. He beat Francis with a series of rights in the corner and nailed several kicks before clotheslining Francis over the top to the floor. Swann went for a dive but was caught. He escaped a chokeslam on the apron and hit a springboard flip to the floor onto Francis. Back in the ring, Swann measured and nailed a series of kicks before being smashed out of the air to the mat. Francis choked Swann against the ropes. Swann tried to fire up with right hands but was caught leaping off the buckles. Francis pressed and slammed him across the ring.
Francis nailed a running knee to the face while Swann was down in the corner. He pulled Swann to the floor and choked him against the ring steps. Swann tried to block a chokeslam and nailed several kicks. He was throttled over the top to the floor. Swann was almost counted out but returned at the last moment to the ring.
Swann made a comeback and hit a 450 splash off the top for a two count. He went back to the top but was caught and tossed off by Francis. Francis went to the ropes to grandstand but Swann slipped underneath trying for a powerbomb. Francis stopped him and went for a superplex. Swann bit him in the arm to stop it and shoved Francis off, sending him crashing to the mat. Swann came off the top but was smashed down by Francis.
Francis went for a powerbomb. He teased a Styles Clash but Swann slipped out and nailed a Code Red. Swann was cut off and hit with a big one-armed chokeslam for the pin.
Winner: AJ Francis
– Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt ran down the lineup. They showed highlights of Mike Santana winning the TNA title on Impact.
– Backstage, TNA Champion Mike Santana said he wanted to shout out to everyone after he won the title. The most important call was from his daughter. He’s going to continue to show why he’s the best.
Elijah vs. Mustafa Ali
Eliah was attacked but outsmarted The Great hands on the floor. He worked over Ali on the floor and tossed him back into the ring. The Great Hands tried to interfere again but was taken down. This allowed Ali to nail him from behind with a tope. He worked over Elijah in the ring, slamming him over and over again. Ali nailed a standing moonsault for a two count. Ali worked over Elijah’s arm.
Elljah made a comeback and nailed several right hands. He went for a powerbomb but Ali blocked him. Elijah nailed him with a right and a leaping knee and covered him for a two count. Ali caught Elijah and nailed a DVDR for a two count. Ali went to the top but Elijah moved out of the way and caught him with a tombstone piledriver. Ali escaped the pin attempt but then collapsed.
Elijah and Ali battled to the top. The Great Hands and Tasha Steelz saved Ali, who then nailed a dropkick. Elijah caught him and nailed a sit-out powerbomb. He covered Ali but Agent Zero pulled the referee out of the ring. The ref tossed everyone from ringside. Steelz nailed Elijah with his own guitar from behind as he was going for a tombstone, allowing Ali to score the pin.
Winner: Mustafa Ali
The Last Dance – Eddie Edwards vs. JDC (JDC’s retirement match)
The System all came out together. Edwards and JDC then had their own entrances. JDC came out wearing Terry Funk style striped pants and carried a towel like Terry did.
They faced off in a friendly manner. JDC tried to roll him up for a two count. Edwards clapped for the effort.
They locked up again, trading holds as they grappled back and forth. Edwards backed him into the corner but broke free. JDC grabbed him in a side headlock. Edwards escaped and sent him into the ropes but was tackled down. JDC nailed an armdrag takedown and cinched in an armbar. Edwards smashed him into the buckles and nailed several chops. Fandango made a comeback but was caught with a kick in the corner. Edwards nailed a top rope rana but JDC rolled to the outside. Edwards hit a tope suicida to the floor.
They battled on the floor, exchanging chops. JDC slammed Edwards on the apron. They continued battling on the floor. Edwards’ arm was slammed on the apron several times. JDC was thrown back into the ring. He nailed Edwards with a series of chops. They battled back and forth with clubbing shots. Edwards was knocked to the floor. JDC hit a flip dive to the floor. They battled back into the ring. Edwards missed a charge in the corner and was nailed in the back. JDC drilled him to the mat for another two count.
JDC went for a suplex but Edwards escaped. Edwards was caught with a DDT and a Falcon Arrow for a two count. They continued to battle back and forth. Edwards nailed a spinning slam for a two count. Edwards locked on a sleeper. JDC came back to nailed a Lion Tamer style Boston Crab. Edwards battled his way out. They battled back to the corner to the ropes. JDC nailed a Kryptonite Krunch off the ropes for a two count. JDC went to the top for an Alabama Jam but Edwards moved. Edwards nailed the Boston Knee Party for a two count.
