Eddie Kingston Announces Final Independent Wrestling Run

Eddie Kingston Announces Final Independent Wrestling Run – Eddie Kingston has confirmed that his time competing on the independent wrestling scene is coming to an end. The AEW star announced that his upcoming string of appearances will mark the final chapter of his career on the indies, signaling the close of a journey that has defined much of his two-decade-long career.

Kingston shared the news in a post on Threads, where he outlined his remaining schedule and long-term plans. “So this is my last indy run,” Kingston wrote. “Doing Beyond and a show in Jersey this weekend. After that, I am taking only one show a month. By next November, I am done with the indies and yeah nothing more to it. As of now, I have December and March, April, May.”

The announcement comes shortly after Kingston returned to action at AEW All Out in September, following several months on the sidelines due to injury. During his recovery, Kingston admitted he had considered retirement altogether but ultimately decided to continue wrestling — though with a more focused and limited schedule moving forward.

Kingston’s immediate plans include appearances for Beyond Wrestling, where he is scheduled to compete at Novembercanrana on November 14 in Cranston, Rhode Island. Known for his raw authenticity and emotional connection with fans, Kingston has long been a fixture on the independent circuit, wrestling for promotions such as CHIKARA, CZW, AAW, and PWG before signing with AEW in 2020.

In AEW, Kingston recently aligned with HOOK and Adam Page, though the trio suffered a loss to The Opps — Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Samoa Joe — on the November 5 episode of Dynamite. As he begins what he calls his “last indie run,” Kingston seems ready to close that chapter while maintaining a selective presence in AEW.
