Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize Walk Out of AEW Collision – A planned women’s tag team match for this weekend’s AEW Collision taping in Houston reportedly fell apart just hours before showtime after Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize walked out of the building.

According to a report from PWInsider, both women were scheduled to face Tay Melo and Anna Jay on Saturday’s broadcast but refused to participate after learning they were booked to lose for the second consecutive week. Sources told the outlet that Newell and Alize left the venue roughly one hour before bell time.

With the match in jeopardy, AEW officials made last-minute adjustments. Hyan and Maya World were tapped as replacements, stepping into the bout on short notice. The report adds that both received strong internal praise for their professionalism, with company officials said to be “appreciative” of their willingness to help keep the show on track.

Neither Newell (formerly Tegan Nox in WWE) nor Alize are believed to be under AEW contracts, and this situation may further limit their future opportunities with the promotion.

Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline later corroborated the initial report, revealing that there had already been behind-the-scenes issues involving both wrestlers the previous week. Their inclusion on the Houston card reportedly came as a surprise to many within the company given those prior problems.

A follow-up from Fightful Select offered additional context, noting that Newell and Alize were aware of the planned outcome but objected to the allotted match time of around three minutes. When told that the show’s timing could not be adjusted, both chose to leave rather than compete.

Following Collision, Newell and Alize took to social media to tease that they “had a lot to say,” suggesting their side of the story could soon surface. Both have since interacted with fans showing support, liking and retweeting messages about the controversy.
