Richard Holliday Draws Strong Internal Interest In TNA – Interest in top independent star Richard Holliday is reportedly growing within TNA Wrestling, with multiple names inside the company pushing for him to be signed.
According to Jon Alba of The Takedown on Sports Illustrated, several sources within TNA have confirmed that Holliday’s name has come up repeatedly in locker room discussions. The report states that a number of talents have gone beyond casual conversations, with some “outright pushing” management to bring Holliday into the company. This internal support appears to come from both active roster members and individuals on the management side who are familiar with his work.
The report also revealed that creative ideas were discussed involving Holliday, including one specific pitch that would have seen him unveiled as “Mr. Elegance.” That role ultimately went to AJZ, another standout name on the independent scene, but the pitch itself highlights how seriously Holliday has been considered as a potential addition. While that idea did not move forward, it shows that Holliday was viewed as someone who could immediately fit into a defined character role on television.
Despite the growing interest, Alba notes that it remains unclear whether Holliday has had any formal contract talks with TNA. There is no confirmation that negotiations have taken place, even as enthusiasm for working with him continues to build within the company.
Holliday, 33, had a breakout year on the independent circuit and is widely regarded as one of the top free agents available. He previously spent six years in MLW, where he established himself as one of the promotion’s core stars. His career was temporarily halted when he battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, but his successful return to the ring earned him a WWE tryout and renewed attention across the industry.
TNA has been undergoing notable roster changes in recent weeks. The IInspiration departed the company after dropping the Knockouts Tag Team Titles on the AMC debut of iMPACT, while The Rascalz have officially signed with AEW. With movement happening across the roster, Holliday’s name continuing to surface internally could signal potential additions still to come.