Edwards scored several two counts. Edwards nailed a fisherman’s buster style suplex and another Boston Knee Party, then pinned JDC.
Winner: Eddie Edwards
Edwards embraced JDC on the mat as the rest of The System came to the ring clapping. They all raised each other’s arms as the roster came out on stage clapping. JDC kissed the may for a long time. He was left in the ring, where he applauded the crowd before leaving the ring. He went around the ring slapping hands, embracing the announcing team. He went to the stage, where the roster celebrated with him and he saluted the audience one more time.
– The injury report: Elijah is being evaluated. Steve Maclin is out. That’s why he was on date night with Deonna Purrazzo Thursday.
– They showed highlights of The Righteous and The Hardys’ recent interactions.
Mara Sade vs. Ryan Nemeth
The bell rings as Ryan grabs Mara and pie faces her. He trash talks the fans as Mara then applies a sleeper on Ryan, who slams her down. He flexes and then grabs Mara by the hair. Mara fights back as Ryan then runs the ropes. Mara goes for a superkick, but Ryan ducks and rolls out of the ring. Mara then levels Ryan, as she and Ryan are on the outside. Mara tosses Ryan back in the ring, but Mara is then tripped up…Ryan drops Mara spine first on the ring apron. Ryan then saves Mara loves him. Ryan rolls Mara back in the ring and then puts a boot to her chest to cover her, but she kicks out a two…Mara is up and blocks a punch. Mara dropkicks Ryan to the corner. Mara hits Ryan with a big superman forearm. Mara then DDT’s Ryan and covers him, but he kicks out at two.
Ryan pokes Mara in the eye and then slams her down. He tries to pin her holding the ropes, but the ref catches it. Mara sends Ryan down with a slingblade. Mara comes down off the rope awkwardly, as Ryan rolls her up and uses the bottom rope to get the pin, as the ref didn’t see it.
Winner: Ryan Nemeth
– Backstage, Stacks and Arianna Grande cut a promo. Grace said they stacked the odds against her man because her father made decisions with his emotions and not hs brain. Stacks said he shoved it right in Santino’s face. She said he lose his job, his daughter and the International title. He’s about to lose his job to Daria Rae.
TNA Knockouts Championship – Lei Ying Lee (c) vs. Zaria
They faced off and began using their strength agaionst each other, showing a lot of intensity before shoving off from each other and facing off again. Zaria caught Lee and went for a slam but the champ escaped. Zaria tackled her down to the mat. Lee came off the ropes but was caught and slammed. Zaria went for a slam but Lee escaped and exploded with several knees and kicks.
Lee worked her over with right hands in the corner. Zaria caught her and pulled Lee up with a choke in the corner. Zaria dropped her and covered the champ for a two count. Zaria nailed a leaping elbow in the corner then clobbered her with a clothesline for a two count. Zaria has looked strong thus far. She cinched in a Sharpshooter variation. Lee escaped but was pulled up and slammed down. She went back to the Sharpshooter variation, trying to force a submission.
Lee made a comeback and nailed a series of right hands. Zaria cut her and went for a big kick. Lee avoided and nailed a T-Bone Tazplex for a two count. Lee locked on a sleeper and climbed atop Zaria’s back. Zaria charged into the corner, flipping with Lee taking the brunt of the crash. Zaria covered her for a two count. Zaria and Lee battled outside on the apron. Zaria slammed her on the apron outside and they crashed to the floor.
The TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions The Elegance Brand began watching from the entrance.
Zaria speared Lee and hit a TKO but knocked the referee down as she turned. She covered Lee but there was no referee. Sol and Xia tried to wake the referee. The Elegance brand ran down but Sol and Xia took them out. Zaria checked on the referee but missed a charge into the buckles. Lee rolled her up for a two count. Zaria was selling her shoulder was hurt. Lee nailed a top rope rana.
They faced off and battled back and forth with right hands. Good exchange here. Zaria went for a move but was pulled into a DDT. Lee nailed Zaria and pinned her.
Winner and still Knockouts Champion: Lei Ying Lee
After the match, TNA President Carols Silva brings the title to the ring as puts it back on Lee. Zaria extends the hand to Lee, as the music of Elayna Black hits. She makes her way out signaling she wants a shot at Lee for the title.
– We go backstage with Nic Nemeth talking about the TNA World Title Match, as he his the special guest referee.
TNA Tag Team Championship – The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) (c) vs. The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent)
Before the bell rings, the Hardys grabs The Righteous as we get a brawl at ringside, while the Hardys music is still playing. Dutch is dropped on the floor, while the music finally stops. Vincent and Jeff are in the ring, as the bell rings to get this match officially underway.
Vincent mocks Jeff, as he takes him down and stomps on him in the center of the ring. Matt is tagged in. Vincent is doubled teamed by the Hardys. Matt nails Vincent in the back and tries to pull the earing of Vincent. Vincent is sent into the ropes and then hit with a leg drop by Jeff who tagged back in. Jeff sends Vincent to the corner. Matt and Jeff double team Vincent with the poetry in motion. Vincent fights back as Matt picks up Vincent and drops him with a side effect. Matt covers Vincent, but he kicks out at two. Dutch tries to distract Matt, but as Vincent sends Matt the corner, Dutch drops him. Vincent sends Matt to the corner, as Dutch is tagged back in. Dutch grabs Matt and sends him into the corner. Dutch tags Vincent back in, as we get a ‘Let’s Go Hardys’ chant. Vincent levels Matt and tells Matt he is sorry. Vincent tags in Dutch. Dutch nails Matt and then stomps on him after he goes down. Dutch uses the middle rope to choke Matt, as the ref calls for the break. Matt is down in the corner of The Righteous. Dutch puts the boots to the throat of Matt…Matt comes back and drops Dutch with a twist of fate! Both men are down…
Matt rolls to the corner to tag in Jeff, as Vincent is tagged in. Jeff picks up Vincent and drops him. Jeff covers Vincent for only a two count. Jeff twists and bends Vincent in the center of the ring. Jeff applies the pressure as the ref tries to separate the two. Dutch comes in to break the hold, as Matt sends Dutch to the floor. Matt blind tag in and then drops Vincent and covers him for only a two count. Matt leads the fans in a ‘delete’ chant. Dutch trips Matt and is tagged in. Matt runs the ropes, but is dropped with a black hole like slam by Dutch. Vincent is tagged back in. Jeff was taken off the apron. Dutch drops Matt with a twist of fate, as Vincent connects with a Swanton Bomb. Vincent covers Matt, but Jeff pulls of Vincent. Both Vincent and Matt take each other down in the center of the ring. Jeff is down on the floor. Dutch goes for a leg drop off the apron, as Jeff rolls out of the way.
Matt and Vincent exchange blows in the center of the ring. Matt goes for a twist of fate, but Vincent counters. Dutch on the floor, has a mic and says this is what they wanted…to hurt as he he laughs. Matt picks up Vincent and drops him with a twist of fate. Jeff goes up on the top and comes down with a Swanton Bomb and covers Vincent to retain.
Winners and still TNA World Tag Team Champions: The Hardys
After the match, Dutch hands the tag title belts to the Hardys.
– They aired a promo from Leon Slater apologizing he isn’t there for reasons beyond his and the company’s control. He thanked Joe Hendry for stepping in for him.
Triple Threat Match – Moose vs. Joe Hendry vs. Cedric Alexander
They all took the fight to each other. Very fast paced stuff early. Hendry nailed a Fall Away Slam on Cedric. Moose and Alexander took out Hendry. Joe nailed a big boot on him. Hendry nailed a powerbomb on the apron on Joe. Cedric hit a dive. Hendry reversed an Irish whip and sent Cedric into the stairs, then backdropped Moose across the ring steps. The officials and the ringside doc all checked on Moose. They played up that Mose has been dealing with back issues. Carlos Silva came over the check on Moose as well.
Cedric and Hendry started wrestling. Alexander nailed a back suplex and hit a leaping charge. Hendry came back with an Olympic Slam for a two count. They battled back and forth. Alexander nailed a Michinoku Driver for a two count. The crowd chanted for Moose. Cedric and Joe exchanged chops. They each clotheslined the other. Moose fought his way back into the ring, getting a nice reaction from the crowd. Hendry and Alexander each nailed him but Moose exploded with headbutts and Uranage, which the crowd loved. They broke into Moose chants.
Alexander kicked off a Moose charge but Moose shocked him with a dropkick while Cedric was on the top. Hendry went for a suplex but Moose escaped and nailed several big chops. Moose nailed a big superplex but was then hit by a suplex with Hendry. Alexander came off the top and nailed a flying splash for a two count on Hendry. Great timing by Alexander there. Moose caught Alexander on the top and nailed a sit-out powerbomb for a two count. Moose and Hendry exchanged chops. Moose was caught with a powerbomb for a close two count.
Hendry was caught with a DDT by Cedric and trapped in a crossface. Hendry was going to tap but Moose grabbed his arm and prevented it from happening. Moose and Cedric battled back and forth. Cedric escaped the Uranage with a forward roll for a two count. Cedric pulled him into a Styles Clash for a close two count. The crowd chanted, “This is awesome.” Cedric controlled the ring but was speared as he went for a moonsaul off the ropes for a close two count.
Moose set up for a spear but his back gave out. Alexander nailed the Lumbar Check but Hendry nailed the Standing Ovation and scored the pin on Alexander.
Winner: Joe Hendry
– Commentary with a graphic shows the upcoming TV tapings for IMPACT.
– The music of Santino Marrella hits, as the Directory of Authority comes out, hyping up the main event. He invites the panel to give their predictions on who will win the Texas Death World Title Match.
TNA World Championship – Texas Death Match, Special Guest Referee: Nic Nemeth – Mike Santana (c) vs. Frankie Kazarian
They began fighting at the bell. Santana nailed a big kicl but caught on the ropes on the second. They battled to the floor, where Kazarian tried to nail Santana with a chair. Santana came off the steps with a leaping clothesline. Kazarian was cut near the ear and was bleeding. Santana pulled out a table and placed it in the ring. He then set a chair up near Kazaraan on the floor, diving off it into Kazarian. He covered Kazarian for a two count on the floor. They battled into the crowd, where Santana worked him over with right hands.
They battled, where Kazarian tried to suplex Santana from an elevated area of the crowd to the floor. Kazarian was shoved down. Santana dove off. They battled to a backstage hallway, where Kazarian slammed Santana into a garage door and hit him with a trash can. They battled back to the ringside area, where Santana was suplexed on the floor. They battled with chairs on the floor. Kazarian slammed Santana across the back. Santana finally slammed Kazarian on the floor and pinned him.
Kazarian was nearly counted out but made it to his feet before the ten count.
Santana went for a powerbomb off the apron but Kazarian grabbed the ropes to save himself. He drove Santana backwards into the ring post and then nailed a big boot. Kazarian hut a cutter off the apron through the table and covered Santana for a three count.
Santana was nearly counted out but returned to his feet at ten…only to be driven into the ring posts by a Kazarian leaping knee to the back.
The crowd chanted, “F you Frankie.”
Kazarian set up a table in the ring and then pulled a ladder out from under the ring. Santana then pulled a barbed wire bat out from under the ring. He charged Kazarian, who avoied it and went for the chicken wing. Santana escaped and nailed him with the bat, busting him open. He nailed a Michinoku Driver and pointed to the table. The place popped for that. He climbed the ladder and nailed a splash through the table for a two count but Kazarian pulled his shoulder up. The crowd still turned on Nemeth for not ccounting three.
Kazarian and Santana hit clotheslines on each other in stereo. Kazarian spit on Santana, so Santana wrapped his arm with barbed wire and nailed Spin the Block with it, pinning Kazarian.
Nemeth began counting down Kazarian, who failed to make it to his feet and stay there.
Kazarian was counted out.
Winner and still TNA Champion: Mike Santana
After the match, TNA President hands the title to Santana. Nic Nemeth raises the hand of Santana, then drops him with a danger zone. Nic grabs the call your shot trophy and calls for a referee. As the ref heads to the ring, Santana takes out Nemeth with a spin the block. The ref never made the match official, so the call your shot doesn’t count, as per commentary.
Santana holds the belt high as he has one foot on Nemeth. The credits are shown on the screen, as Santana celebrates… the show goes off the air.
